Really bummed out. $ 100 for a single door ding and the result looks worse than before. The paint was cracked but now it looks dark, dimpled and cracked, with a small chip in it. You can see glue streaks outside the dent which look dark in sunlight. The whole line looks like someone took a felt pen and drew a line. Geez.
For $ 100 I expected a better outcome for such a minimal amount of work. They didn’t even bother to fill it in with paint. They did’t offer any options. If a better outcome wasn’t possible, there needs to be much more precise expectation setting before doing the work.

Second time we’ve been here. We had a damaged rear fender: they identified the needed part, got it the same day from Toyota and installed it, total $ 150 parts and labor! Swift, friendly, honest and fairly priced. Couldn’t ask for a better service.

Alec did a good job repairing my Civic. He was a reasonable man, as seen in: 1) showing me the damaged parts which he said could not be repaired and must be replaced by the original Honda components (hence a higher repair charge); compensating me for a rental car for four days due to a delay in completing the repair work.
Alec has a lovely family, a beautiful wife and two smart teenagers. The nice characters of the children are indicative of the nicety of the parents.

I stopped in step see Joe, he always gives me his full attention and makes me feel I’m the only customer. His work ethic is like no other. He know sheet metal and gets out everything I bring to him. Before I would stress and take to body shop. Ever since I found Joe back in 2008 I have never went anywhere else than Joe at Dings and dents. He is simply a Miracle worker and by far the best guy out there for dents.

«Wow…awesome work!»…is what leaped out of my mouth when I saw the results of Joe’s dent removal work.
I have a 2016 VW GTI that had a grand total of 323 miles (yes, less than 500 miles) when a large metal object that was on a shelf in my garage fell on it. It impacted the A-​pillar above the passenger’s door and left a deep 2″ crease dent. The dent was hideous & obvious. Everyone who looked at my car said «Hey man, do you know you have a bad dent here?» It was right at eye level, when approaching the passenger side door. Ugh.
The metal object also left a small paint chip at the lower end of the dent, and several other deep scratches in the pain along the hood and right fender :-(
The first dent on a new car is always tough. But at least this time I have only myself to blame since I built the metal object many years ago, I kept the metal object as memorabilia of a past career, I put it on the shelf, and I parked my car in that spot. I can also blame gravity, but as a constant and entirely predictable force of nature… not much point in that.
I talked to several auto body places, and they said that since paint scratches were deep, the only way to make them go away for good was to repaint the panels fully. They said blend painting would only look OK for a few years. They also said that since the dent is on the A-​pillar which is a solid piece of metal that goes all the way to the back and is also the rear quarter panels… that they would have to fill the dent before repainting, which will also show after several years.
So I decided to pursue the Paint-​less Dent Repair (PDR) approach. I took pictures and sent them to the top 2 highest rated PDR guys in the South Bay (each with over 350 reviews) and both said that they could not get the dent out because it was on the A-​pillar which is the most structurally solid spot on the car. Both actually said «that dent will be there for the life of your car». They also said they could not fix the paint scratches. I was bummed.
Then, upon recommendation from another shop that I trust (California Auto Tinting & Polishing), I took my car by Dents & Dings. Alex there said they could get it out, but he conservatively said that if I looked hard I would probably still be able to see the dent. Regarding the paint scratches, he advised me to go the touch-​up route vs. blend painting. He quoted me a very reasonable price, and even suggested to save money I could do the touch up painting myself (to which I said I’d rather pay someone who does this every day than try touch-​up painting myself).
I had resigned myself to accepting a situation where I had the dent and paint scratches fixed up and less obvious, but still noticeable if you knew where to look. I figured if I could get the dent to be not so darn obvious, I’d be able to live with it.
So I took the plunge and had Dents & Dings do the work. They would fix the dent, and do the paint touch-​up work.
There was a small communication error with the appointment. They were expecting me to pick up the touch-​up paint from the dealer beforehand. This wasn’t clear to me, so I arrived at my appointment without the touch-​up paint. Alex called the dealer, and the paint takes 10 days on order, so I’ll have to bring my car back for the paint work. But Joe was already scheduled to work on the dent, so I had them proceed with the dent work.
They said they’d need the car 3 hours, so I dropped it off and left it. By 2 hours I called and it was done.
As I walked up to their office to pick it up, Joe (who I had not met before) was in the office and said «let’s go look at it». We walked around the corner, and as I approached the car I was staring at the A-​pillar with a bit of anxiety about how it would come out. I was envisioning some nasty wrinkled metal, or flaked off paint. As I walked closer and closer, I couldn’t see the spot. Then Joe pointed at it, and said «I did my best, and I think it came out ok». I was staring at the spot and I swear I thought he was pointing to the wrong spot. Then I looked very closely and I saw the paint chip that was on the dent (it was still there because they didn’t do the touch-​up yet).
«Wow…awesome work!» busted out of my mouth… so loud that the guy using the power grinder in the shop across probably heard me.
I couldn’t believe it. You absolutely can’t tell a dent was ever there. When I took it home, I showed it to my wife, and her and I debated for a few minutes about where the dent was. I knew the paint chip was my marker, so I was able to show her. Ha! That’s a very good thing.
Not only is the dent not obvious (which was my hope), but right now it only looks like a spot with a little paint chip. Paint chips can be touched up… so I’m SUPER PLEASED with this result.
Admittedly, I’ve been out to my garage about a ½ dozen times since, just to marvel at the spot where the dent was.
I’ll be back for sure, and I’m sending all of my friends here.

This is the second time I have brought a car to Dings and Dents; the first time was several years ago, with a different vehicle. I brought my new (er) car to D&D for an estimate, and then brought it to to another highly-​rated shop for a comparison. Joe’s estimate (at D&D) was just a hair over HALF of the other business’s. I knew the quality of work that D&D had provided the last time I needed body work, and so it was a no-​brainer.
What I’m happy about, also, is the fact that by taking D&D’s bid, I am supporting a small family business. Alejandra (Joe’s wife) takes care of front-​office matters; she’s charming and exceedingly helpful.
Now that I have picked up my car, I am once again amazed at the quality of Joe’s work. He is a true artist. The car looks NEW (it’s only a little over a year old). The paint is perfectly matched; and where there was an unsightly scrape, there is absolutely no evidence.
I strongly recommend D&D. If you need a rental, they will even facilitate a pick-​up and a discount with a nearby Enterprise counter.

Story time: I was driving down S. Almaden and pass Union Market Beer & Wine when a group of hooligans standing outside decide to throw something at the car… YEP. Thanks douchebags. You’re a great bunch there. Seriously, Mr. Rogers himself would have been disappointed in the people you’ve become… But anyway.
I ended up with three dents (and some serious paint damage) to the passenger side door. I took it to Joe, and he masterfully removed the dents in under 30 minutes. Seriously, the speed at which he removed them was insane! He then gave me some tips on applying touch up. All the while, we chit-​chatted about cars in general.
The estimate I was given? He charged me less! WHAT?! Total PDR Rock Star. Seriously, if you have a ding or dent, just go!
TL;DR? New car. New dent. Thankfully, Joe is there!

We brought a Mercedes in and they did a fantastic job! They made this huge dent look like brand new. The service was honest and right on. It’s hard to find a place like this.

Would give Joe 6 stars if I could!
Got in touch over email and was asked to come in to get an estimate.
Met Joe which looked at the dent and suggested several options. I chose the one that made sense and was scheduled to come in for a fix.
I brought the car in a few days later and left the car for a few hours for Joe to work his magic.
Joe was able to improve the situation but unfortunately not completely fix it. Although I wanted to pay for his time, he refused to take any payment saying he was not able to get the result he expected.
Going forward, Joe would be my go to person for such cases in the future. I do hope I won’t need his help, but if I do — Joe’s my guy.
It’s hard to find such talented and honest people these days. Wish we had more people like Joe.

Went to body shop and they recommended just having the corner pushed out and provided me the card to «Ding and Dents». So I called, got voicemail and left message. Over a day went by with no reply, ok it happens. Then called and was asked to take photo and upload on web-​site. That was fine, so I uploaded (easier then driving by), another full day goes by with no call back, so I call to confirm they got the photo. Lady said oh ya we got it and we can’t push the dent out, it will require painting and body. So she was waiting on another tech to get back with cost on that work. Body shops normally can look and provide ball park cost usually pretty quick. Just found communication from the shop to be a bit slow. Doesn’t take much to shoot a quick e-​mail with update.
Can’t comment on the work, but I’ve heard they do quality dent work. This rating is based on communication from someone trying to have a service provided.

These guys are amazing! They got a dent out of my truck door over the handle in a place that other folks told me could not be done! The owner has actually trained most of the dent people in the South Bay. He is amazing!

New car got rear-​ended and bumper cover sustained impressions and paint chips.
Got quote from dealer endorsed repair shop, we said OK to go ahead and order the part as long as they know exactly what bumper to order (not an ordinary trim plus needs provision for park distance sensors). Megabucks aside, they never called me back even though we tried to contact them multiple times.
A friend of ours referred us to Dings and Dents. Originally we were reluctant to have the bumper repaired as we weren’t sure how anyone could smooth out the indentations as they are pretty sharp. Emailed them the photos and got a very reasonable quote and a 2 – 3 day estimate from Alejandra. I brought the car in and was introduced to Alex.
I asked if they could also fix a nasty curb rash on the front wheel and was pleased to hear they do.
2 days later I got my car back in as new condition. Color matching was perfect. No matter how hard I try to run my fingers on the previously damaged area I could not feel any hint of repair. Ditto for the wheel.

Ok, so I got a litttttlllle dent on my bumper — ok it was actually quite large and took out one corner of my bumper. I hated looking at it, even though, functionally everything was ok.
I had gone around looking for auto repair… some places were trying to charge $ 800 for a new bumper, repaint, etc etc. All I wanted was someone to heat the dent out of my car! My «baseline» quote for «heat treatment» was $ 200 … and that wasn’t even covering all the work that I needed.
Luckily, we found Dings & Dents … thanks Unilocal! For less than $ 175, they got out my very large dent, fixed the front panel on the front of my car, and re-​pinned my bumper back to ship shape. Can’t even see that I had a dent and cracks in it unless you really really look for it. and then you only see minor crack. ** Other places nearby kept quoting the $ 800… Dings & Dents explained that I really did not need to go through all that **
Really liked that they delivered EXACTLY as promised. Very satisfied with their work!
They told us everything would take 2hrs, but finished in 1.5hr. Worked out really well for us. :)

I had Dings & Dents fix 3 small dings on my car door and a nasty dent on the rear quarter panel. They did a decent job with the dents, but, when I picked up the car they hadn’t done any more than the absolute minimum.
The car was a little bit dirty, and they didn’t even wipe down the area they were fixing. I can see the suction cup marks all over the door. And the dent on the rear quarter panel had some scuff paint from the white item that struck it, and they didn’t buff any of that out.
The price was reasonable, but I guess you get what you pay for.

My PT Cruiser was vandalized while parked on the street overnight. Emailed Dings and Dents during the weekend with pics and I got a call from Joe first thing Monday morning. Quoted me a great price. Had the work done in my garage. Joe L. made me a true believer in the PDR process. Amazing work and flawless back to 100%. Joe L. is a perfectionist. Thanks Joe!

I was referred to Ding & Dents by an autobody shop after a shopping cart slammed into the sliding door of my minivan.
First shop actually said that paintless dent repair wouldn’t work because of the reinforcement bar right behind the location of the dent. The dent itself was quite deep and even had a raised point where it hit the reinforcement bar when it was dented.
Anyways, I took it to Dings & Dents after the second body shop said it might be doable. Called Joe Tuesday afternoon, took it in Wednesday morning for him to look at it and provide an estimate, and booked it for Thursday to get the work completed. Very smooth from beginning to end, just picked up the car and can’t even tell a dent was ever there.
Now I’m thinking of having him fix a couple of dents on the trunk of my other car (which he took a quick look at Thursday morning when dropping off the minivan)!

Alex works magic on fixing the dents and scratches on my bumper covers. He offered a discount since there are more than one dents to work on. The original price was already reasonable to start with. I am also very satisfied with the work, the bumper covers looks brand new again.
Calls to the body shop don’t always get through but I understand that they might be quite busy. Later I noticed that Alex left his cell number on the receipt and when I called, I can always reach him. He was very friendly and patient addressing my questions and concerns.
Alejandra (if I spell the name right) was awesome, too! I’ll definitely come back if I were to have another fender bender. Highly recommended.

I own an Auto Repair Shop and have used a lot of different companies for dent repairs when my customers request it. I normally don’t review these companies but this company stands out.
I have tried to get different paint-​less dent repair facilities to pull a difficult dent on the quarter panel of the vehicle. This has proven to be difficult at best. No one was willing to at least try. Dings and Dents said this may take a while and it may not be perfect, warning me of the difficulty due to the location of the dent.
The did a great job, way better than my expectations and my customers!

What most people don’t realize about auto body work is it is often unnecessary and can often adversely alter the fit and finish of trim pieces and adjacent body panels. Joe, the owner and dent expert (with over 20+ years of experience in full service auto body shops), for as little as $ 75 and 1 hour of your time can work magic on your dent (no matter the size).
In the same shop he partners up with Alex who runs his own auto body paint business. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did fantastic work while I waited.
Before you go to a traditional body shop I recommend you stop in to see what Joe can do or since Joe has a mobile operation he can come to you as well.

I discovered that some unkind individual had dented the side of my Limited Edition Dodge Challenger while parked at the Morgan Hill Rec Center. I was furious…
I took it to Dings & Dents (recommended by Stevens Creek Dodge) and they worked a miracle, making my car look new again. I’m still worried that another unkind person will dent my car, but at least I know where to take it «when» it happens.
