In my eight years of professional experience, since graduating from the premier Beijing Film Academy, I have worked with brides, fashion designers, photographers and models to design beautiful, elegant and fashionable styles appropriate for each event. I have come to understand that each situation requires a different look, and therefore I start each job by meeting with the client to discuss their desired look and the feel of the event. After the meeting, the fun part starts for me and I begin to consider how to apply a few clever strokes of makeup combined with some deft hair design to accentuate and exemplify the personal beauty of each client. The best part of my job is delivering the look on the day of the event.

History

I would like to share some of my thoughts about my work during my eight years of experience in China and America.

Weddings: I love weddings which make me feel warm, happy, and remind me that love is unconditional. I love to hear every single love story from each wedding. I have always been touched by all the love stories. I am crying while the brides are crying. I laugh when the grooms make their beautiful brides laugh. I am definitely engaged with this work. I am so proud of being a part of their weddings, to feel their love, to share their happiness, and to make them stunning!

One of my friends is a clothes designer and told me: a lot of people know how to do makeup, but it does not mean they are an artist/​makeup artist. I totally agree with him. That’s my dream: to be a makeup artist instead of a person who knows how to do makeup. It took a while to hone in on a style that not only looks good but also feels good.
