Pentecostal Tabernacle is a multi-​cultural, multi-​ethnic, and multi-​generational church. Situated between Harvard University’s and MIT’s campuses, we have a large population of students that attend our church. Whether you are nine or ninety or whether you come in a suit and hat or a pair of jeans, all are welcome.

History

Established in 1927.

Pentecostal Tabernacle was organized by a small group of Christians that desired to establish a public place of worship in accordance with the principals and doctrines of The Holy Bible.

Bishop Brian G.

Manager

Bishop Brian went to school and worked in Cambridge for many years before becoming the Senior Pastor. He is committed to making this church one of the most welcoming places in Cambridge. His goal is to not only have a positive affect on the congregation but to extend that impact to the surrounding community.

I first attended Pentecostal Tabernacle when I was an undergrad at Boston University and loved it! It truly became my home away from home. The congregation was super friendly, smiles all around with an amazing praise and worship team. A «come as you are» and «church without walls», PT welcomes all. After I graduated, I knew that there was always something special about PT. So, seven years later when I found myself back in Boston there was no hesitation that Pentecostal Tabernacle would become my home church. BEST DECISION EVER! The worship experience is always spirit filled. But there is nothing like being spiritually fed with the bible-​based teachings from Bishop Greene and knowing that presence of the Lord is in this place. If you are looking for a home church, look no further.

I’m an international french student travelling all over the world, and I’ve visited many churches, but Pentecostal Tabernacle is one of the few when I came I directly felt welcomed and at home. This is so important when you are away from your native country. I quickly joined the young adults group; it is amazing how many interesting activities they had (mentoring, teaching, macedonia dinners…). What’s more, sunday services are a trully reviving and restoring, the worship team is so professional and has a heart for God. The word from Bishop Green, a humble man of God, is always on point. I enjoyed his teaching during a year. If you are new in the area or if you are looking for a church you should definetely go try PT out, it is amazing!

I’m not a religious person, but I decided to go to a service at Pentecostal Tabernacle’s 56 Magazine St location and LOVED it.
At first I felt uncomfortable, as I was one of very few white people at the service. I thought they’d think I was invading their space. But everyone treated me like a sister right away! It was the most wonderful church service I’ve ever been to. The priest was hilarious and very moving; the music was spot-​on; the congregation was full of loving energy. I didn’t make it ten feet into the building before several people greeted me.
It is by far the most welcoming church I’ve ever been to in my life, and they are GENUINELY welcoming, not just making small-​talk. Try it out! You won’t regret it!
