Green Planet Pest Control

I’ve been using Green Planet for a number of years for everything from ants, to wasps, and ugh, mice. They are terrific. So nice, extremely reliable and they do great work. I really can’t say enough good things. Recommend them highly!

This fall, we discovered our house had rats. Big ones. Green Planet came recommended so I called. They returned the call immediately. Todd McNamara came to the house within a day or so – quickly and accurately assessed and addressed the situation. The rats didn’t go lightly and Todd was responsive (he was juggling communications between all three of owners in our condo association) and quick to the punch. He offered detailed explanations on his plans, came as often as necessary and didn’t stop until the problem was solved. As I am a realtor, Green Planet has officially become my new go-​to for a pest control recommendation. Thanks again Todd and Green Planet.

They came within a day of our first mouse sighting and were quick+efficient in terms of going all around our apartment and sealing off holes. Their mice services come with a 1-​year guarantee, which is great.
They’ve had to come back once since their initial visit to seal off a new hole we found, but came right away and were proactive in terms of checking out the other apartments in our building. Everyone who’s come by from Green Planet has been very professional, friendly, and uses safer chemicals which I appreciate. All around a great service.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time. We have a 3 family apt building and had many issues with mice, bedbugs and cockroaches (all at the same time!). We called Green Planet and they came by to treat all 3. they have the longest warranty for mice and cockroaches than any other of the companies i contacted. they are extremely professional and use safer non toxic chemicals that are still effective. These guys were very easy to work with, great communicators, and have wonderful customer service. I would highly recommend Green Planet Pest Control and will continue to use them for our house whenever we have any issues

We had what we are sure to be bed bugs. Identifiable bites and all. We called Green Planet based on the reviews on Unilocal,and they definitely live up to all the great ratings this place receives. When I called about my bed bug problem, Todd picked up and was so helpful. I told him that we were sure that we had bed bugs but believed that it was in the very early stages. I was calling trying to get him and his team out to do a whole extermination. Todd told me that if I was sure that it was the early stages of bed bugs to go to a link he provided me which was to a pdf of a bed bug removal guide. It cost about $ 20. Todd told me to follow the ebook to the t and wait a couple of weeks. If there were still bed bugs after the diy treatment he had me and my boyfriend then I could give him a call back.
It’s been about a month since and (knock on wood) we haven’t had any since. No bites, nothing. I can’t thank Todd and Green Planet enough. Instead of having me pay an arm and a leg I only paid $ 20 and my problem was solved. Thank you Green Planet for having exceptional customer service and being more than just about the money, but about actually helping people.

Green Planet is awesome. They responded to my request immediately and setup an appointment right away. They came and inspected the property and told me everything they saw. Then I scheduled with them to come back and spray. They are professional, easy to reach and very helpful. Would definitely suggest!

I have never actually had to use Green Planet for pest control services. I’ve reached out to Todd twice over the past few years about insects that have turned up in my apartment, and he said I could send him photos so he could identify them and offer suggestions of how to handle it. As everyone has said, he is super nice and helpful. If I ever did have an issue that needed extermination/​control services, Green Planet would absolutely be the first place I’d call. They seem genuinely interested in helping, and not selling.

We love Green Planet. We have a problem with pharoah ants, and our landlord recommended just using Raid to kill them off. After a full can of it not making a difference, we took matters into our own hands and called Green Planet. We were looking for kid-​friendly and pet-​friendly pest control who could respond quickly.
I called one day, and they were out the same day initially. Other visits, we’ve gotten next-​day service at a time that’s convenient for us. Their method of treatment is to treat with the least invasive method, wait two weeks, and then re-​evaluate to see if the bugs are still a problem, changing the treatment at that point.
They were really helpful with consumer education (i.e. what we can do when we see ants between treatments, interior and exterior changes we could make to discourage pests, etc.), and told us what they were doing, the chemicals they were using, and the risk level to kids and pets at the same time they were in the house. They only offer yearly contracts, and come out as many times (and anytime) during the year as needed to fix and maintain the problem. We’ve had them out three times – two for initial treatment, and once for a new influx. We’re now a month out from the last treatment (the three treatments happened over about two months), and haven’t seen any ants recently. We’re happy to be using their services, but hope we don’t have to call again soon (since that would mean the ants are back, ha!) Their customer service is top-​notch, and if I’ve had to leave a message, I’ve gotten a prompt reply.

They are so great! I found Green Planet Pest Control via Unilocal.Although their price is more expansive than other pest control companies (according to my landlord), but they are SO responsive! And that’s exactly what I needed. We have mice problem around the beacon hill area, and they came as soon as they can (a day after!), and we called them back twice within the following 2 weeks (because the mice chew through the floor board) and they came by within a day or two again! They are very professional, highly recommend them!

Use these guys! My only regret is that we didn’t call them sooner. This is my first Unilocal review ever, because these guys deserve major kudos and because I want others who are dealing with the headache of pests to get great help!
I live in a condo in Beacon Hill, and we have had terrible mice problems since we bought it about 5 years ago. My husband didn’t want to call an exterminator because he thought they would only do what he could do – set traps, but down poison, try to fill holes with steel wool, etc. WRONG! Green Planet did an extremely thorough job, using a flashlight to look for every possible entry place in every nook and cranny of our very old building. Their objective is always completely sealing things off so that mice can’t get in – not just killing them once they are already in. (Who wants dead mice in their home anyway?) They used an expanding, squirting foam product to completely seal all holes. They advised that we should not have stuck steel wool near any electrical sources (oops). They also put poison in the walls and then completely sealed off the holes so that there was no poison inside our home, and it was completely safe for our dog.
It was really easy to schedule an appointment through Todd — he is super responsive via email. He was also very patient as I tried to coordinate schedules for all 5 unit owners in my condo building (all units wanted extermination). The 2 guys who came out, Gevo and I think Nick, were SO nice. They were punctual, professional, friendly, and I trusted them in our home. They came out for the initial service and then also returned in 2 weeks for a follow up. Following the follow up, they are available to my whole building on call for an entire year. The cost was $ 1,025 to do 5 apartments that are about 650 square feet each, including the 2^nd follow up visit and being on call for any possible pest reappearances within one year. Divided by 5 units, the cost was a no brainer.
After the first visit, I think our MAJOR mouse problem was almost totally, if not totally, eliminated. I found just a couple of mouse poops 2 weeks later, but I could not tell if they were old (if they fell off the broom, etc.) Gevo said they will assume they are new and proceeded to inspect and fill the tiniest of nooks and crannies.
I have no reservations about giving them my strongest endorsement – and I have very high standards. Customer service in general all too often disappoints. Not with Green Planet. I commend them for being friendly, professional, reliable, and offering good value. Wish more service providers did business like them.

I just got back from vacation and got bed bug bites. I called Todd and he gave me a simple solution. He was very honest and wasn’t try to sell me his services. I admire that and find that very rare these days. Todd genuinely was trying to help me with my situation. I would go to him for any pest issues! He is by far the most honest. I called another company and they were trying to sell me services for over $ 300! GO WITH GREEN PLANET PEST CONTROL! HANDS DOWN!

Todd and his team at Green Planet are excellent to work with. Everyone I spoke to and worked with was knowledgable, kind, and incredibly professional. Other folks in my condo association say their prices are very reasonable compared to similar service they’d had in the past.
They sorted our mouse problem right away — sealing holes and setting traps. We haven’t seen any signs of pest activity since. More recently, we’ve been dealing with a squirrel who has found its way into a wall. With one quick call to Todd, Green Planet came back out to see us free of charge even though our original work with them was unrelated. Unfortunately, they don’t do squirrel removal specifically, but they took time to give us advice on the right business to call.
Would recommend without hesitation.

They spent over a half hour on the phone with me talking through pest solutions that wouldn’t require me to hire them. THAT is what I call good customer relations — and I wasn’t even a customer! I would definitely go back to them.

We had and unknown «visitor» in our basement and I called Todd late in the evening. He called me back right away and came to our house the following day. He checked out the room and figured out very quickly that the visitor was a shrew who had wondered in by accident and couldn’t get out.
He put some traps down and told me that shrews can be very hard to trap and it may have even already found its way out. Todd did not charge me for his visit and he asked me to let him know how it turned out.
Well, we caught the critter with one of the traps and I feel relieved not having to wonder if it is still in my basement.
I am very thankful for Todd’s promptness, his expertise and also his tactfulness for not saying too much in front of my daughter (she would have freaked!)
I highly recommend Green Planet Pest Control and would call them back in a heart beat if we ever needed their services again.

You’ve got to love a business owner who tells you you don’t need their services. But I did get advice based on my flea situation — which was that I could handle my mild infestation myself. Todd told me about products and how to be patient and what to expect. I really appreciate his sharing of his expertise. Although I didn’t use his service I definitely will call them in for anything else that comes up.

Absolutely the best ! Polite, knowledgeable and extremely responsive team of professionals led by Todd and Colin dedicated to unmatched customer service and support.
Exceptionally prompt returning phone calls and/​or answering of emails to respond to questions. They actually take the time to educate the customer on a perceived or potential problem — a refreshing change from the norm.
During initial inspection, Todd’s «eagle eye» on identifying (and fixing) mice entry point into house solved a years long rodent problem of previous owner… missed by three pest companies in the past. They also honor the service of military members which says a lot about their character and that of their company.
In the short time I’ve been using them have been totally impressed with their flawless performance and support. Only wish I could find more service companies with their work ethos. Highest recommendation.

Todd is a great guy, super nice, very knowledgeable. My landlord has a carpenter any issue with his house, and hasn’t really dealt with it… but he did get a contract with Green Planet, and they’ve managed to help the issue quite a bit! I guess a few years ago they managed a rat problem in the basement of this house as well! I’m grateful for the improvement in creepy crawlies all over my clean apartment, and also for the prompt and pleasant customer service!

These people are exceptional. They are prompt professional and knowledgeable. Their price model is a fix year long contract which averages around $ 500.
Have and will use them repeatedly.

We had an enormous carpenter ant infestation. The previous owners of our house must have been blind because these ants were literally pouring out of the ceiling and floor and walls in the sunroom. Todd came out and met with my wife and inspected the property and quickly found the colony. He treated very carefully as to not get poison near my kids and dog. Within two or three days, we started seeing dead ants. Unfortunately the colony was very mature, so it took two full treatments (~35−45 days) for the colony to die. I vacuumed up at least 1,500 dead ants in the sunroom and there are about 500 dead outside. It has been a full week since I’ve seen anything in the sunroom, so now we can start using the room finally.
Todd came back and baited the front trees because I’ve seen the ants trailing up and down which indicates another colony in the area. I’m confident he’ll get them.
I’m pleased with green planet because they always respond to emails and phone calls. Todd had the answer for every question I asked him and he was patient with me trying to understand everything.
