Nice little hole in the wall joint with great food! The burgers were fresh and large, great steak fries. Just wish there was a higher meat to rice ratio for the teriyaki!

I had this place today and I’m in Love! This is definitely the spot! It’s really hidden so you wouldn’t really see it from the street unless you know of it but the food is amazing! They have these chicken and steak teriyaki bowls that are so good! The taste is great, portion is good but price is a little hefty at about $ 10 a plate. The burgers are just as great. You just try this place!

Nice tasting charbroiled chicken and beef and rice combo. I usually come here once a month and enjoy myself a chicken and beef rice combo. Good tasting food, will keep coming back. I usually always order for takeout. So I’m in and out in a jiffy. They have some delicious cooked jalapeños by the cashier. See you guys soon willingly.

Ever since I moved to Canoga Park my family and I have been coming here. That was about 15 years ago, give or take. Their food is great. If I order for myself, I have to order an extra plate for whoever gets home when I’m eating lol they’re really nice too and the owner I haven’t seen him too often now but he used to be there all the time and he’s really nice.

Pleasantly surprised at our find. We really underestimated the food quality and certainly got $ 19 worth of steak and chicken teriyaki plates. We will visit again.

Teriyaki is so yummy here. The chicken and beef are cooked just right. The rice is fluffy and perfect. The portions are generous for the price. Just make sure you bring cash as this is all they except. No Apple Pay here. The only bad thing other than the cash only, is the location. It is not in the greatest area! So don’t look for valet service. If you you run into a valet say goodbye to your car!

I ordered the #4 I wish I would’ve taken a picture but this place is a great hidden gem. The portions are big so it fills you up. Great all around flavors.

Nothing special. My husband got a chicken and beef bowl. I got a veggie burger — veggies on a white bun. Even the fries were nothing special.

We were starving and wanted something relatively quick without resorting to fast food. Unilocaled around the neighborhood and found this hole in the wall. Great place for teriyaki bowls! Decently price and so much food. We ordered the chicken combo and the beef/chicken combo. Total price was $ 19.50. Not bad considering we had leftovers. Note: this place has brown rice… For those who prefer it! They take credit card here btw. Ambience: casual hole in the wall with ample seating. Service: Best part is the staff! Amazingly nice and helpful! Overall: I’ll be coming back here, fo sho.

I’ve gone to this place for years, and I should of reviewed them along time ago. The meat is always cooked perfectly. Steamed rice is hard to mess up so it is always on point as well! I prefer this over yoshinoya and anything similar. I’ve seen some reviews about not being able to pay with card but I recently paid with a debit card. The restaurant it self isn’t the best to sit down and eat but I always take it to-go so it doesn’t bother me too much but I can see that being a negative.

This place was quite the surprise! I have lived in the West Valley almost my entire life, so it’s always fun to find hidden hole-in-the-wall places like this. I was starving around lunch time on a Sunday afternoon and wanted something local, cheap, and relatively healthy. I searched on Unilocal and found this spot in a strip mall on Saticoy right before Canoga. I drove over and almost missed it because the sign is a little dated… well the whole place is a little dated. It really is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but the welcoming woman at the register was really nice so I quickly pushed away any hesitation and ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl. I don’t normally like teriyaki but the pictures on Unilocal looked really good so I ordered a small bowl and the cook started grilling the chicken as I ordered it. The bowl was SO good! A bed of steamed rice, a generous amount of teriyaki chicken, and topped with green onions and sesame seeds. It was filling and fresh – just what I was looking for! The place doesn’t look like much but the food was great and I’ll definitely be back!

Right off the bat, it’s CASHONLY. Imagine a taco truck made Yoshinoya dishes. That’s what the dishes are like. They’re a little pricier than Yoshi, but they taste better too. I got the #4 beef and chicken combo but with no rice. You also have the option of white or brown rice. The dishes are made to order but the wait isn’t too bad. They give you a lot of meat, which should be enough to satisfy my protein cravings. It’s a great hole-in-the-wall in a very unassuming strip mall. A great find for decent food.

I really wanted to like this place. Really. You know when you go to Costco and most every item averages about $ 20? Well, Bowl & Burger is the same way, except everything is about $ 10(if you should desire a drink with your ball of rice). Here’s my beef. There wasn’t much of it, in my bowl. This place was listed on one of the many places to eat in the valley — for cheap! Well a rice bowl for ten bucks is not a deal to me. Yes, I could steam ½ pound of rice at home and top it with charred steak strips. But that’s wouldn’t be any fun would it? We went out for the experience and we got one. So lesson learned. I like hole-in-the-wall type places too but this had nothing desirable about it. Muggy inside(because the heat from the grills) and overall uncomfortable. Why am I so miffed? It wasn’t the pleasant service. It wasn’t that the food was not passable. It wasn’t the half pound of rice either. It was because it was listed as cheap eats in the valley. We paid approximately $ 60 for 5 people. Granted, I know that is reasonable in some cases. But not for Yoshinoya style food and dining. My hope is that the owner reads this and takes some of it into consideration. Perhaps, drop some of the prices to match more closely. Stop advertising the food as «cheap». Because really, how much does rice cost? And that was more than three quarters of my meal. Granted we did not try any burgers but at this rate, I would not go back.

Simple, delicious food. I ordered their beef and chicken teriyaki, and it’s gotta be one of the best I’ve ever head. The meat is tender and cooked just right, the teriyaki sauce is on point, and the rice is was perfect too. They have sriracha, spicy yellow peppers, and fried jalepenos… What more could you ask for?

CASHONLY!!! Watch your steps before approaching the front door and leaving. There is a tiny step you can’t see while entering or leaving. I tripped both times. I been working in the canoga park area for almost 8 years now, and this place is literally across the street from where I work. I Unilocal a place to eat this afternoon and this place popped up. It’s behind a building and can’t be seen. It located next to the liquor store. The service was very exceptional and welcoming! The cashier was very friendly and recommended several items to try. I notice he hand sanitize his hands after taking my money to help the cook in the kitchen, with whatever he needed. The cook was nice, too. The food was great and the portions were huge! The chicken teriyaki was grilled and made with great ingredients. The rice was a bit dry? But. I won’t complain because overall the service and food was good. I need to return to try there other food items. But, they need to start accepting credit cards. They probably would get more business.
