My review is more for the Juice Box Hockey program. I can’t write enough good about the program. First and foremost, it is entirely FREE!!! Even the skate rental is included. Hockey can be an expensive sport so it’s refreshing to be able to «try it before you buy it» in terms of equipment and lessons. It’s a full 24 week program aimed at getting kids excited about hockey. The kids are divided up into groups based on their skating abilities. Almost every week there is a group of young teens(I believe they are the hockey team from a nearby high school) that volunteer to assist the coaches. They are eager to help the kids, not just in technique but spend a lot of time actually picking the little guys up and getting them back on their feet. I give these young men 5STARS on their own. The Learn to Skate program is also great. There are ample instructors(and helpers) to the number of students. For the parents — there is standing room almost entirely around the rink, there are bleachers to sit and have a better view, just outside the ice area there are a few high top tables and chairs to watch the kids, and there are also a few large picnic type tables in the lobby where you could grab a coffee(or other snack including fries, hot dogs, pizza, etc) and watch television. There are multiple arcade style games that keep the kids occupied between sessions. Numerous large locker rooms and clean bathrooms.
