I shared the Carnitas Dinner with my husband and it was wonderful. The pork was tender and moist and perfectly browned. He had a margarita which was about the same mix at most of your franchise-type restaurants. I had sangria and it was good. The salsa was good and chips fresh and warm. The service was very good — we had very pleasant waitress/bartender and she worked the floor alone. It was not very busy but it was Tuesday after Memorial Day. We will definitely go again and I hope that business will pick up for this local small business. They do need a little help with the atmosphere, the old Italian atmosphere from the previous restaurant needs to go away. They have opened it up a little but they need to go further when they have the opportunity. I recommend you try them out!

Nothing has changed so far regarding the rear entrance… doom and gloom greets you at the door! We went in for dinner(possibly the first week or so that they had reopened). I ordered the Carnitas Dinner(roast pork) which I normally absolutely love in other area Mexican restaurants. As I was eating my pork… I kept thinking, this looks and tastes like something that I’ve had in the past(but not the roast pork that I was used to); and I wasn’t totally sure that it was fresh. I finally realized that it was more like«City Chicken». For those of you that don’t know, City Chicken is an inexpensive cut of pork… sometimes passed off as chicken kabobs, I believe. Not what I expected at all. The salsa wasn’t too bad, actually maybe the best part of the meal… but the chips were stale. My son had chile relleno, and it looked like someone sat on it. And the other dinner ordered was fish tacos… nothing to speak about here. I will not return here… there are many other far superior Mexican choices in the area.
