Brueggers Bagels

I’ve been here before just because of the convenient location but I have to agree with the other reviews, employees are rude and totally disinterested and the food is so-​so. The bagel said «hot» when it wasn’t even warm, it was small and skinny. The soup was total crap-​inedible. Oh well… I will not be back.

They have dank cream cheese but only put maybe a teaspoons worth on the bagels. which are o.k. Coffee is WAY watery! got some when i had a coupon for a bagel and a coffee and ended up dumping it out. bleh. pricey and not that great

The food was so-​so. I will give them that.
But the employee experience was uncomfortable, to say the least. It’s one thing to run out of a product (in the short time I sat there, two costumers left disappointed by the Brueggers’ lack of wheat bread and tomato soup, of all things), but to stand there staring at the costumer after not having the most common of bagel shop items is just bizarre.
I did, however, enjoy the quiet, empty seating area. Very empty.

I wasn’t too surprised to see the negative reviews for this location. The employees are pretty rude. They barely say hello, then speak to each other in a different language while they are making your order and you usually have to repeat your order a couple of times for them to get it right.
But it’s the second best bagel I have ever had (the first being at a no-​name deli in NYC that my husband bit into and about fainted it was so fresh and hot and delicious) So I will put up with a little attitude to have one. They are always hot and fresh and the everything bagel has the perfect amount of spices on it. The inside is fresh and doughy and the outside is a little crisp. Yum-​mee.
An everything bagel toasted with butter and a cup of coffee for around $ 3 is a great way to start my day.
FYI– they always have the La Costa local newspaper in front of their store. The second page has Brueggers Bagels coupons. That’ll teach those rude employees. You don’t like my order? Don’t feel like working today? Here’s a coupon!

This is the absolute worst Bagel place I have ever been to. I have been there more than a half a dozen times, and they consistently get my order wrong. How hard is it to get the cream cheese on the right bagel?
Then when you complain they glare at you.
Of course when you get the right sandwich it’s great, but not worth the hassle.

They’ve got some really great and tasty food, but their employees are rude. They give such looks when I am placing my order.
Also, their cream cheese here is like rock hard. It doesn’t even really spread well over their bagels. lame.

Love the Onion bagel with a Snapple Peach Iced Tea (assuming I already had my morning coffee.) The coffee is not good. The Bagel sandwichs are. If you don’t care about the coffee you drink then Brueggers is just fine.
