My father is credited with opening the first Mexican restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee, Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant, which has been in business for 25 years, and My extended family has Mexican establishments throughout the South, including three others that carry the El Patio name.

Was probably the worst meal ever that I had to pay for! Food all tasted burnt. Iced tea was cloudy and tasted like instant. Two hours later I had severe abdominal cramps and diarrhia. Plus the service was terrible.

Food was ok but the service we received wasn’t. Took forever to take drink orders, refills etc. We had come to find they were low staffed. It wasn’t a busy night though. We asked for the check twice and still had to go up to the counter to ring out. We could have easily walked out without paying and no one would have noticed. Luckily we aren’t that rude…

I have dined at nearly every Mexican restaurant in the Akron /​Canton area and this is among the best of them! Had the pleasure of experiencing a fresh batch of homemade hot salsa that the owner had made. It was phenomenal. Carnitas were great. Service by Sergio was great. $ 1 Margaritas went down waay too easy. I am one happy /​stuffed /​lightweight sober hombre! Will def be back for more!

I grew up in the south, feasting on Mexican foods. Finding El Patio was a wonderful delight! Best Mexican that I have found in many many years! Décor is great, the staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable and food was big portions and delicious! If your in the area, this is well worth checking out. Bring a coat. It’s freezing in there. But so worth it. I know I will l be back!

We recently heard about this restaurant opening and thought we would try. I ordered chicken tacos and they brought beef. My husband ordered a chicken burrito with rice and beans. They brought an extra plate of rice and beans for an up charge. We said we didn’t want and our waiter loudly
disagreed. Never got drink refills and took forever to get the bill. High priced Mexican food. Will not return.

Good quality Mexican food at a fair price. They bring you chips, salsa and a bean and cheese dip to start. The drinks are pretty good and the food tastes fresh. I’d recommend it.

Last night was our first time there. Had the Burrito Mexicano. Had great taste, but was little more than lukewarm. Good service. Better tasting food than our experiences with El Campesino and El Rincon and Margarita’s (Massillon)

Finally! A Mexican restaurant worthy of dining at. El Patio is a real standout from the mundane Mexican restaurants that are all over this area. The staff is very friendly with prompt and courteous service. The dining room, unlike so many other Mexican restaurants, is not over the top cheesy; instead it has a very clean and inviting feel to it.
As for the food? Excellent. The sauces and flavors of the dishes are excellent and stand out from among the other Mexican restaurants in the area. You can tell when they reach your table that they were not placed in a microwave and reheated after sitting in a fridge waiting to be ordered.
Since discovering this restaurant several weeks ago, I have been there for three more visits and not one of them was disappointing. I hope the word gets out about this place because it truly is so much better than anything else around here when it comes to Mexican food.

Being a native of the southwest, I’m used to a standard of mexican food from what I grew up eating. While visiting family here in Canton, we decided to go out and have fun. Fun is what we encountered, from the warm and friendly staff to the quality of the dish coming out, AWESOME! I’ve had both the Chorizo and Shrimp Quesadilla, love them and my wife tried cactus for the first time. If you’re open to different and exotic food, El Patio is the place, but if you want simple great fresh mexican, I recommend it.

My faith is restored in casual Mexican restaurant lore. After MANY sub par experiences with Mexican cuisine around town, finally a good meal! This newly opened (Nov 2014) Mexican grill was well renovated with a clean décor that isn’t as flashy as its counterparts. They have a nice bar area and I could see myself sluggin’ back a few margs at one of those bar stools. The staff was attentive and regularly visited our table.
As for the food I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked mine. I got something very different — coctel de camaron — sort of a ceviche shrimp dish in this sweet and lime sauce with tomatoes, onion, avocado and cilantro. And let me say… there were a TON of shrimp in this thing. It was served in the biggest marg glass I’ve ever seen. For $ 10 it was one of the best values I’ve had in a while. You will see me back with the fam at el patio.
