History

Established in 2013.

This Commercial Gluten Free Bakery was started out of the owner’s home in Canton, CT. When she was diagnosed with a Gluten Intolerance in 2012, she started experimenting with her own Gluten Free recipes since there was no availability for fresh Gluten Free baked goods in her area. After many months of testing, she created «Can It Be… Gluten Free», providing fresh and delicious Gluten Free and Nut Free baked goods to help make the lives of others a little easier and tastier! She even built a separate, fully equipped and fully licensed commercial kitchen in her home, to be used exclusively for the business.

Meet the Business Owner

Stephanie W.

Business Owner

Stephanie is a mom of 3 young children. She started her career with ESPN, but after 7 years, decided to stay home and dedicate her time to raising her children. When she was forced to go on a Gluten Free diet she discovered an extreme need for fresh Gluten Free products in her local area. Having been an avid baker in the past, she naturally progressed into becoming a Gluten Free baker and launched «Can It Be… Gluten Free». Since she spent most of her time around other mom’s with children, so she was very aware of other food allergies, and decided to sell only Nut Free products as well. Instead of opening up a storefront and baking large quantities of the same products, Stephanie chose to build a separate kitchen in her home, so she would have the ability to customize every order to meet each customer’s needs. She also wanted to ensure that there wouldn’t be any cross contamination risks that exist in other establishments that use their kitchen for regular and Gluten Free baking.
