Tom Sheehan is the best realtor I have ever worked with, hands down. He is knowledgeable, friendly without being in-​your-​face, and he has steered me away from properties that he felt would not be the safest investment (and he therefore walked away from possible commission). I have never trusted a realtor so much. Tom really wants what is best for his clients. I haven’t been successful yet with an actual purchase, but that is a product of this crazy sellers’ market. Tom has helped me make some very aggressive offers with short time frames. But he has always stopped short of allowing me to take crazy risks or let my emotions blur good judgment. When I recently had to back out of an accepted offer, Tom was as kind as he could be. I cannot recommend him strongly enough.

Lisa Santana was friendly, thorough, and super-​helpful. She got us a GREAT price on our condo (we were selling), and an agressive closing date, which we needed.
I highly recommend Lisa.

This is specifically a review for Lisa Santana.
My wife and I interviewed the five most highly-​rated realtors in the area, and at the end of the day, we are extremely grateful that we chose to work with Lisa. During the interviews, we asked for market studies from each of them for our place in Cambridge. The process was very daunting, and through our discussions with the realtors we felt like the other «big players» in the area were intending to sell low and fast so they could keep their stat lines high in a depressed economy. Lisa, on the other hand, understood we needed to sell quickly, but understood the market area and specific nuances of the particular neighborhoods.
She was willing to commit to the hard work it actually takes to sell a house — doing all the legwork and making it to countless showings. She didn’t rely on a lockbox to do all the work. Other realtors seemed to think if you put photos and videos up on the web the house will sell itself.
Lisa worked relentlessly… and sometime after three weeks our place was under agreement. Somehow, she first managed to instigate a small bidding war between two interested buyers. This was all during summer 2011 — one of the worst housing slumps in our recent history. She continued to serve and guide us through the entire process — inspections, negotiations, and eventually the closing.
Selling your house is a stressful event, and I have to admit I had a few breakdowns in the process. Lisa responded to my tantrums with nothing but professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude that moved us forward.
We highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a great realtor. She is truly the best of the best.

My agent, Liz, was great to work with when we were selling our condo and moving out of state. She took care of some crazy repair issues (the upstairs neighbors neglected to replace their water heater and it exploded), staged the place for us, and really went above and beyond what I’ve seen most agents do, in general. :)
We loved her so much that we used her again as a rental agent when we moved back to the city. When we start looking for a home again, I know which agent I’m going with.

We love Cambridge, but when it was time for us to pack our stuff and prepare for a big move to DC, I called Marius Gallitano again. He was my buyer’s agent in 2004 when I moved into my place, and now he’s my seller’s agent.
I never thought I would say this but Marius is even more awesome than he was when I first met him– he absolutely knows his stuff — he explains every step of the process in a way that’s totally accessible and helpful, he’s unbelievably organized, he’s so enthusiastic (when we got an offer that was lower than we wanted, he kept saying «don’t get down about it. Something better will come along.»), and he’s an absolute pleasure to work with.
All of this to say, moving stinks. It’s tiring and stressful and awful. Marius makes the buying (and the selling) as painless, straight-​forward, easy, and — dare I say it – fun as humanly possible.

Having rented some places in Cambridge through this Re/​Max office in the past, I figured they may be able to assist in my search for a property to purchase in the city of Cambridge. The realtor I had dealt with in the past had moved on, so pretty much based solely on the recommendation of Jennifer N.(below) I contacted Marius Gallitano (
). If I could, I’d send Jennifer N. a bottle of champagne cause working with Marius as my buyer agent was exactly what I hoped for when looking for a realtor.
Being a first time buyer, I had little knowledge of the process for purchasing property. The first thing Marius did was give me a crash course in real estate and he was very thorough in answering every question/​concern I could dream up. More importantly, he was very reassuring that what appeared to be an overwhelming process, wasn’t actually that bad at all.
Immediately after giving Marius an idea of the type of place I wanted and in the areas I was looking in, he took full control of the buying process. That day I had a list of properties in my email to review and days later we were out looking at places that he felt were a good fit for what I looking for. With every place we saw, Marius quickly gained a perspective for what I did and did not like in a property. He used this knowledge to fine tuned the condos we visited and fairly quickly I found a place I liked and began the bidding process.
To say the least, Marius made the journey from initial bid to P&S to closing extremely easy for me and was consistently on the ball with addressing anything and everything that came up throughout the buying process. Not once did I feel he wasn’t fulling his responsibilities. Even after I closed on my property a month or so ago, Marius has continuously remained in contact with me to ensure anything that may have came up was addressed according.
The bottom line is, Marius is great at what he does and is super easy to work with. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend working with him if you’re looking for property in the Boston area.

This is my first on-​line review of anything or anyone!!! If anyone deserves me sitting down to do it, it’s Marius Gallitano!!! Buying a house could have been a terrifying experience, but because of Marius, I actually enjoyed it! My husband was SO confident with Marius, that after only seeing 2 of the MANY, MANY houses we looked at over the months Marius helped us submit an offer on a house my husband had not even seen! We bought the PERFECT home for us! Marius was so professional throughout the process, but he really shined when it was crunch time — during the P&S signing. I really felt that though on the outside he was all business, I knew his heart was totally invested in us finding a home.
