Locust Tree Bed and Breakfast

Super cute spot. Came here on Valentine’s weekend with a group of friends and we were greeted with the warmest welcome. Very tiny town located about 25 minutes from Mohawk Mountain. They serve breakfast from 7:30 — 9:30 the morning after your stay, and will gladly provide recommendations for what to do in town (which is essentially, not very much). Nice little getaway– clean room, fresh sheets, no holes, no bugs.

This is the first time I stayed at a B&B and was only able to stay one evening. Fortunately, it was in the middle of the week and was very quiet as all of the kids had gone back to school and it was just me and maybe 1 or 2 other guests… so the shared bath was like a private bathroom. The owners take pride in upkeep and the place is situated where there are trees on one side and meadows on the other. They have a wrap around deck (two levels) with chairs and you can just hang out there at anytime of the day or evening… scenic and peaceful. I’m a little picky about spiders and cobwebs in the room and I could detect a little but the place is in the middle of their (spiders, gnats, mosquitos) habitat. Linens are of high quality and you are given plenty of towels. Baths have the usual soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, Kleenex, but no lotion. Cooked to order breakfast will surely get your day started right. Will stay here again if I am ever in the area. This is a very nice area of CT.
