Do not use Jim Harlan for your vacation! I recently cancelled a trip with him, with plenty of notice, and we are now in a dispute over refunds. He refuses to communicate with me and seems hellbent on keeping all of my over $ 8,000! He even sent bogus information to my CC company in an attempt to keep all of the money.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did. This guy is NOT to be trusted.

I’ve been a global airline and hotel rep for many years. Worked with travel agents from all levels and you do not want to let Jim plan your trip. Failed to tell my friends their expensive hotel and airlines reservations had been CANCELED. They were enroute to Africa when they found out. Had they not been diligent and been checking themselves they would have been stuck at an empty airport in a third world country at night. Jim’s excuses were incredibly unprofessional. When you have a small group paying top dollar you bite the bullet and get it done. Period. Jim took no responsibly. Ended in my friends buying double airfare and staying in employees rooms! Run don’t walk from Jim and Uncommon Adventures.

I have worked with Jim on couple of my vacations over the last 2 years. Excellent service and invaluable insight into local activities and highlights at exotic destinations. Jim always works hard to keep the cost down while ensuring a great and exotic experience. Will definitely use for my next trip. FYI, Jim only works on countries he has personally been to/​has expertise in.
