Established in 1938.

Modern Rug has roots in Santa Clara County for more than 70 years. The business has always been about rugs and carpets. Modern Rug has had three owners in that time period. Each one pushing the business into the future, while keeping quality work at the forefront. Bruce Savin currently owns Modern Rug and has 25 years of carpet and rug experience. The crew is small but mighty! with time in company ranging from 8 to 18 years. There is no substitute for experience and workmanship. Give us a try, you wont be sorry.

Hi there, I am Bruce. I own Modern Rug. I got started in the rug business in 1985 cleaning rugs to provide for my family. It was not my dream job, but something about it always worked with me (the completion of a good looking job? The being in charge of yourself and your jobs, the money wasn’t bad, you were out in the sun most days etc.) including the chance to own build and run it in my own vision. It’s been a challenge of a lifetime. I have cleaned carpets 5 different ways. I have dyed spots and rooms. I have been on a truck mount and have been in the office. I’ve stretched, patched, seamed and installed most carpets. I’ve been fortunate to have experienced a lot in this business. My philosophy on business is provide the best service at a fair price. I cross-​train the employees to provide the best service possible. We are friendly and skilled. You will always be treated fairly and with respect at Modern Rug
