My wife had come here for acupuncture and herbs for various ailments. I had just been given a very high cholesterol lecture from my doctor — so faced with the choice of taking medication or finding an alternative, I decided to give them a try. Now, after many months of using their herbal treatment my cholesterol reading went down to a more reasonable level and continue to work it even further down. My doctor could hardly believe it! I used to think Accupuncture was a «voodoo» science and considered it a hoax. Then 10 years ago, I had plantar faciitis so bad I could barely walk. I went to an acupuncturist in Denver and was healed in 6 treatments.

I stopped by this center a few days ago to inquire about their services and a woman stepped up to the counter from a side office. She was not welcoming at all, short and quite rude, insinuating that i had interrupted her lunch… news flash… lock up and put a close sign on the door!!!
There are so many other places in and around town with professional staff who are quite willing to accept my money!

I have been seeing Dr. XU for about 3 ½ years. I initially went for pain that I was having due to a gallbladder removal. Medical doctors said there was nothing wrong with me yet I had this horrible pain that had gone on for several months after my surgery. After the insurance refused to pay for more tests I decided to try acupuncture. After my first treatment my pain was 99% gone. She continued to treat me for so many other problems such as hypertension, asthma, stress, back pain and digestive issues. She has turned my life around. I am in a much better place since I have embraced Chinese medicine.

I have been going to Dr. Xu for 7 weeks now, and I highly recommend her if you are suffering from any health or pain issues. This is the first time I have tried acupuncture. I initially sought help with a bone disorder affecting the middle bone in my right thumb. In addition to being able to help me with that issue (it will take a while but I have already noticed an improvement), Dr. Xu has been able to help with all of the problems I have been dealing with over the last several years, including digestive issues, chronic fatigue, poor circulation, headaches, and chronic neck, shoulder and lower back pain. I’m more energetic than I’ve been months, and I’m living with a great deal less pain than before I started this treatment. Mind & Body has a very nice office and facilities (including private rooms for the sessions), and Dr. Xu and all of the staff are very friendly.

I have been seeing Dr. Li Xu for a few years now and have credited her with getting my health back on track. I didn’t know much about acupuncture other than my husband swore by it for treating pain. When I completed her new patient questionnaire and she did a consultation with me I learned she would be able to help me with so much more. When I saw her my immune system was so weak and I was having recurrent bronchial infections that my HMO doctor would just prescribe antibiotics for but not get to the root of the problem. Dr. Li helped me to build up my immune system with a combination of acupuncture, cupping and herbs.
In the last year my son, who was in the first grade when he first saw Dr. Li, started to see her for his weak immune system and chest colds. Being that he is so young he was afraid of getting acupuncture with needles but he agreed to try cupping because as he said was, «sick of being sick.» Dr. Li was very kind and patient with him and helped me to calm him down during his first treatment. I am happy to say with regular cupping, herbs and (now that Dr. Li has gained my son’s trust) a few acupuncture needles he not only isn’t habitually getting sick AND his seasonal allergies have lessened.

I am so lucky to have found Dr. Li! Acupuncture is the only thing that I’ve found to be successful with managing my chronic pain. My last great acupuncturist moved to Seattle two years ago and I hadn’t found a worthy replacement… Until now! Dr Li is the best I’ve ever had! She is a wonderfully sweet woman who truly cares about my well-​being. I’ve been amazed at the amount of time and care she has for me on each visit. I’ve been in daily pain for 13 straight years, and this is the most manageable it’s ever been, thanks to Dr Li! Her treatments also helped my wife through her pregnancy, as well as naturally inducing both my wife and my wife’s best friend. I would highly recommend Dr. Xu to anyone for any health, pain, or reduced quality of life issues — especially if you have not found resolution in Western Medicine. I have had an issue with my collar bone and jaw since I was a baby, and it eventually led to other joint and pain issues over the years. I have experienced lower back pain and unbalanced hips, and a tremendous pain in my shoulder that lasted over 6 months. The pain was so bad that I would wake up every 2 hours, which greatly reduced my quality of life. I also developed late onset Type-​1 diabetes 6 years ago.
I tried to resolve my issues through Western Medicine, underwent CT scans, x-​rays, received chiropractic treatment, met with Oral Surgeons, Ear Nose and Throat doctors, and even purchased an inversion table. Then I went to Dr. Xu and found great improvement in the range of motion and strength for my shoulder, and the pain has reduced to almost nothing. She has also helped me with my diabetes through acupuncture and herbal supplements, which has promoted balance in my digestive system. My blood sugar has stabilized, and my energy level has increased as a result.
I am extremely happy with my experience with Dr. Xu, and have already recommended her to many others who could not find resolve through Western Medicine. I believe in Dr. Xu and the practice of Eastern Medicine; it has been around for many thousands of years, as opposed to Western Medicine, which has only been in existence for maybe 500 years at most. In my experience, Western Medicine only addresses physical ailments, whereas Dr. Xu looks out for your physical, mental, and spiritual well-​being. It really is life-​changing for the better! You just have to be open-​minded and give it a try.

I have been going to Dr. Li for a long time now, before they moved locations and has been the only thing that helped curb my migraines. I went there because I was always getting sick and it has helped my immune system as well. Accupuncture can help with most things including stress and Dr. Li is very good at what she does! Great staff here as well. :)

Dr. Xu is the best Chinese Medicine practitioner I have encountered in the US. I am Chinese myself, and I would say I have more experience with Chinese medicine than most people do. Dr. Xu definitely stands out among the best. She is very knowledgeable in Chinese Medicine principles and very perceptive in dealing with her patients’ needs, two of the best qualities one needs to be a good Chinese medicine doctor. She can discern the causes of illnesses and take the appropriate course of action and get results in as few treatments as possible. Whether you have health issues or trying to find balance in your life, she is the one to go for help. I highly recommend her. She treated my shoulder pain that lingered for over six month, at times sever, in just three treatments! She then worked with me to balance my whole body, which benefited my health greatly.

I just completed my first acupuncture visit today at Mind and Body. The place is very clean and there is relaxing music playing in the lobby.
Fyi, there was a lengthy questionnaire to fill out in advance so come a few minutes early the first time. I usually don’t take that part too seriously because the Doctor never looks at it, but when I was called back for the initial review Dr. Li went through it all and more! She asked isn’t that normal, and I replied that in all my H+P’s (history and physical) I’ve never had a doctor go through so much detail. The cool thing was she explained how she could treat different things along the way. Very nice! I had acupuncture done every week for 4 years straight in California. It kept me feeling happy and healthy (and my job puts me around sick people all the time). I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find someone very good in Washington state, but I can already tell I am in great hands with Dr. Li at Mind and Body. I can’t wait for my next visit.

I had resigned myself to living with a seizure induced sleep disorder, restless leg syndrome, IBS, various aches and pains, low energy, always feeling cold, and severe allergies. It was the constant headaches that I was not willing to accept.

I have been seeing Dr Li for a few months now. I have a torn rotator cuff and have had an injection and physical therapy through traditional medicine. It helped for about six weeks then it was bad again. They suggested surgery which I did not want to do as a last measure. Dr Li has not only treated my shoulder with great success (90% better) but I am now off all pain medicine. I was also taking a very low dose of thyroid medicine that I did not want to take. With herbal medicine from Dr Li I am also off those. I am currently using her facial cream because I have a lot of irritation and redness which I try to hide with makeup. With her cream no longer wear any foundation of any kind and my skin looks great!!! Dr Li not only treats just one issue, she treats the WHOLE person. She is very sweet and always takes time to listen. Don’t expect to get in and out in a hurry, the appointments take some time and because she is soooo awesome she gets very busy! The clinic also has a Massage Therapist and Chiropractor on staff. Oh, did I say that my menopause symptoms are fading as well! Thank you Dr Li! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I had been seeing Dr Xu for two years when we moved 45 minutes away. She was helping me with some overall womanly issues. She was always patient and listened carefully to my concerns. I never felt rushed and always left the office feeling very relaxed. After our move, I decided to try a local acupuncturist who did help me with some of my health concerns. However, I recently developed a severe allergic reaction to something (not exactly sure what). The reaction caused my eyes and cheeks to swell up and become inflamed. When I woke up in the morning, it appeared as if I had been in a prize fight. My face was also extremely flaky, dry and read. After a couple days of trying different products, with no relief, I knew I needed to go see Dr. Xu. I had developed so much confidence in her that it was quite natural for me to make an appointment. She listened and asked questions with her usual patient concern. Then she gave me one treatment and some herbs to take internally. She also gave me some of her special-​formulated cream to apply topically. Oh my! I cannot even begin to explain the difference the cream made. My face cleared up considerably within one day. By day three, it was completely clear. I have pictures to prove my testimony. If you go see her, ask to see them as I have forwarded her the before and after shots. The cream is non-​oily, creamy, and soothing, and I even like the smell. I will be returning to see Dr Xu should I have any other issues. Forget the 45-​minute drive. She is amazing and her cream is amazing as well.

I have been coming for about 6 weeks, and have had a good experience each time. Reception has always been welcoming, and efficient. Dr Li was able to work me in quickly on my first visit and began treatment not just for my critical issues but for chronic problems I have had for years.
I like the fact that I can get chiropractic and massage at the same office, it has been very convenient. Dr Ken takes it as a personal challenge to resolve your issues, using a variety of techniques and even giving you ‘homework’ of stretches to help improve your condition.
I also must compliment them on the office and treatment rooms, it is a new facility and very nice (love the relaxing pictures and music on the screen in reception).
I have not yet tried the classes in yoga and qi gong, offered as part of a total wellness approach, but the studio space looks nice.

After many years of treatments that weren’t going anywhere, and many drives past Mind & Body we finally decided to make an appointment and check them out.
We have previously done acupuncture in San Diego, CA so we were some what familiar with what would happen in this process.
When i called to book the appointment, i was greeted by a very nice and welcoming person who not only booked us with a prompt appointment but answered any and all of my questions and helped ease my skepticism to if this would help my husband.
Our first appointment was VERY through with Dr. Li, more so than any other Doctor or Acupuncturist we have seen. My husband suffers (or more so sufferED) from insomnia, depression, PTSD, anger issues, anxiety, neck pain, headaches, and loss of appetite and motivation. All of these issues have been going on since 2010 after returning from a combat deployment with the military.
Dr. Li’s concern for the severity of my husbands condition was and is heart warming as most doctors we’ve seen over the years just want to prescribe more medications. Which isn’t much of an option for my husband as medications have previously caused two seizures in the last 10 years.
Previous acupuncture places were difficult to relax in as they were in a group «community» setting, but Mind & Body gives you your own relaxing room, which was just that for my husband and I.
It has been a month of going to Mind & Body and each and every appointment since the beginning has given us something we have not been able to fathom in many years, Hope. Each week my husbands conditions have IMPROVED. He is now sleeping, and eating, he is motivated to do things and has not been in pain since starting treatment with Dr. Li.
We enjoy going each week to my husbands hour of treatment, as the staff are all very friendly, Dr. Li is informative and positive and excited when she hears each week how things have improved, which in turn helps continue our hope in this process.
We HIGHLY recommend checking out Mind & Body. They have improved the quality of life for my husband and our family and given us Hope that we can heal and get better even after years of not seeing any improvement from previous treatments such as medications, therapy, physical therapies etc.
