The food here is excellent and always very consistent quality. It’s quite noisy and cramped in the pizzeria area and the dining room is very small and it gets very noisy so if you want a quiet place for dinner this is certainly not your place. But for takeout it’s great and if you don’t mind eating in a pizzeria atmosphere you will return over and over. Prices are a little higher than most pizzerias but the quality is worth it.

The food is some of the best Italian food in the area. The pizza is the best. The service is very fast which is great. No complaints except I wish the restaurant section(not the takeout/pizzeria section) was larger to accommodate more guests.

Even though this place is super busy all the time, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Forte is a great place for pizza, seriously ‘great’. Large, plain, thin-crust pie, well done, is all you need. I usually get the takeout as the parking lot is easy to maneuver. There is restaurant dining with a more extensive menu. It’s a little noisy in there as it’s busy with families and teens. What a great local business, check it out.

Great experience with my family. The food was delicious and the bread that was placed on our table prior to dinner was soft and warm. We ordered pasta and chicken and it was amazing can’t wait to try the pizza!!! Yum, yum, yum!

Every time I come here(which is very often) I am never disappointed. No matter what I get, the food always taste fresh and amazing. The staff is really nice and they treat you like your family. Since I go so often with my boyfriend’s family, they know everyone by name and treat us like royalty. The place is always packed and regardless if you sit down or take the food home, its still the same quality and taste the same. One side is a pizzeria where you can sit and order from the main menu, the other side is more of a restaurant with a different menu but you are still able to order whatever you would like. I would highly suggest trying this restaurant!

This place is ok. The food is decent but they need more gf options and to lower the prices… they are far too high for a pizzeria. The staff is relatively nice but def not super friendly.

Highly recommend for catering! Forte catered my sister’s bridal shower, and I couldn’t have been happier. I ordered the Chicken Francese, Eggplant Rollatini, Orecchietta Amalfi and Tre Colori Salad. All not the guests loved the food, and the presentation was great as well!

I used to love Forte. It was all the rage when I was in high school. We used to order once or twice a week. I was never a fan of their plain cheese pizza, but that bruschetta pizza, that was my favorite. But alas, the bruschetta pizza seems to have evolved over the years. It’s still approximately the same size, maybe a drop smaller, but they seem to be skimping out on the toppings. They used to be bursting with tomatoes and diced onions, but now, there was only a couple pieces of onion on the whole pie and the tomato did not cover every inch like it used to. Majorly disappointing. I do love their cheese calzones though. And the hot sandwiches are flavorful as well. I really like the chicken parm and chicken marsala. But, I have noticed that the portion sizes of the meat in the sandwiches had decreased over the years, while the prices have steadily increased. I understand that operating costs rise over time, but if you’re going to raise the prices, don’t reduce the portion sizes as well. I will still frequent hear occasionally while in the neighborhood visiting my parents, but it’s no longer my go-to pizza /Italian restaurant.

I feel like such a moron. I grew up in the area and ordered a lot from fortes– mainly pastas, apps, salads… but I never got the pizza. For me, growing up I was a Franco’s guy. After the fire scandal, I found Frank’s Trattoria and I swore by it. My buddy from Caldwell told me I was nuts for not going with Forte’s. His big recommendation was the taco pizza. Sadly for me, there was no taco pizza. I has a slice of ziti and a splice of chicken parm. Wow, do I feel like a dumbass. This was hands down some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’d challenge anyone in NYC that swears they can’t find good pizza outside the city to eat here and not love it. What a waste of time not going here all these years.

The food here is very good and always consistent quality. With your entrée you get to choose either salad or pasta, but if you get a pasta dish, you do not get a salad. The reasons for the 3 star and not 4 star are: 1) The waitresses here can be a bit rude sometimes. 2) The dining room is very small and can get very tight 3) When the dining room is full, it is very noisy. There is nothing on the walls/ceiling/floor to absorb the noise. There is a separate room that is part of the pizza parlor. I have never been able to get a table there.

Best pizza in the area hands down. This is everything pizza should be. Crisp crust, high quality cheese, intense tomatoes — the best pizza in the area. We eat here at least once every two weeks and are never disappointed. The pizza is never overcooked or under cooked. We’ll also tried several other items on the menu and have always been pleased. The lemon chicken sandwich is perfectly done all the time. Same with the soups. I’ve also been very happy with other items on the menu such as the lasagna. One minor quibble is the place is a little cramped and seating can be a premium. Still, my absolute favor place for pizza in the area as well as take out pizza for dinner.

One of my favorite pizzerias and restaurants in Northern NJ! I’ve been a frequent patron of Forte for the last four years and let me tell you, it is delicious! Their pizza is very good. Nice and crispy. Their slices are also very big! Their soups are good portions and they also have a great selection. Sautéed spinach or broccoli is a great choice, so are the stuffed artichokes. The restaurant is also BYOB. Definitely a great find. Worth the price and the food is delicious!

Another standby in the Caldwells that I’m happy to have. We order(for delivery) from these guys fairly consistently, and they deliver the goods 99% of the time. Our favorties are the grandma pizza in the square variety, and the *salad* pie which is cold, with fresh mozz, roasted peppers, and I believe either spinach or arugula leaves. That said, we’ve eaten here a few times, and most of their offerings were very good. The more formal area is still not exactly formal, but at least it’s cozier than the kid’s section, as I like to call it. Good food at average prices, delivered to my door with fantastic consistency… no complaints.

Fav slices: grandma, buff chk, caesar Bruschetta appetizer and fried calamari are great. Lentil soup is my favorite soup, even though everyone goes crazy for the pasta fagioli! The grill chk long hot shitakii mushroom panini is AMAZING!

We were wiped from engagement cake browsing and decided to get pizza for dinner. We ended up here and we were pretty impressed! 1st time ever that we saw a Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza so we had to get a slice. We also had a slice of Bacon & Chicken and Buffalo Chicken. The Salad Pizza was delicious — a white pizza with very creamy ranch but not over powering the other ingredients. The Bacon & Chicken was also great — packed with flavor. The Buffalo Chicken slice was my personal favorite of the three because of the blue cheese sauce complimenting the buffalo flavor. Also, the crust was not too thin and crunchy, not too bready and did not get soggy. The prices were very decent for this quality of food. Eating at the pizzeria was pretty comfortable too and there is plenty of parking out back. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for variety in quality, affordable pizza by the slice. I would personally go back if I am in the area again.

I’ve just started working in a near-by area and I’ve been looking for a place to grab a slice on a late-night. My co-worker told me about a few places and I decided to give Forte the first chance based upon it’s Unilocal review. I wasn’t disappointed. Stopped in on a Friday night around 9:30 and it was very busy on the casual side, but the employees were extremely helpful and quick with my order. I picked up a Sicilian slice and a Chicken/Bacon/Ranch slice. Both were tasty. The Sicilian was very buttery around the edges and had a great amount of doughiness. The Chicken/Bacon/Ranch was something I’ve never had and it was REALLY good. I would have liked a little more ranch, but that’s just me. It was perfect the way it was. My only beef was the price was a little much, but then again, they were some premium, delicious slices. *Recently at work, someone picked up some plain pies from Forte’s and they were very, very tasty. Another home-run. This has become my local pizza slice spot at work.
