My Mercedes was rear ended, and Ryan and his team did an awesome job of getting it back into perfect condition. I also had a bunch of scrape marks on my wheels repaired while it was there, and they now look brand new. I could not be happier, and I am super picky about the details. They do work of the highest quality and are very easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

I have 2000 Corvette that got hit twice in the space of a month. I got the referral to Ryan at Nor Cal from my Corvette mechanic. I got quotes from him and the place my insurance company recommended. Honestly it would have been easier to go with the insurance referral but I didn’t like that they were going to do a patch job. This car is my baby and I wanted it done right. Ryan went through the car and pointed out little things I couldn’t even see. He is meticulous and that is what you want in a body shop!
Ryan said he thought it would be better to replace both panels that got hit. It took a little longer because Ryan went through the pain of negotiations with my insurance company. In the end, it didn’t cost me any more and what I got back was a brand new car! They also did me he courtesy of detailing the inside and outside. It is just beautiful!
I found Ryan flexible and easy to work with. I am sooo happy with the results. I highly recommend his shop and would definitely use him again for body work.

Another fantastic job by Ryan and the team at Nor Cal Auto Works. I called to get a recommendation for a shop to do some maintenance on my 69 Barracuda. When I told Ryan I needed someone to change my engine mounts he said «We can do that for you no problem» Brought the car in, dropped it off, could have picked up that afternoon but opted to get it the next morning. Came in next morning. Car is done, washed, vacuumed and running like a top. All for less then what my regular mechanic was going to charge me and without all his drama.
Ryanm also had his guy Carlos try and rub a scratch out on our 2013 Ford Fusion. The scratch looks much less noticeable but will still need paint. I won’t take my car anywhere else to get that work done I assure you.

I went to this shop because of the good reviews. The hand grip above the passenger door in my car came loose and I thought the part was stripped. Ryan ordered a part and charged my card $ 85.00. A few days later he called to say he received the wrong part and could I send him a picture of the part in the car. While taking the picture I realized it was not damaged and I was able to secure the handle. I let Ryan know that I did not need the repair so he said to come by and he would give me check as he was unable to issue a credit to my card. I went by the shop on two occasions but he was not there. I called him and asked if he would mail a check. He replied that he wouldn’t do that because he was already out 3% for processing the charge and would be out the cost of a stamp.
Today I called ahead and made sure he was there. He wrote me a refund check less the 3%. I can not comment of the quality of the work but the customer service SUCKS. I will never go back to that shop and if this review keeps just one person from using this shop, he is out far more than the $ 2.55 he kept from me.

I went in there to get an estimate. Didn’t want to give one unless he was certain they would get the job. Not helpful and didn’t want to take time to explain anything. Not good for business.

If you want great service thats honest and wont rip you off got to these guys! you really cant find a honest solid high quality shop like this. Ryan, the owner will go out of his way and spend his time to personally go over every detail with you before and after your car is fixed.
Ryan takes pride in his shop and in his employess. the work always comes out with more than solid results!
I have used Nor Cal Auto for many repairs with my Fleet of company vehicles and we are so happy we wont be going anywhere else!

This shop is fantastic. I wish I could rate them higher than five stars. Summary: fixed my messed up car in two working days, made the whole car better than when I got it, did a lot more work than they originally estimated, charged me exactly the estimate.
The long story:
I just moved to the Santa Cruz mountains from San Francisco. I’ve lived my whole life on bicycles and public transit, but I needed something to get me around in the mountains and south bay, so I bought my first car. A fun, sporty, totally impractical car. Then I took it out driving on the mountain roads. I had a great time, it’s fun as hell. Also, when it loses control, it REALLY LOSES CONTROL. So, I ran it into a tree. Yay.
I had really messed up the left rear wheel well, but after a tow truck winched it back onto the road, it ran fine and limped home.
The next day, I looked around on Unilocal for some body shops or mechanics, and called a highly reviewed mechanic to see what I should do. They mentioned that if it was running okay (it was) then I should take it to a body shop first, since they wouldn’t be able to do anything to repair suspension or such until the body was out of the way. I asked their recommendation, and they referred me to Nor Cal Auto Works.
This place is wonderful. I brought my car in on a Thursday after a brief phone call, and was met by that beautiful solvent smell of model airplane glue. Their shop is full of classic cars in various states of disassembly, all beautiful and getting more beautiful. While I was standing around, I overheard a phone conversation with someone who was bringing in their classic, rare Bentley for some work.
The owner, Ryan, met me and looked at my car and gave me an estimate for checking the alignment, then straightening and cleaning up the panels. I was skeptical of whether or not it would be possible to straighten the existing panels (which were metal), and I asked to confirm that it wouldn’t be better to just replace the panels. Ryan said that they could replace them if I wanted to, but it would be a lot more expensive, and that they should be able to straighten them no problem.
I’ve since looked around and got estimates from other shops after the fact, and it was a great deal. I left the car there and got a signed estimate, and went on my merry way.
Just a few hours later I got a call from Ryan letting me know that they’d tested its alignment and that everything was okay with the wheel and suspension, so they were going to start working on the body. Great, and quick!
Friday passed. Saturday too, and happily Sunday. Monday morning I got a call from Ryan saying «it’s all done, come by whenever you like to pick it up!» Awesome! Crashed to all better in 2 weekdays!
When I arrived to pick up my car, it was better than before I crashed it. The paneling was perfect, the whole car gleamed — not a speck of the roadside mud was left, and the interior had been vacuumed and polished. They even repaired all the other random scratches on the doors that weren’t from the crash, and weren’t even near the damage. Ryan came out to walk around the car with me, and explained that they had started straightening the panels, but decided that it just wasn’t going to look all that great, so they had gone ahead and replaced the panels outright. I was nervous to hear that, since when I brought the car to the shop Ryan had said that replacing the panels would be a lot more expensive, but they charged me exactly what they had estimated! Wonderful!
To top that off, the paint they applied to the new body panel was better finished than the paint on the rest of the car. Take that, manufacturer!
A+++, will buy from again.

I took my nephews car here after he was rear ended based on a friends referral, Boy am I sorry I did. Ryan the owner was extremely difficult to work with and took over a month to fix the car. He blamed my insurance for the delay, but when I confronted my Insurance they provided me a detailed list of communication with Ryan, which completely contradicted what he was telling me. I even had my insurance company talk directly with him and they stated that their timeline and his lined up perfectly, leading me to the conclusion that Ryan was lying and basically sat on the car for 3 weeks before beginning work on it. I Finally got the car back and it looked ok, but to make matters worse Ryan actually called me up and began cursing me out and threatening me because he said I owed him $ 250 after the fact. I even had to file a police report to make sure he didn’t follow thru with his threats. Needless to say I do not recommend sending anyone near this shop after what I encountered…

This is the one stop shop for body work and finish, the shop is super clean and the environment is top notch! I took in my Audi A6 because i have custom mufflers and Ryan the owner explained to me what needs to be done, he also fixed up my bumpers and other flaws as well, for body work this shop truly has what it takes to get it done right. Did i mention the environment?! Neo Geo Arcade and Vending Machines! The lounge area is great and fun, i almost didnt even want to leave. Anyhow I recommend this shop to all out there looking for body work and custom work done on classic cars and hot rods because I saw a lot of Caddy’s, Bentley’s and other great cars.
