Mark was a God send. I woke up to find a tree in my yard perilously hanging over the fence I share with my neighbor. The only thing keeping it suspended was the branches of another tree. Mark came over within thirty minutes — sized up the problem and provided an estimate. After getting the right equipment he returned and took care of the issue without any damage to the fence. Mark and his team did an amazing job for our family! We had 2 massive (taller than our house) leland cypress trees where the roots were growing into our foundation and air conditioning unit (as well as uprooting our fence) and his team responded in a timely manner and removed them as well as the debris in a matter of a few hours! I thought this would be an all day job, just to cut them down, but Mark was efficient and professional. His team utilized safety equipment and left the yard as clean as it gets. He also ordered the stumps to be ground for us (and that was completed quickly too)!
Mark’s prices are reasonable and he’s very knowledgeable.

Mark was very informative and professional. They were very fast and efficient on getting down a huge maple tree that was threatening my water pipes. I highly recommend this company bc they’re honest and not just trying to make a quick buck. They truly want to make their customers happy and I was nothing less than happy with them, A+ in my book. I had lost one tree and had another that was sick so I put in a call to 770-​Arborist. After looking at my tree I was given a big picture analysis of what is going on and then given detailed information on what needs to be done to «heal» the tree and on what schedule. I was also given information on when and how the tree got sick and things that were pertinent to our situation that could make the tree sick again. I felt that this man was intelligent, courteous and a good decent human being. I’m grateful that I got this person to help me. I HIGHLY recommend.

Before last August I had not owned a home, so I had never had a need for an arborist. Since I now live on a wooded 1+ acre lot with my house surrounded by trees, a couple of which are not looking so hot, I found myself in need of just such an expert.
Since I live on the fringes of Canton, it’s not exactly a hotbed of arborists, so when I looked at Unilocal to see who/​what was nearby, my options were limited. I saw 770 Arborist (also the phone number when spelled out on a phone screen) and decided to try them.
I called and set up the appointment. The person who took my call was polite and professional, so I hoped the person coming out to inspect would mirror that. It’s been many years since I was a boy scout earning my botany and forestry merit badges, so I was ready to learn. Mark, the arborist, was phenomenal.
When I hire an expert, it’s for (no surprise) their expertise. What I got with Mark was not only great expertise, but a real passion for understanding and caring for those gentle giants that surround my home.
He showed me how to safely and healthily trim limbs to help my trees grow. He explained how adding only a small amount of soil overburden can harm a tree. He taught me how to harvest loam from other parts of my property to feed trees that aren’t getting sufficient nutrition. He showed me which trees are ‘valuable’ in the sense of property value and enjoyment. He showed me far more than I will take your time recounting here; suffice to say that I’m smarter about what’s around me and have a new appreciation for trees.
What did he NOT do? He did not try to upsell me. He explained which trees were unhealthy and why, how much or how little of a threat they present to my property, and which ones (only 3) that needed to be removed because of damage and sickness. And he was upfront about those trees probably being several years from being at the point at which they need to be removed. Again, no upsell of services or scare tactics about trees that are unhealthy. Just solid science and great advice.
The hour and a half he spent with me cost $ 149, and it was a great value.; he should probably raise his rate. And, equally importantly, if I decide to use them for tree trimming or removal services, that $ 149 will be credited against the removal costs. Totally awesome and I highly recommend Mark and 770 Arborist.
