Answered all our questions, fixed the problem and even changed the filter for me cause I couldn’t reach it. What outstanding service and so very appreciated… It is so hard to find
Customer service anymore… It really doesn’t get any better than Polar Bear !

Called and left a message and I never heard back. I wanted to get a quote for my 4,700 sq foot home for installation of A/​C so I will never know if they are «over the top» fantastic, like many of these reviews.

I wish we could give them a 10 STAR review! After dealing with several other companies, we were left, once again, with AC problems. Sadly, all prior AC repair companies left saying «All is fixed» — however, the truth was far from that — our problem continued to occur, and we felt so frustrated. Worst of all, when we called back to report that our AC was still not working properly, they didn’t want to hear about it, even though they had been paid.
Enter Polar Bear… It was actually a friend who suggested we call them. OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Vanessa (I think she’s the owner) immediately predicted the problem after simply talking to my husband on the phone– and better yet — her diagnosis was correct. This was the only company — after several came out– to honestly report the real issue and get it resolved. Their response time was immediate, their customer service stellar– but above all, THEY WERE ACCURATE AND HONEST. What a refreshing change. Now, how cool is that?! :)

A home is overwhelmingly useless at 90 degrees inside, with a sick dog, a fussy 7 week old infant and a broken AC unit. Vanessa and team came out in less than 24 hours and got us cool again. Great custom service, very honest, great prices and Angie’s List trusted. Don’t hesitate to call this team.

They were the only company that would come to look at problem. They fixed it immediately and the charge was reasonable. I would highly recommend for any type of vent, duct work!

In August of 2014 we moved our local business to a new location. Our building owner hired Polar Bear to install an a/​c and heating unit. The installers came out in a timely manor and installed what the owner of polar bear had suggested. The installers did a fantastic job ! The unit installed was undersized and struggled continuously to cool the space. After months of phone calls and heartache over too small of a unit, polar bear returned and swapped out the unit with a larger unit that was more appropriate for the space. Again a beautiful install and follow up the next day by Carl the installer ! Well done polar bear ! Thank you !

So honest and helpful! I had complicated issues and a 40 year old ducting system that was damaged and falling apart and allowing termite poison in my attic into my vents! They did the repairs right away and even finished on a Sunday. The quality of work and customer service were beyond excellent. Carl was extremely caring and knowledgable and Vanessa was so helpful and even did a conference call with my home warranty company to make sure I got a partial reimbursement. I can’t recommend them enough.

I had a new heating system installed 1÷10÷2015. First of all the price was excellent but there are more important things than price if one values there TIME and as a multi-​property owner I don’t have time to waste
The installation was timely, They were there next day on the hour.
Warrant was very good.
There bid was way fast and accurate with a list of references And I only deal with people of the highest integrity.

PBHA installed an air conditioning unit in my rental property on 4÷24÷14. I had gotten quotes from several companies, but overall it wasn’t the price that sold me on to them, it was their owner Vanessa. I mean the price did help, but it was her knowledge of what’s out there and what would be beneficial for me. Within 2 weeks or so, they installed the new unit and we were good to go. An issue came up within a month (May 15) with a leak and I called Vanessa. She sent her tech out to take a look. Even thou the leak was not their fault, but my contractors that installed a new sink, her tech took care of a small pipe that was to be connected from the AC to the drain without even a blink.
I was so happy with her prompt and courteous service that when my parents wanted to get a new AC Unit installed at their home, I told them to call Vanessa at PBHA. For their satisfaction, I told them to get estimates from others, but in the end even they went with PBHA for their AC. My dad who is an engineer, had only good things to say about their tech and his knowledge.
Come a little over 1 year later (8÷12÷14) my tenants call me saying that they are not getting any air downstairs — again Vanessa to the rescue. Turns out there was a 12in coil that was dislodged and needed to be replaced as well as the filter. Her tech came out on (⁸⁄₁₃) and within 2 days and $ 125 later the AC was back running again.
So while they were there — I have two AC units at my home, so i decided to schedule them for a maintenance on both. Their tech came out Saturday (8÷16÷14), checked out the unit and we were good to go. Or so I thought. Within an hour of the technician leaving, the big AC unit completely shut down and started throwing out warm air. Called them up and and let them know and again the tech came out to take a look. He tried very hard and was not able to locate any issues. He checked the pressure, freon, coils, everything. Only thing he could think of was a possible leak, but since it was late on Saturday he would not be able to get the Nitrous. The next day I spoke to Vanessa to see what was going on since I hadn’t heard back from them. Turns out their supply house was closed on Sunday. Well, she called her supply house, and got them to open for her, had her tech come out, run the tests (all negative) and make sure he didn’t leave till we had cool air. Really long story short, he got the cold air running.
With all the ups and downs, the main thing I took from this is the Customer Service that came along with everything that Polar Bear Heating and AC does. It’s that peace of mind that, hey, if something does go sideways, they are there to get you on track.
I highly recommend PBHA and Vanessa for your AC needs. Take it from someone that has seen them work their magic on at least 4 units. I will keep this review updated in-​case something else arises. Hope your experience is great as well.

I can not overstate how wonderful it was dealing with Polar Bear Heating & Air. We bought an ac unit from Sears two years ago and have had issues ever since. Every time a service technician would come out they neither diagnosed the problem, or attempted to fix said problem. I emailed Polar Bear on a Sunday morning and Vanessa contacted me within minutes. Later that day, Kurt came out diagnosed and fixed our problem, and all at a very reasonable price.
I would rather pay a fair price from a highly competent company than to have Sears come out for free and waste my time, over and over again.
Thanks Kurt and Vanessa for being knowledgeable, skilled, and easy to communicate with. I will always call you first when I have a problem and recommend you to anyone I know with heating or ac issues.

We just bought a condo and needed the asbestos ducts removed, I did my homework and got some quotes, some companies seemed like they didn’t want my business at all but Polar Bear was great from the very first conversation. When we finally got our keys she remembered the conversation from a month prior and came out to inspect the next day, as soon as she came in I couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Polar Bear, very down to earth and not sales pitchy at all. The crews came in the next day removed and replaced our ducts, added another in the kitchen and moved our unit on our very small patio so we had more room. The guys were on time and cleaned everything up after, when they called after to see what we thought (we weren’t home while they were there) they told us the even ran the ducts up higher in the attic because they knew we might want to store stuff up there, pretty freaking amazing that they are so thoughtful too. I will recommend them to every one I know.

Vanessa recently installed A/​C & Furnace at my Mom’s house. Gave a competitive bid, and did a wonderful job. Mom has been telling me endlessly how nice and professional Vanessa and the team were throughout the whole process. Vanessa was very patient answering the endless questions. I would highly recommended them to anyone who is looking to purchase new unit’s or who needs them serviced.

I recently called Polar Bear Heating and Air Conditioning for a replacement bid when my original furnace crashed in the middle of record cold January weather, and Vanessa was extremely helpful, went the extra mile to gather more info for me and answer all of my many questions, during what had to be a very busy week for her. Quick to respond, competitive prices, very knowledgable about the various options to consider and patient enough to explain everything. They are professional and thorough, definitely found a great resource in Polar Bear and Vanessa, I’ll be back again.

What can I say? I emailed Service Magic to have a new Heater and AC installed. I had 3 companies come out to my house to give me a bid. The first two companies that came out seemed very pushy and I did not feel comfortable at all, I had some questions and concerns and they really were not able to address them. The third company that came out was Polar Bear, Thank goodness! I met with the Sales Associate Vanessa, she was very informative, showed me all my options, and even had a great idea to move my ac unit away from the windows and somewhere in the yard where it was not visable. I loved that idea!!! Needless to say the crew came to my house; they were very professional and courteous. They dug a trench and added some vents to the kitchen at no extra charge. I should also mention that they were $ 600-​$ 1000 less than the other two companies and offered me a larger system and amazing service! I will recommend Polar Bear Heating and Air to everyone!
