History
Established in 1971.
Robert Bendetson is the 4th generation who continues a strong family tradition of quality, service and value in fine home furnishings.
In 1912 Robert’s great-grandfather opened a small furniture store in Haverhill, Massachusetts. His son William and William’s wife Rose worked in the store for several years before opening their own retail furniture store known as Boston Furniture Company. Their son Norris worked with his parents at the family’s store until he was called to serve in World War II. When he returned from the service he assumed the full responsibility of managing Boston Furniture Company. In 1971 Norris expanded the business with additional locations to accommodate a growing customer base. The new locations were known as Cabot House.
