I personally have had the displeasure of working with this realty group. Not only is the man completely unprofessional (Christopher Fennel himself), he is an aggressive CROOK. This man has deposited a «good faith» check (not legal to do prior to signing ANYTHING) into his very own PRIVATE account– and then he proceeded to make his listing impossible to retain– and then REFUSE to give the deposit back!
My mistake, was not looking at his track record, or Unilocal page, prior to conducting business with him. His constant excuses, lateness, and treatment of clients is incredibly unprofessional! I’m not sure if this man is on drugs, or just completely scattered and flighty!
My mistake was also not considering it a red flag– how he belittled his clients and even the landlords he works with!
PLEASE help me spread this post to the far ends of the earth to be absolutely SURE that «FENNEL Realty» at 151 Wilson Avenue Brooklyn does not get the opportunity to SCAM people out of money because they may or may not need living quarters.
In the end, my money was returned after threats to REPORT him. Had my job not been as flexible and caring as they are, to allow me to step out to his office in order to take care of this piece-​of-​garbage… I could have lost that money for good.

UPDATE: I woke up this morning to see Fennel’s hilarious response (below). I showed my wife, and we had a nice little laugh (she was with me during both visits). I would like to say that I’m surprised at his response, but I’m afraid I can’t say that I am. It just goes to show how unprofessional and immature Fennel really is.
Our entire conversation regarding the apartment was done entirely through text messages. Why? Because Fennel has a hard time answering the phone. How he confused the dates is beyond me, considering that in our conversation, it was crystal clear.
When Fennel arrived, he said he was late due to traffic, now it’s because of the elderly. Make up your mind Fennel, which is it? As for me running into the bathroom, and snorting something — I imagine you must be confusing me with your other (unfortunate) clients.
All in all, my review still stands. Stay clear from this man, and be very careful with the information you give him. His response (lies) demonstrates what type of person Christopher Fennel really is.
«The phone calls were very unclear with the man trying hard to complete sentences. I felt something was wrong to begin with. The mad did indeed mix up the days. The following day I did meet him, I admit did arrive 10 min late because my prior client was with elderly. I apologized for being late the guy didn’t even get a chance to say hello; asked for the bathroom. Litterally ran into the bathroom and began snorting something, It was awkward and I did not feel safe!» — Fennel
