My wife, daughter, and I took the drive out to Keithsburg Café a couple of weeks ago after reading a lot of great recommendations for it on our HOA Facebook group. We definitely would not have tried it on our own as we are wary of gas station food, but we would have missed out! The moment we walked in, my wife looked at me and said, «It smells like your grandma’s kitchen in here!» which mean it smells delicious. At least that’s what it means to me, I’m not as sure that she means it exactly the same way. We had a short wait for a seat, and the small space of the dining room prevented us from putting our daughter where she would have had more room, since it would have butted out into the area the servers needed to walk. Our server wasn’t exactly friendly, but she wasn’t rude either. I think she was just busy, although it was clear that the regulars received a much friendlier tone than the rest of us. The food was all great. My wife and I both had more or less the same food of biscuits, gravy, corned beef hash, bacon, grits, and eggs. We thought it would be a small meal somehow, but it took up almost the whole table! Our daughter had toast and egg, but she didn’t care for the eggs. I’m not sure if they added too much milk or if there was cheese in them, but for some reason she would not eat them, although she loves all the other eggs we’ve given her or ordered for her in other places. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry or if you’re opposed to sitting really close to other people, but do come here if you love good, down-home cooking and getting to chat with some friendly folks, most of whom seem to be long-time locals.

It’s how small town cafes should be. While the food is great it’s also just a great place to come in and catch up on local news/gossip. Your bound to run into someone you know locally. Excellent food and fast, friendly service. Great atmosphere.

We’ve visited once and had to pass by the other times we’ve tried because it was so crowded. For good reason, the food is good with generous portions for the price, and it’s family owned which is a priority for us. Do be warned, if you look a little different(I have lots of visible tattoos) you might get some notice from the regulars, but they’re harmless and they’ll probably smile back if you smile first.

Excellent and FAST! There’s not much room undid, but tables and counter turn over quickly. My Sausage Gravy was excellent — tangy and smooth without being thick and over bearing. Biscuits didn’t rise and shine as high as I would’ve liked but were fairly tasty. 3 Eggs, Biscuit, and Sausage Gravy for $ 4 — hard to beat!

Our family has come here a couple times for breakfast and have loved it both times. Look forward to coming here more. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly. Has that small town comfortable feel to it. Around the holidays they even gave the kids some coloring books to use at the table and keep.

Great omelets! I had their sausage omelet with cheese, and peppers, it definitely hit the spot. Their biscuits are completely homemade, you can tell by the taste of them. So as far as food goes, it’s way better than your average breakfast place, and cheap as well. Atmosphere is tacky to me, but other’s might like all the UGA football paraphernalia all over the restaurant. It is small, so large groups be warned as you might not all fit. Staff is extremely nice, and have that southern personality. I would definitely go back if in Canton.

Great little place on the 11 occasions I had the chance to go in. I admit I have only had the chance for Breakfast, but what they produce is a great non grease filled wholesome meal that you want to get out of Waffle House, but rarely get. Price was cheaper and the ladies here were delightful and have even got a free piece of the Coca Cola Cake one time(damn, now I understand drug dealers!!!), been hooked on them ever since. All the meals have been perfect and great get in and get out fast type of meal, will have to try the lunch during some off time one day.

Greatest little place ever for a reasonably priced breakfast. Food is very fresh and the people are very friendly. The only problem is it is very hard to get into since it’s usually packed and you have to be willing to wait for a table.

Small local diner frequented by locals and stays packed! Best burger in Canton, Ga. Owner/wait staff are super friendly, as are the patrons. Be aware: owner is a Georgia Football fan — if you wear tour Auburn shirt, prepare to be teased — in a friendly sort of way. Highly recommend you try this cozy diner.

Local dive, used by real locals, that makes good southern style good for great prices. Love that they serve it on compartment plates. Can’t get more local than this. Lunch menu is on copy paper hand updated. Like back in the 60s.

My husband and I had caught a red eye to Atlanta about 2weeks ago. We worked the day before and flew over night so by the time we landed we had been up for over 24hrs. we were also starving. We were driving to northern Georgia and didn’t want to go to out of our way for food. I turned to my handy dandy Unilocal app. and started searching. I came across Keithsburg Café and saw that it got relatively high stars. Since the café was in our direct path of travel we decided to go ahead and stop in. The exterior looked promising and once inside it looked even cozier. The owner must be a big sports fan because there was football memorabilia everywhere, but just of one team, don’t remember what team, I hate sports and don’t pay much attention to that stuff. We were told we could sit were we wanted so we choose a table by the wall. Our server quickly came over with menus and brought us coffee. My husband wasn’t sure what to order so he asked our server what she suggested. She told him that the Keithsburg Omelet was their best breakfast dish, and alas that’s what he went with. I ordered corned beef hash and one egg over medium. Our food was brought out in a timely fashion, but it didn’t look terribly appetizing. My corned beef hash was okay, the bottom half was bit burned and over cooked so I scrapped and ate the top portion only. The egg felt like it was more sunny side up than over medium, so I didn’t each much of it. My husband’s omelet was okay, not much to rave about either. He was told it was a huge, but really when it came out it looked average size at best. He practically ate it in four bites. This place was okay, it served its purpose but I can’t see us going back.

GREATSOUTHERNHOSPITALITY! On our way to Chattanooga, we decided to stop by this little café for breakfast. It is very easy to miss because it is so small and sits back a bit. It has seven tables and a counter where you can eat as well. Entering is like walking into a relative’s home during the holidays. You are warmly greeted and feel like you’re home. I like the fact that our waitress actually pulled up a chair and sat down to assist us with our order. I enjoyed having the owner stop by to just chit-chat. We did not recognize him as owner because we are so accustomed to random people just walking up to us and engaging us in conversation, that it is just no big deal. I finally asked him if he was a «regular» and he said that he was the owner and also pointed to our waitress,(his wife). They serve old school traditional breakfast. I ordered scrambled eggs, a biscuit and breakfast potatoes. The eggs were light and fluffy and cooked perfectly. The biscuit was huge and light as well. It reminded me of a dinner roll and was the perfect vehicle for my eggs. The potatoes were shredded hash browns and prepared with a crispy topping. I enjoyed it all and rest assured, if you have high blood pressure you don’t need to worry about sodium because they don’t add it to the food. This did not bother me because I realize that more diners and cafes are going this route in order to satisfy their primary customer base. Since these were such basic foods, the lack of salt did not adversely affect the dish because I just added it and all was well. I sampled my husband’s Keithsburg omelet,(with everything) and thought that it was very good. I also prefer my breakfast potatoes to be fresh cut with the skin on but these had a nice flavor so they get a pass. I will say that the pancakes were not made from scratch but I prefer my own,(from scratch), anyway. I simply wanted to sample these out of curiosity. We both enjoyed our breakfast and the good company and look forward to returning in the future. And yes, I got the t-shirt!

This place was awesome. I was just passing thru canton and thought I should get something to eat. You know me. Unilocal to the rescue. It’s off the beaten path. This hidden gem has breakfast and lunch. Cheap and good. What else could you ask for. Everything was fresh. Coffee it’s fresh ground. Biscuits are hugh. Service is great. Coy will make sure of that. He’s the owner. Say hi when your here. Recommend.

Absolutely the best food around!!! The staff is so friendly and treat you just like family. The owner always comes over to our table to play with our daughter(she’s 2). This makes it so much more personal than a traditional chain restaurant! The food is your traditional southern homemade tasting absolute goodness. It tastes like how my grandmom used to cook, very comforting! And you cannot beat their prices, seriously! My only complaint is all the UGA décor, but this is coming from a GA Tech fan ;).

Wow is this place busy and cramped. The overall vibe in here was no nonsense breakfast food served by some very hardworking women. I loved the coffee here because it was so fresh. They were grinding the beans right in front of me. The have a decent selection of breakfast items to choose from although everything was pretty greasy. The décor is all Georgia bulldog.

The Keithsburg Omelet! I was over this way this morning and was starving for breakfast. Upon entering, the place was packed! Every table was full and there was a line. Luckily, seats became available at the bar and everyone in line wanted a table. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a coffee, the Keithsburg Omelet and the bologna biscuit(because why not). I asked what was in the Keithsburg Omelet and the waitress replied, «everything». Boy, she wasn’t lying. The omelet had peppers, onions, sausage, bacon, ham, Philly cheese steak meat, and cheese. It was huge and delicious! It was everything I was looking for in breakfast. On to the Bologna biscuit. The biscuit was light and fluffy. The bologna, surprisingly delicious! I think I’ll stop by on my way to work one morning and get one with egg and cheese also. I was really pleasantly surprised by the service and food. I’ll definitely be back. PS. Minus one star for all the Georgia Bulldog paraphernalia. Auburn University for life. WAREAGLE!

I never even noticed this place was here. I saw it on Unilocal and decided to try it. It looks pretty rough from the outside but the inside is clean and homey. If it’s busy, expect to wait because it only seats about 30. The sausage gravy was a little bit runny, but the pancakes were probably the best I’ve had.
