Swagger & Glide is a unique fashion consulting and personal shopping service that specializes in finding the right look for each unique individual at the right price. Swagger & Glide offers a wide range of professional styling services for men and women of all life-​stages, ages and sizes.

Fashion consulting services include a spring clean and thorough assessment of your wardrobe, valuable advise on making wise clothing purchases and mix/​match new outfits from the clothes you already own.

Personal shopping services include shopping with the stylist to get a better sense of the labels, stores and styles that best suit your body type as well as allowing the stylist shop for you and bring all the option to your own home where you bedroom becomes your fitting room.

Business Owner

For over 10 years, friends or family have called upon SooJin, to save them from their shopping woes and fears. Through many of these countless experiences, SooJin fell in love with helping others hone their personal style and find clothes that match their personality, body type, and budget.

In the fall of 2008, SooJin K. Chu turned this hobby into a full time business and launched Swagger & Glide, Fashion Consulting and Personal Shopping. The concept grew out of her fine arts background and a desire to make fashion more accessible on a day-​to-​day basis for everyone.

Clients sign up to work with Swagger & Glide for a variety of reasons. Some lack time to shop because of hectic schedules. Others struggle with navigating confusing stores, sales, and brands or cannot find clothes that fit their body type. SooJin aims to serve all kinds of men and women who need to maintain a beautiful wardrobe without sacrificing their budget or precious family or free time.

I was schooled by a master (to be kind). I received the gift of Swagger And Glide from my co workers. I think I dress pretty well, btw. Its not hard really: Black, blue, tan and gray pants and you match with a blue, white or stripe shirt and then match that with a sports jacket
As it turns out, it may be harder than I thought.
Soojin first talks about your body type as well as what you like and how you dress. Then she tears through your closet retiring your out of date clothes. She also teaches you how clothes should fit. Most tailors do not know this info or do not seem to apply it properly.
Perhaps the best part is the different combinations of existing clothes you will never think of wearing. I am wearing a blue corduroy jacket (bought it for $ 20 in a consignment shop) along with a brown sweater and tie I never wear. Gray pants and brown shows complete the look
And I look damn good…
So will any wardrobe impaired male…

Signing up for my subscription service with Swagger & Glide was one of the best decisions I made. I actually love shopping, but given that I work 70 hrs a week and travel a lot for work, I just don’t have much time for it.
But each month Soojin shows up at my door carrying bags full of the best each store had to offer that month, in colors she knows will be flattering to me, in my exact sizes. She’s great at picking out clothes that aren’t just trendy/​fashionable, but also suit your individual style/​body type/​work environment.
Best of all though, she’s AMAZING at finding good deals. Cole Haan coat at 50% off? Tory Burch sweater for 70% off? Gap dress for $ 15? Why yes, thank you! She’s gotten me some incredible deals, and I’ve learned a ton from her on what colors and cuts work best for me.
Sometimes I’m embarrassed to admit that I have a «personal shopper» because it sounds so snooty — but S&G puts a completely new spin to the idea of personal shopping, making it much more accessible and practical for working professionals today. Would highly, highly recommend!

Soojin is amazing. Such a great personality!
I gave her service to my fiancé as a birthday gift and it was a huge hit. If you are a guy looking for a gift that is different and will have everyone in your girl’s life saying «You have a personal shopper???» then get in touch with Soojin.
I don’t know much about fashion but my fiancé says Soojin did a GREAT job picking out clothes that she likes and at a great price

Soojin was great in that she didn’t just pick out clothes and make me buy them, but she actually explained why the clothes she was picking looked better than the clothes I already owned. For example, Soojin would point out that dress shirts she was buying me actually had less material around the waist and shoulders than my current shirts, and that although her dress shoes of choice for me were a little cheaper than my existing ones, they were better since the shape matched my body shape better. For everything from shoes to belts to pants to shirts, Soojin slowly revamped my entire work wardrobe all the while making sure to educate me on how to wear them and match them with each other. By the end of my seven month subscription, along with several a la cart add-​in services to flesh things out, Soojin had basically revamped my entire work wardrobe.
While at first I was a little hesitant to be paying someone to buy my clothes for me, by the end I felt like I was saving money in the end – not only did Soojin save me a ton of time with shopping and returning clothes, but I also ended up liking a much higher ratio of my clothes. After my subscription ended, I found that I wasn’t wearing any of my old work clothes anymore, so I donated everything, and found that I had much more space left in my closet since I only had what I liked, and Soojin had done a great job in mixing and matching outfits to create variety without buying a ton of pieces.
