Inspired by the restaurants of New York and a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine, Barolo’s kitchen creates inspired and delicious offerings.

It’s urban sophistication meets Napa Valley sensibility in this unpretentious local gem of a restaurant. Alongside our hand crafted cocktails, we offer a great selection of local and imported wines by the glass, ½ bottle and full bottle.

History

Established in 2006.

Originally called Barvino, we secured a rare Napa Valley liquor license and changed our name to Barolo Italian Kitchen and Cocktails in 2009. Along with the name change, we have completely revamped our small plate menu to a more eclectic menu inspired by a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine and the wonderful fresh ingredients abundant in the Napa Valley.

Meet the Business Owner

Mark Y.

Business Owner

After living in San Francisco and working at the St. Francis Hotel, Mark came to Napa Valley in 1985 where he joined the young and exciting team at the Auberge du Soleil. It was there Mark learned the fine art of true hospitality. Knowing the valley was where he always wanted to be, Mark joined forces with partner Ron Goldin in 1990 and together they built one of the valley’s most enduring restaurant groups, Left Coast Restaurants. Today this includes Checkers Restaurant (1987), Brannan’s Grill (1998), and Barolo (2003), all located on Calistoga’s restaurant row.
