Kaaterskill Associates is a group of professional architects, engineers, and surveyors. Kaaterskill offers land surveying, structural engineering, architectural design, septic system designs, stormwater drainage systems and landscape architecture as well as construction management.

History

Established in 1997.

Kaaterskill Associates was founded by Ewald Schwarzenegger PE and Darrin Elsom PE in 1997. Since then, the company has expanded and moved from a small office in Mr. Scwarzenegger’s home in Cairo, New York to an office in Main Street in Cairo, New York. Additional disciplines added to the original engineering firm include land surveying and architecture. In 2011 the company ownership changed to Darrin Elsom PE and Christine Valachovic LS following the departure of Ewald Schwarzenegger PE.

Throughout the years Kaaterskill Associates has served Greene County residents and the surrounding areas. We also have a established rapport with many realtors in the area who work with clients that own vacation homes near the ski resort in Windham, New York. We also specialize in septic system design and stormwater plan design in the New York City Watershed which is west of Hudson.
