Great service. Very friendly. Tasty and fresh sushi. First time ordering a bento box — very pleased. Everything was hot that was supposed to be hot, and everything that was supposed to be cold was cold. Very clean restaurant too. Will happily be back.

We came in on Christmas Eve and ordered takeout. The food was ready quickly and the service was very friendly. The prices were fair. We got a mango sake roll, which was good; simple and tangy, with ripe mango and fresh tuna. The Cameron Park roll was very yummy; a standard tempura filled roll with brown sauce, but still delicious. The vegetable roll was very plain, but still good. I’d love to see some more variety in the vegetarian options, but it’s a small complaint. I’ll definitely be back, since it’s close and inexpensive.

I’ve eaten here on two occasions and ordered take out on one. The low stars is mostly for the dining in. It’s a small restaurant, but they only have ONE waitress for the entire place. That’s not too bad except, she does the take out orders too. She only has time to do the bare minimum, so when I wanted a second bowl of rice, the BF had to go up to the counter to ask for it. Had I been given a full bowl instead of half of one originally, I would not have needed a second serving of another half a bowl of rice. I also did not get a refill on my hot tea. The food itself is decent; I have had better. For example, the chicken katsu is pounded sooooooooooo thin that it’s hardly a meal. I do like that they bring out a nice bowl of miso soup right away with your water, this is a nice touch. My BF has ordered the sushi, and he had no complaints.

Great food! Great people!!! I like to go in for lunch with my Mom and daughter they are so nice to my little one. Their food is always great and fresh. Love the twins roll 1, miso soup and bento boxes with sesame chicken.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Not only are the two sisters the sweetest ladies in the world but their sushi is amazing!!! They make us feel like family every time we go and the KEVIN roll is amazing! It is the only thing we order now it is so delicious! We will continue to go here! Oh and if you want something different– ask for your roll to be make with«black rice» that is bomb! But is a little more-worth it though!

Priced like every other sushi restaurant, there is not much inspiring here. Too much brown, sweet sauce on every roll. With 10 or more sushi places between Folsom and Placerville, you will find better almost everywhere else. The room can be stuffy and hot in the summer months, as the owners use a portable swamp cooler to keep the room«cool». Although inspiring this will to save our planet it has to be done better, this is a restaurant. Most of all I come for an inspired sushi chef, that doesn’t exist here.

This place has great service, the 2 sissys are adorable, and I actually like the rolls, but I DONT like that every roll comes with the same exact sweet brown sauce! If they would get a couple more sauces to mix things up a bit, we would come here regularly, but until then I think we will head down to Folsom for our sushi cravings.

The food is okay. Nice little neighborhood restaurant with very good service. We’ve only been here twice. We thought the fish tasted fresh but average in taste and presentation. Each roll was served with the same brown«magic sauce» that was not to my liking.

The place was ok but nothing really to brag about. Sushi rolls are quite average across the board. Prices reasonable but not cheap. Ok for a quick bite of sushi any given day.

The miso was ok but it came in the smallest bowl ever! The twins 2 roll was just so blan and basic. I’ve ate better sushi at Safeway! There were bento box lung specials but roll specials on rolls! Totally disappointed! Next time I’ll drive to Placerville for American ichi!!!

We have been eating at Twin Sushi for many years and have had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. We get seated quickly, the service is personal and fun, and the food has always been yummy! It was a long time before I realized that the two women were twins and not the same person. :)

Twins Sushi is a hidden gem that produces delicious, vivid tastes in their food! If you find yourself on the way to Lake Tahoe, you MUST stop by Twins Sushi to fulfill your sushi cravings. And get this, Twins Sushi is actually owned by twin sisters! They run the restaurant and run it well. —-The Food — - BBQ Albacore($ 12.95) — An appetizer dish that can’t be missed by those who love ponzu and bbq sauce. When these two mix together, it has a sweet, flavory, citrus-note-finish that’ll make you want to lick the plate clean. This meal offers about ten pieces of bbq’d albacore that’s crispy on the edges but super tender on the inside. Once you’re done, ten pieces won’t be enough. Seasoned seaweed is provided and presented in the center of the dish too. Twins #1 Roll($ 10.95) — One of their signature rolls that has deep fried shrimp, snow crab, avocado and all topped with fresh roe. These items seem ordinary, but one thing that sets them apart is their unagi sauce. Holy crap, if I can get a hold of their unagi sauce, I think I’d put it on everything. Just imagining it on a burger makes me salivate right now, but I digress. I was told by one of the twin sisters that this unagi sauce is made everyday with some secret ingredients. Wish I could buy a bottle! Each roll comes with about 10 pieces. S.B. Roll($ 12.95) — This magnificent roll has spicy tuna, imitation crab, deep fried asparagus, topped with seared tuna and abundantly drizzled with that special unagi sauce! The rolls are well-sized and nicely made; they didn’t fall apart much either. Sashimi Sake($ 12.50 for 8 pieces) — All the cuts of the salmon are made with precision and had no tendons. Beware of the wasabi that is placed in between the rice and salmon though. I wasn’t expecting it to be there, so I added more wasabi, and it was a spicy, pungent bite. Substitute white rice for black rice for enhanced texture and taste!(Extra $ 2.00) —– Verdict: This restaurant will tug at your heart strings with their impeccable service and distinctive fresh rolls, you’ll walk away impressed and craving more. I’ll miss you, Twins Sushi especially your unagi sauce! Extra Notes: –Accepts Credit Card –Extremely friendly service – Love the twin sisters! –In CVS plaza –Has multiple tables inside and sushi bar that seats 6 – 7 people –Spotless restaurant –Modern Asian Décor –Very clean restroom

I will NOT be returning. My hot tea was served barely warm, and never refilled. The chirashi is sooooo small. It doesn’t even contain the standard items that most chirashi contain. There were just a couple of slices of fish and that’s all. Maybe 6 thin slices? It was sooo small. And very high priced. Complete rip off. I was still hungry after the chirashi since it was so small, so i ordered a hand roll. There was a HAIR in my hand wrap. Ugh makes me want to gag just thinking about discovering that. Omg so gross Will definitely avoid.

Great sushi and experience! The service here is excellent and owners are so down to earth. It’s service with a smile and makes you feel like family. The sushi here is also excellent including the spicy tuna(which is by far the best way of preparing spicy tuna that I have ever had) this coming from a sushi fanatic. The rolls are especially good. I recommend the«Twins no. 2» or the«firefighter roll» Will definitely come back to have some sushi here again!
