I have known Ed for over 10 years and have worked with him in the past as agents in the same office and Ed is everything you want your realtor to be. He smart, savvy, outgoing and aggressive when he needs to be. He helped my family get through a very difficult sale, «
difficult family members» and he kept the eye on the prize, it wasn’t a million dollar deal, but it was important to us and he did everything he could to salvage the deal and the house sold by the skin of our teeth. He never let us know how difficult it was until years later. I recommend him to everyone I know. I call him about any smallest thing and he has time for me and gives me great advice, referring me to the right people for my business.
All in all ED is TOPS in my book and you can tell by how well he is doing and well he is respected in the Real estate community. HE is a cool dad and has fun in life and he is the kind of guy you would love to have a beer with :) and just shoot the breeze.

Ed was our agent both when we bought and sold our house in Watertown. He’s a great guy and consistently on top of things. We got a great deal on our house and when we had to sell (moving out of state) a year later, he stepped up to the plate and we were able to sell our house with a significant profit and in less than a week on the market. If you’re looking for a hard working and nice guy, look no further. And really, how many truly nice guys are there among real estate agents? Not that many.

My wife, son and I moved to Cambridge from NY over a year ago. The idea was to rent first then find a town we would want to live and jump into the housing market as first time buyers. We had not been pre-​approved and only a few ideas of towns we thought we would enjoy living in… then I walked past one of Ed’s listings and called the number on the sign. Ed was gracious with his time from the get go, he said the listing was in contract and asked if there was anything he could do to help with our search as a buyer’s agent. He was easy to correspond with and always returned calls and emails. We met in his office and he was an incredible wealth of information along with dedicated professionalism. We took the whole journey with Ed, the mortgage pre-​approval process, target markets, house hunting on weekends and nights all the way to our closing… oh, did I mention this was during the worst winter in a hundred years? He was always open to us changing our focus or exploring another town and made sure we understood pros and cons up front. He answered my pregnant wife’s many, many questions with patience and made the process of house hunting with an 18 month old stress free. We slipped and slid our way through a handful of open houses and feel very lucky to have found a place we could call home in North Waltham. He handled all the heavy lifting and his extended team are some of the best in the business. The whole experience was really positive and he made himself available to us from beginning to end. We are so thankful to have found Ed, all his advice and insight helped us tremendously as first time home buyers.

You need a realtor to sell your place, call Ed. You need a realtor to help you buy your place, call Ed. You need a realtor just for advice for anything in the area, call Ed. I had first called Ed a few years ago when I was thinking about selling me place. He gave me good advice, was always happy to speak with me, always responded in a timely manner, and I decided not to sell my place.
So when I did decide to finally sell my place, I called Ed and he still responded in a timely manner and was happy to meet with me. He was one of three realtors I met with and he came in with the best action plan on how to sell my place. The entire process was quick, incredibly efficient and best of all, took very little work on my part. He has very good knowledge of the market, the area, and is a problem solver. On top of it all, he is a darn nice person and very easy to work with!
I could not have asked for a less stressful and positive real estate experience and Ed is a very big factor in that.

Both of my Somerville rentals gave me pretty short notice that they were moving out because one set of tenants bought a house and the others got married and wanted to move closer to friends and family in Quincy. I found Ed on Unilocal and saw the glowing reviews. He was quick and gave me great advice. His assistant, Noha, deals with most of the rentals and she took over my rentals after Ed took a look and gave his expert diagnosis on pricing, staging, improvements. Noha’s advice was right in line with Ed’s and with short time, she got both units rented. I thought my situation was pretty demanding and Ed and Noha rose to the challenge and knocked it out of the partk. I would highly recommend them for rentals and based on talking to them about their sales work, I’d guess they’re equally competent with sales!

As a pair of anxious first time homebuyers, working with Ed was the best choice we could have made! He was extremely helpful, knowledgable, respectful, and honest. We found him on Unilocal,after asking all of our friends for recommendations and no one had had a positive experience with their realtors.
Well, we had an absolutely positive experience with Ed. You truly feel as if you’re his only client, as he is never too busy to answer a silly question, or to explain something for the 5th time, or to go see any house. He came with us to any open houses and showings that we wanted, helped us focus on everything from cities/​neighborhoods (when we first met with him, our only criteria was «nearish to Cambridge or maybe IN Cambridge?!»), to the style of house (we wanted anything from a condo to a multi-​family). At no point did he roll his eyes at our naivety or laugh at us.
Through Ed, we were also connected with a great team, from his recommendations for mortgage broker and lawyer. We were quickly pre-​approved and ended up closing on our cute little single family Medford colonial about 3 months after our initial meeting with Ed. We can’t wait for spring to throw a housewarming party, play some horseshoes in the amazing backyard, and have Ed bring the beer.

I called Ed after reading these reviews on Unilocal a few months ago when I was just beginning my house search, and it was the best decision I could have made. Ed helped my fiancé and I narrow down what types of properties and neighborhoods were a good fit by getting to know us and understanding what we were really looking for (even when I felt like I was changing my mind every day…).
We were looking in a very competitive market and price point — Ed’s experience and knowledge helped us feel confident it would all work out when as a first-​time buyer, I felt anything but. He is a straight shooter, very responsive to emails/​phone calls/​texts, and an all-​around good guy. Ed gave us honest feedback and steered us in the right direction when we needed it — pointing out repairs that might need to be done and how much they could cost when touring a property, helping us craft offers that were competitive but not outside our comfort zone, and navigating through some stressful negotiations. We closed on our new place last week, and I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out.
He knows the area, has a good reputation and relationships with other brokers, and can recommend other professionals to make the rest of your home-​buying process go smoothly. He is the best — I would (and do) recommend Ed to anyone I know.

I’ve known Ed for over five years now and can’t say enough good things about working with him.
He was referred to me by a friend in 2009 and helped me find an incredible condo in Davis Square within a couple months. When I sold the condo to move in with my fiancée, I called Ed to handle the listing and we quickly sold it for more than I originally paid. He also helped a friend of mine find a great place in South Boston in 2012 and this year we called on Ed again to help us find a house in the Watertown/​Waltham area.
When we found our dream house, Ed’s great advice helped us to beat out ten other offers to get it. Like other reviews have said, Ed is experienced, honest, and quick to respond. I first found Ed through Unilocal and after seeing the reviews I thought I’d give him a shot. I’m glad I did. He is the best real estate agent I’ve worked with.
He is professional, extremely knowledge, always available, and not afraid to talk straight. I don’t know how he does it, but like the other Unilocalers have said, he makes you feel like you are his only client.
He also has a great team around him that make the home buying process a breeze. I was able to buy the 2 family home I was looking for in just two months despite being in a highly competitive sellers’ market. No way could I have done it without him.

Ed is, to put it simply, the best. My husband and I sought Ed out after finding him on Unilocal.We were first time home-​buyers, and we had been looking on and off for a home for a few years. We were also dealing in a competitive market and price point. Ed was fantastic to work with — he found us lots of options, and really payed attention to what we liked. My husband Brian and I had a wonderful experience working with Ed. He’s personable, and incredibly honest. As first time home buyers, we didn’t necessarily have a knack for looking at the details. There were many instances in which Ed informed us a house we were considering was not the best choice. He often pointed out things that would need to be fixed and actually disagreed with our decision at first to make an offer on a house. Clearly his sixth sense was correct, as the sellers didn’t accept our offer at first. We offered a great deal over asking price too. A week later, we found the sweetest colonial that we will be moving into at the end of August. Once our 2nd offer was accepted, the sellers from the first house came back to us and were hoping we might still be interested. We felt so lucky to have two house options to choose from in this market.
We trusted Ed’s judgment throughout the process, and actually found a house within 2 months of looking! Not to mention, because of Ed, we were featured on the front cover of the Boston Globe’s June 11, 2013 issue. His suggestion to write a personal note to the family who owned the house clearly made all the difference.
Ed always made himself available to us, late at night or early am. There were many times where I would ask him questions that were most likely out of left field, and he never made me feel like my question wasn’t valid. Ed is very resourceful, and I find myself continuing to reach out to him to find professionals in the area to support us through the home buying process, as well as assist me with my taxes.
We look forward to staying connected to Ed, and plan on inviting him to our housewarming. My husband has even mentioned that he would like for them to be friends. That’s just the kind of guy Ed is.

Ed is phenomenal! We were competing in a very difficult market (my father looked incredibly confused when I explained to him that homes in Boston actually sold for asking price, or significantly above) and Ed was extremely patient with us and gave us 110% throughout what was a pretty long process.
Ed was extremely thoughtful about the advice he provided and never let us fall into the «hype» of the early 2013 market. He thought carefully about valuations and in the end, we are in a condo that we love and we paid a very fair price (and in fact found out that we won despite not being the highest bidders).
Ed was very responsive to e-​mails and phone calls (and being first-​time home buyers, we pestered him a lot!!), met up with us at just about every open house we went to, set up tours for us, stayed through the entire home inspection, and was generally extremely «present» for us.
By the end, Ed felt more like a trusted uncle rather than our broker (he even bought us a housewarming gift when we moved in!). If we stay in the area, we’ll definitely use Ed again and we recommend him without reservations.

I just closed on my first condo yesterday (I’m officially an adult)! I didn’t start with Ed, but I am glad I ended up finding him via Unilocal.He was very low pressure and honest about every one of the (what seemed like) hundreds of properties we looked at. Knowing I was a first time home buyer he was patient and explained every little detail from A to Z while offering objective suggestions.
I’ve told just about everyone that will listen about Ed and how pleasant the experience was… I just hope my friends listen! I hate hearing about people who have had let downs or feel like the person isn’t working ‘for’ them. Ed goes above and beyond on everything! He even came to my closing and sat in a hot room with no AC while I signed/​initialed over and over (again, what seemed like hundreds of times).
One thing I can’t stress enough is how flexible and patient he is. I work nights so would ask that Ed only call me between certain hours unless a dream house hit the market. When my bank was dragging their feet with a mass housing loan… he suggested his friend who was a financial Speedy Gonzales and nailed everything down quickly and was also always available/​patient!
I could go on and on, but really just wanted to write more than just «he’s great» as a review. I am giving him all five stars here before I go and see if he has an account on angieslist…
I found Ed via Unilocal,if you’re reading this I’m guessing you’re in the market. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! So send him an email and meet, what’s the worst that can happen?! Also, protip: there’s always street parking behind their office if you have a Cambridge sticker.
