We recently moved to the Bay Area (after only being gone a year) and found a house to purchase relatively quickly. My agent recommended Michael Haigh at WJ Bradley as someone who has always done a great job and could get the job done. She trusted him completely!
Michael and his team were very organized and pleasant through the entire process. Initially Michael quoted me a very good and competitive rate with an outside lender, but before we finalized on the house and locked in a rate, the rate jumped. Although we had started filling out paperwork with the original lender, Michael did not hesitate to drop that lender and change lenders and lock us in at the lower rate with the new lender.
I also asked him to confirm that we would be able to release our loan contingency within our contingency period without an issue. He said «yes» and also said that the moment he told us to release our contingency he could fund the next day if we needed. I had never heard that and had worked with lenders in the past with lots of bureaucracy.
The day before close when I dropped our check off at the Title Company, I was informed that the lender was already in the process of funding our loan. They said this was not typical as the lender typically likes to make sure the buyers’ funds are there before they fund.
So, in short, WJ Bradley made sure that the entire process went very smoothly and I would not hesitate to use Michael Haigh and his team again!

After numerours failed attempts by another lender for the last 12 months. I was very unhapppy with my lender and the lack of communication.
I was referred to Michael by my boyfriend’s realtor about 6 weeks ago.
Michael looked at my current loan that was due to expire it’s introductory rate and said he felt the loan would not be any problem to refinance. The Michael Haigh Team totally came through for me on the purchase of my house. I purchased a house in San Mateo and it was a short sale with two lienholders. Having two different lien holders that needed to approve the short sale made it very difficult because as soon as one would give the ok, we would have to wait for the second to also give the ok. This really put a time crunch on the Michael Haigh Team as they could only go into action once both lienholders were on board, and one of the lienholders put in place a date by which the deal needed to be closed. This left very little time for the Michael Haigh Team to complete their end of the process. In the end, they did a great job and I got the house.

Stunning!
Michael and his team were flawless, helping us with pre-​approval letters while we were putting in offers on homes (sometimes with only a few hours of notice that we needed a letter before an offer deadline) and they continued to work tirelessly once we had an offer accepted. They went from pre-​approval to a funded loan in a week, we were able to close on our purchase in 15 calendar days!
His team member Jessica Ellis stayed on top of making sure we had all the correct paperwork to her on time, sometimes through several rounds of emails and phone calls to clarify EXACTLY what she needed from a given document or account statement. She gave us regular status updates and made sure we stayed in the loop the entire time. When we got tired of sending email attachments back and forth, they handled the change to Dropbox seamlessly. I don’t think there’s anything they could have done to make this a better experience.

I have been a Realtor for 10 years and have the opportunity to work with many lenders. I recently began using Michael and his team. I don’t know what took so long. The first few leads I gave Michael did not pan out for what ever reason. One decided to pay cash but the feedback she gave me about Michael’s honest approach was very positive. I have closed probably 5+ deals with Michael this year and look forward to more next year. First and foremost is his response time. Always a call back or email within an hour or two. Often in the loan approval process the paperwork requested is a pain and his team helps you through it. All of my transactions closed on time and even early. He brags that he can close in 21 days and he does. He has closed deals that other national banks were not able to close and he and his team did it very easily. His appraisals happen quickly. I am really impressed with the service and his rates are competitive. I recommend Michael and his team with full confidence.

We were looking to do a refi of our home and were comparing rates and terms of the big banks (Wells Fargo and B of A etc.). The day we were going to select between them, I had the thought of contacting the Real Estate agent who helped us buy our house. He suggested we call Michael and see what his rate might be.
To cut to the chase: he was more that ½ a percentage point lower than any of the big banks with little closing costs and a closing in under 30 days. The Michael Haigh Team were fast and professional. I don’t think more than an hour ever transpired between an email from me and a quick reply from them (Jessica Ellis is fantastic!). We are very happy with the terms and service we received from this company.

If it hadn’t been for Michael and his amazing team, I wouldn’t have been able to purchase my condo. When Wells Fargo dropped the ball and botched up my loan at the 11th hour, my realtor recommended Michael. I walked into their office on a Friday morning, and by Monday afternoon everything was done! I had such a great experience that i refinanced TWICE with them thereafter– most recently last month. Jerry in particular has always been on top of everything. Utilized Michael for our refinance. He offered competitive rates, provided excellent communication throughout the process, and was very reliable. And because of his tight linkage with the underwriters, appraiser, and the title agency, the process closed quickly and smoothly.
We signed the final title documents in our home on a Saturday with the title company coming to us, which was service beyond what we expected for a refinance.

i’m long overdue on this review but better late than never right? i’m a first-​time homebuyer so the entire loan process was completely new to me and with michael’s help, everything couldn’t have gone any smoother. he was always very responsive to my emails and random questions that i would ask whenever something popped into my head and he made sure to explain to me what each document was for and walked over everything to make sure I understood and also let me know what I needed to pay attention to.
