Master the Time Concierge

This is yet another crazy story. I live outside of Chicago and had located today, in Boston, a pair of sneakers that my son desperately wanted for the holidays. Unfortunately, the store would not take a credit card over the phone, despite my pleas. The shoes had just released the day before, and immediately sold out. No place (local or online) had them. The store manager was kind enough to hold onto the shoes for a couple of hours while I tried to think of something. On a whim, I Googled «Boston errand service» and ended up on Pavlina’s website. It was Sunday, so I was not optimistic that anyone would answer the phone, but sure enough, Pavlina did. I told her my nutty tale and where the shoes were. She was so open and friendly, and told me that she would be happy to help. She took all the relevant information, and within an hour, I had a picture of the shipping label texted to me. Pavlina was incredibly professional and efficient, and in addition, had an absolutely lovely and engaging personality. We giggled about how silly this was the whole time. My son goes to boarding school in NH, so if I ever need anything in that neck of the woods, I will be calling Pavlina again. I cannot recommend her more highly!

ok, this is a bit of a complex story. In July, 2014, my daughter was attending a video design camp in the Boston area. We live in Los Angeles, so the flight time is about 5 hours and she had two large pieces of baggage she needed to check. My daughter is under age and does not have a credit or debit card. In the past, I’ve been able to check her into her flights and pay for baggage online. The airline we were using (which I’ll not name) previously had allowed for baggage fees to be paid online during online pre-​check-​in. As you are probably aware, you can’t check-​in online until 24 hours before departure. So when I tried to check her in online, I couldn’t pay for baggage. I was on the phone with the airline trying to figure out how to pay for baggage online, but was unsuccessful. Baggage is $ 25 for the first bag and $ 35 for the second bag. My daughter didn’t have enough cash to pay for baggage. I began a frantic search to figure out how to get her cash to pay for her baggage. After googling and making phone calls for about 2 hours, I found Pavlina at Master the Time Concierge. Pavlina called me back (which I didn’t expect, because my proposal of delivering money to a teenager in the Boston area sounded so ridiculous). She didn’t even blink. Within one hour of connecting by phone, she had delivered the money to my daughter which required her to obtain the money — if she didn’t have it — contact my daughter at her camp, arrange a place to meet, drive there and find her (which was probably not easy since my daughter’s camp was taking place on a college campus) and deliver the money. I’m still so amazed I found someone able to do such a crazy errand. I recommend Pavlina and «Master the Time Concierge» as the business that can do absolutely anything. Even if you think it’s crazy, call Pavlina. She’s like Superwoman.
