History

Established in 1927.

HMC was founded in 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1975, the Company shifted it’s emphasis to servicing the requirements of small to midrange electronics manufacturers in the Northeast. In 1984, HMC relocated from Boston to a 20,000 square foot facility in Canton, where it is currently headquartered and serves as the Company’s centralized global distribution point.

Over the past decades, the expectations of the electronics industry have dramatically changed. To keep up with these expectations, we are always expanding our products and services. Our order fulfillment rate is well in excess of 90%. As with the rest of our business, our website continues to grow and evolve to better serve the needs of our customers.

I joined HMC Electronics in 2000 (back then Hub Material Company) as a Jr. Customer Service Rep. Over the years I have seen HMC grow from being a small supplier in New England selling mainly via catalog mailings and a local sales force to a National Supplier with an ever growing product offering.

We retain our Small Business focus by continuously working to improve ourselves through the technical training of our staff, improvements to our e-​commerce options and our communication (much now through social media) with our clients.
