I was visiting my son and his family in Willow Glen. I ate breakfast here while staying in motel in Campbell, I had the most amazing smores pancakes! I hope you have them again when we come to town for my grandson’s christening in February. My granddaughter is also coming and I promised her these amazing pancakes. Food, service, all wonderful vacation experience. Looking forward to next visit. We are from LI, NY.

Yum, best gluten free strawberry waffles! I love that I can go their and actually have a normal breakfast despite my food allergies. My husband loves their omelettes and general breakfast selection. They are always consistently good. The are always super busy on the weekends so we tend to order and pick up instead of wait the line… Just a tip!

I could never believe that the service level has become this bad. So disappointed. Waited for 40 – 50 min as usual, finally got a table at booth area. Not best for putting a high chair, so then we waited for another couple minutes for a regular table for 4. We probably left the menu on the original table, after we moved our stuff to the new table, we asked for the menu again, and was given with really pissed attitude«hey you guys should have brought the menus with you when moving to another table». That was the beginning of the entire customer service nightmare. I do not want to describe too much about our personal bad feelings, but a few things need to be aware — 1. dirty utensils — we changed 2 – 3 times for dirty plate(with ketchup mark), forks and spoons. It even made us feel«guilty» after we called the waiter/waitress so many times. The waiter/waitress told us the plate brought to us was visually checked again before handing to us. But truth is truth, dirty is dirty. 2. Bad service When my omelet with fries was served, 30% the fries on the plate slipped out from the plate to the table. He just shrugged his shoulder when being asked is there’s anything he could do on this. Again, we don’t want to eat the fries on the dirty table. 3. Inaccurate order We ordered Steak, medium well. The food in front of us is a rubbery, bloody, medium-rare beef. Although the cashier said she will take out the item from our check, but end up only took out the«steak» part — which means, we still paid for a Basic-2-egg breakfast item.(Well that’s fair, but normally a restaurant with sense of customer service would take entire item off from the check, not just the beef piece which was not cooked right.) Well, we will go Aqui 2 min walk away from it for brunch next time.

Service was good. Food was decent; I ordered the corned beef hash and onion skillet with eggs over easy and toast. The eggs were done to spec and the toast was buttered. The restaurant serves jam in containers similar to the condiment jar for hot sauce at Chinese restaurants, but he strawberry jam was good nonetheless. Compared to my friends’ crepes, my dish looked small. If I try this place again, I’ll stick with the pancakes.

Stacks was good. I have to say… they have the best turkey bacon I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the banana coconut pancakes, although they were very sweet and much too large a portion, even with the half-stack. My fiancé really enjoyed the bagel and my mom liked the blueberry waffle. I can’t say I liked it enough to return. It was a good experience and I appreciated that we were seated after only a short wait, on Christmas eve no less. Decent prices and easy parking in the lot across the street.

Definitely(and disappointingly) one of those typical greasy breakfast joints — decent food with slightly better service. SERVICE: Contrary to what others have said, I felt that that the service was fine. Our waitress checked on my table twice to make sure we had everything we needed. None of the servers are particularly friendly or polite, but they’re efficient and attentive. ORDER: Careful what you order — for some dishes, Stacks serves a noticeably smaller portion but at the same price as other breakfast joints. I ordered the veggie egg white omelet with fruit instead of a bagel and after finishing wasn’t full-to-bursting but just satisfied. The omelets at joints like San Jose Café and Bill of Fare are definitely much more satisfying. The food is VERYOILY. :(My friend ordered one of the Breakfast Basics and his plate(and food) was literally shining from how much oil was on it. If anything, come here to order their pancakes! I tried my friend’s Lumberjack pancakes(blueberries + bananas + raisin-walnut + wheat germ) and they were quite yummy + filling. The walnuts added a nice crunch to the pancakes. If you’re intent on visiting Stacks, stick to ordering what their name describes: pancakes.

This is my go-to breakfast joint in the Los Gatos/Campbell/San Jose area. Food is awesome, fresh ingredients, service is great, and food comes out quickly. They have a huge menu, and usually don’t have any issues customizing dishes. Don’t bother going elsewhere… this is the spot.

Eggs Benedict wasn’t a good choice. Maybe I should have ordered pancakes at a place called Stacks. The eggs were a bit overcooked(solid inside) and the muffin was burned on the edges. The sauce was decent, and they gave a good serving of ham though. The potatoes were not worth eating. They are served shredded, and they were cold with no flavor to them. They also serve it in a really awkward bowl with a plate where you can’t easily cut the Benedict or eat the potatoes(not that you would want to). Not a good meal and certainly not worth $ 14, and I don’t intend to return here.

Favorite breakfast spot in the South Bay! Busy on weekends, but they have grass fed beef, organic options and an entire gluten free menu which all accommodates my dietary needs. 10 stars!

The service, atmosphere, and food were all pretty good. They seated me and my friend in a booth for six people because there were no other seats available! I got the Crab Crêpe(pretty good-real crab meat, a lot of avocado) BUT like everything else, on the pricy side. Finding parking is a bit challenging

Service was great! We got seated rather quickly — I had heard many a good thing about Stacks, so I was excited to come brunch here. The fiancé had a chicken dijon sandwich which he absolutely loved, and I ordered the chilaquiles — which is a favorite breakfast dish of mine, however it left much to be desired! I will definitely come back and check this place out and hopefully my next food order will change my mind!

First time here at Stacks. The food is ordinary and the price definitely does not justify it; quite expensive for what you get – slices of ham with 2 poached eggs, sprinkled with spinach, hollandaise sauce, side of potatoes, and a bit of fruit for $ 14??? … Waiter took the wrong order and in the bill was around $ 2.50 for coffee that I didn’t order, which was explained to the cashier. She thoroughly explained that to the manager right in front of me, and he asks me, «you didn’t order the coffee?” – I told him, «no I didn’t” – he responds in an annoyed/rude tone, «you want me to take it off the receipt?»… «Uhhh… Yes I do»(thinking in my head: «of course, you moron»). Pricey, ordinary food + rude, idiotic manager. Not worth it.

After years of hitting the Campbell Farmer’s Market I finally found myself at Stacks on a Sunday. I found the waitstaff to be very tolerant of our indecisiveness, and the fact that we crammed 7 people into a booth. Haha. Craving protein I went with the teriyaki steak and eggs. Teriyaki was interesting for brunch. In fact I noticed several interesting items on their menu, including hard-shell breakfast tacos. Because I have wanted to come here for so long it’s fair to assume that my expectations were high(always a line of folks outside stacks on the weekend). I didn’t love the food but I’ll certainly go back, hopefully I’ll try a more traditional breakfast item and update my review.

I’ve wanted to come here for quite some time and I finally made it for lunch today. We arrived about 12:15, we were politely greeted and asked if wanted to sit inside or outside. I don’t really like sidewalk seating where cars and trucks roar by and smell up your meal. Needless to say we sat inside. Someone must have called in sick today because the service was rather slow. I had the Avocado burger and it was great and messy good, cooked just right. I was very happy with it. They also give you a small cup of fruit. However the fries were not very warm. They seemed like they may have sat for a while while they waited for the other meals to be ready at our table. Our waiter was polite but seemed kind of harried which is why I thought they may have been short handed today. So lunch was good, I’ll have to try breakfast another time. The room temperature fries brought this from a 4 down to a 3 star.

This review is based on their lunch menu as I have yet to try the meals they offer for breakfast. I came here on a Friday afternoon and was seated immediately. My first impression of the restaurant is that it is tiny but comfortable. They have outside seating available as well as tables, booths and counter seats. I ordered the honey Dijon chicken sandwich with fries. The plate that was brought out to me included this, a cup of fruit and a salad. First, the portions are huge so keep that in mind if you are looking for a light meal. On the plus side, I always love being able to make two meals out of one. The sandwich itself was enjoyable after I picked out the excessive amount of raw purple onion on the top. The honey mustard dripping off the sides made it pretty hard to eat but I would say that it’s worth the struggle. I’m not a huge fan of the French fries. They are really thin, granted they take up half the plate, but I would rather have less, thicker cut fries. The fruit was fresh and tasty. I didn’t really care for the salad either since it was a little bitter. The overall experience I had here was enjoyable minus the fact that while I was eating a fly was badgering me and landed on a piece of my fruit. Thankfully I managed to get rid of it before it could land on anything else but I’m confused as to how it got into the restaurant in the first place. There were no open doors or windows to my knowledge, so the bug issue should be monitored more carefully by the employees. I think the lunch menu is decent but nothing special. I would love to come back and try their breakfast menu and will be sure to update my review when I do so.

Food here is great, but I suggest not to get your omelettes«frittata» style. Any omelette can be made frittata style and for the same price. The difference between the two is a frittata is basically an open omelette, not rolled up or folded. It didn’t seem like a big difference but it made a worlds difference. Being cooked in this flat way causes the omelette to be cooked more thoroughly which made it very, very dry. We had the crab omelette and the bacon/avocado omelette, both frittata style. On previous visits these have been extremely good as omelettes, but when we had it today, we learned to not do that again LOL. Other than those frittatas, we also got the banana coconut macadamia pancakes and they were amazing! The blend of banana, coconut, and macadamia nuts were delicious, only wish there was way more banana in it since it was primarily coconutty. Short stacks are enough for two people because the pancakes are large! Service here is friendly, but the parking is bad. Downtown Campbell gets really packed and the only reason we had no problems was because we came at 7am on a Tuesday when no one was awake lol… Will definitely be coming back for those crab and bacon/avocado omelettes and to try another kind of pancake! Also their list of sandwiches sound intriguing as well.

Sunday was my second time coming here and I sat outside this time. The first time I came here I got the Oreo pancakes and they were good, this time around… it was sad. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and the eggs Benedict part was good. I really enjoyed that, but the potatoes weren’t warm. They were @ the end of lukewarm to cold. The fruits were fruits. On top of that I was the last one to get my food out of four people and we had to ask our server to check on my food. I think it was just sitting there, forgotten about. The eggs Benedict part was barly warm too. Also I had half of my friends bagel and it was hard and just not worth eating. I love bagels too. Our server was really nice, but just the food is what got me. I was told this place is like really good too. It was when I first went, and I don’t know what happend now. Maybe it was a different cook this time. Would I go again? Maybe in a couple months, but right now I’m staying away.

My friend and I came here on a weekday around 10am for breakfast, and we were immediately seated(as long as both of us were present). The food came out pretty quickly too, and it’s always nice when the server brings out the coffee within 10 seconds of us sitting down! I ordered the Strawberry White Chocolate Pancake and my friend and I split some Chicken Apple Sausage with egg, potatoes and fruit. The flavors on the pancake were right on point, sweet enough and the pancakes were cooked perfectly to my liking. Having a side of sausage, egg, potatoes and fruit was a nice combination to the pancakes. Wish they offered combination platters though, as ordering that extra side drove up the costs a bit. Still, this is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Campbell. Very happy with the service, efficiency, and food quality. Thanks Stacks!

I don’t frequent breakfast places much but when I do, I go with Stacks in Campbell. Free coffee while you’re waiting for a table inside their cozy dining room or outside to enjoy the sunshine. My favorite mean is the crab omelette with avocado, tomatoes and cheese and a side of skillet hash.

The roommate and I were running errands in SJ when I decided we should have brunch. He picked Stacks since it was close to where we were. July 2013 *Pomegranate mimosa($ 7) light on the pomegranate *Corn beef and hash($ 11.90) with wheat toast instead of a bagel *Pesto chicken omelette($ 12.50) with wheat toast instead of a bagel *Side of bacon($ 5.50) What’s brunch without a little drink?! The pomegranate added a little fruitiness to the sparkling wine. I said light on the juice as I don’t like too much juice in my mimosas. The pesto chicken omelette was delicious! I’d never had pesto sauce on an omelette before. I love basil, so this was great! The roommate enjoyed his corned beef hash. And what’s not to love about a side of bacon?! There seems to always be a wait here. Sometimes it’s 30 mins, sometimes an hour. The day we went, it wasn’t that bad. About 25 mins. They seemed to go through their wait list fast. Service was standard and friendly. Our server would deliver our dishes and check back afterwards. My only gripe is sometimes, the condiments and booths are a little grimy. Other than that, a solid breakfast spot!

Solides amerikanisches Essen in netter Diner-Atmosphäre. Große Portionen, nicht zu teuer. Die Bedienung war mir zu zurückhaltend. Das ist ein Insider in der Gegend!
