Established in 1965.

Established in Venice, Calif. in 1965, Gold’s Gym is the most recognized gym chain in the world with more than 650 locations in 37 states and 28 countries. The iconic brand ranks in the top 15 percent of Entrepreneur magazine’s 2011 «Franchise 500.» Gold’s Gym offers the latest equipment and services, including group exercise, personal training, cardiovascular equipment, group cycle, Pilates and yoga. The McCall Gym Group, Inc. is the longest, continuously operating Gold’s Gym franchisee in the history of the Gold’s Gym franchising system. We have been in business for 32 years. The McCall Gym Group, Inc. owns five franchised locations in Santa Clara County. The first club was opened in San Jose in February of 1981, followed by Mountain View in April of 1986, Santa Clara in December of 1990, Campbell in June of 1996 and south San Jose in June of 1999.

Jerry McCall, owner of The McCall Gym Group, Inc., doing business under the trademark, «Gold’s Gym», is a private membership fitness facility that provides personnel and exercise equipment to assist its members in the achievement of their fitness goals. We devote considerable time, resources and effort to provide clean, comfortable facilities, a trained staff, fitness programming, value pricing and solutions to our customers needs.

He also co-​founded the Gold’s Gym Franchisee Association in 2001. McCall was able to consolidate the franchise group into a single voice in order to more effectively deal with a new ownership group.
