Paws In Play

Our dog loves going to Paws and Play, and we love the people who take care of him. We’ve used them a lot for day care and boarding for 3 years, and we continue to use them even though they are 30 minutes away from where we now live in Boston.

If people only knew that their dogs barked all weekend, nights, and holidays they would never leave them there. I don’t think there’s anyone down there watching them. Called to discuss it and they were rude and just wanted to
one is watching those dogs. They barked from six in the morning all day ½/​15

It’s been a year and my dogs cut (puppy at the time) has finally healed but not without permanent scaring. After posting my initial review a manager got in touch with me and was furious that I had posted a negative review. He actually got his dogs and fights confused and accused me of lying. The manager insisted that his staff had called me and had offered to pay for vet bills. After several emails I kept insisting this never took place. The manager then realized he confused my puppy for another dog fight that happened on the same day. The manager then said that his staff now looks at German shepherds as aggressive dogs and they have to go through extra screening. My dog is a German shepherd but was the one who was hurt and has never been aggressive. Overall this was a very bad experience and I am updating my former review to one star due to the following…
–when my puppy was bitten very badly in their care no one called to notify me
–when I went to pick up my dog the manager didn’t even mention anything to me even though we had been chatting for several minutes. Once I saw my dog I noticed a very deep cut on his snout
–i was told it was a «play bite» but it was obvious after a few days the severity of the bite. I was upset that I believed the manager and didn’t take my dog to the vet immediately
–no one ever called to ask if my dog was ok
–when I posted the review the manager accused me of doing wrong because he got his dogs & fights confused
— it took 9 months for the cut to properly heal and my dog will always have a scar on his face because of it

Paws in Play is excellent! I bring my dog regularly for daycare, have boarded him there and they’ve groomed him as well. My dog loves to go there and the staff is very nice and friendly. I highly recommend Paws in Play!

I love this place. The pick up and drop off makes my life easier and they deliver food too. My dog is always tired and happy.

I brought my dog here for day care when I was staying at a friends house in Canton for the month– Lucky was never happier! Every morning her tail would wag when we would pull up and every night when I picked her up she would fall asleep immediately after getting in the car. The staff was great and I wish I lived closer to Canton so I could bring her here more!

It is hard to find a good daycare for a dog, let alone a loving «pitbull» Lucky our rescue pittie, was always turned away based on her breed, nothing else… Well Lucky, is not only scared of big dogs, furry/​hairy dogs but she prefers a quiet playtime… Barbara Jean listened to all my crazy concerns about lucky took her in for an evaluation (FREE!) and told me she had been accepted into their day care program!!! Lucky stayed 3 nights at Paws in Play, during that time I know Lucky was in the best of care. I got daily updates with pictures… When we picked her up, Barbara Jean told me lucky LOVED walking on the treadmill, something she had never done before!!! Barbara Jean is a true dog lover, who cares for every animal.

This gang of dog lovers are the best! They take amazing care of my dog. I use them for day care (weekly) and overnight care as needed. Jaxson is NEVER more excited as when «Doggy Dave» comes to the door to pick him up! He comes home so happy and tired. (the best part!) The groomer is awesome. She really does a beautiful job. I have heard that Barbara Jean is amazing although I have not had the pleasure of using her for training yet. I really need to. Soon! The «all inclusive» service is great. When they drop your dog off you can have everything else dropped off too… dog food, toys, treats etc. Same prices as store. I recommend Paws in Play to anyone who asks me. I don’t know what I would do without them! Thanks Dave and gang!
