We rented a pretty simple setup for our wedding reception in Oct, ’15. Nick came to the hotel and set everything up and it worked great. He was then back to pack everything up at the end of the night. He was on time, courteous, and overall a pleasure to work with. Thanks Nick!

Nick was perfect to work with and not just a paragon of customer service, but also just the sweetest person I have met – like in the history of ever. He was so flexible with the fact that we had to hold on to our karaōke rental over the weekend because we were not having a local wedding, and didn’t raise the rate at all, which was completely astonishing. He even didn’t bat an eye when we asked him if we could return it a day late (our trip back was delayed). The karaōke equipment was so easy to work with and sounded awesome (no stupid Casio keyboard song renditions here) and we had an awesome selection, disc free! Completely worth the two hour drive to pick it up – our guests had a blast and I will never forget this experience! Thank you so much, Nick!

Misreprentation: Advertised an electronic piano and took a deposit, then it turned out to actually be a KEYBOARD duct taped inside of a baby grand piano body! Would not give back the deposit money. BE CAREFUL when buying anything from him!

Should get ZERO stars. SCAM ARTIST. Misrepresented an electric piano on Craigslist. Wanted a $ 300 deposit and after driving two hours and finding out it was a piano shell with a keyboard inserted (along with duct-​taped sides) he refused to refund the deposit; claiming he no longer had the money.

I love to karaōke and the equipment we rented for our company happy hour was up to date with recent jams and still had all my favorite beatles and led zeppelin.
nick the man foster swung by to pick up the machine and was easily convinced to do an awesome rendition of sweet caroline. had a blast.

As more people enter the market by purchasing cheap equipment and charging a premium for it, it becomes more difficult to find a quality operation; a quality operation is exactly what you will find with Nick Foster Entertainment.
We needed a karaōke system for a surprise birthday party and we decided we needed it with about 2 days notice. That was no problem for Nick. He provided us exactly the system that we needed and was there personally to demonstrate the setup when I came to pick up the gear.
Nick has plenty of equipment, and it is all quality. I have had extensive experience with much of the equipment he uses, and I can tell you that not only is everything top notch, but Nick has planned out the setup of the gear to be seamless, turnkey, and foolproof. Nick has definitely spent a lot of time and money putting together equipment that will never disappoint.
Obviously, everything worked as promised, and even exceeded our expectations. Nick is extremely friendly as well as knowledgeable. He was helpful in ensuring that we had exactly what we needed to really make our party a standout that will be talked about for years to come.
I recommend Nick Foster Entertainment for all of your needs, I know that he will provide the same level of service for all aspects of his business. In fact, I will be using him again in the near future to book a DJ for another important event.

He left in the middle of the event without telling us. No, really.
I am going to write this as best as I can to be a factual recount of what happened and not how I feel about it. You can be the judge.
We hired Nick to be the DJ for our marriage-​renewal party at an event venue on the coast. He arrived on-​time and set up. When our ceremony was over, he played approx. 30 minutes of music while our guests mingled. We stopped the music to make announcements and toasts, and when it was time to begin the music for the dancing, Nick was nowhere to be found. We looked all over the property for him and started to get worried. Then one of our catering staff told us that he left to go to another gig further down the coast.
We called the phone number that was on the equipment that he left in the room, and he explained to us that there was a problem at the other gig and he hoped to be back soon. We explained to him that he now had a problem at this gig, as well. He directed us to his equipment and said that anyone can punch in the music on Spotify. After questioning him about whether the bride, groom, or a guest was now to be in charge of being the DJ, he said he would explain over the phone to whomever it might be how to use his computer.
A generous guest of ours reluctantly accepted the responsibility (as we otherwise had no music for dancing at the party), and Nick told him how to call up songs. There was no pre-​programmed playlist, just a database of music on Spotify.
He returned to our party half an hour before it ended. When it was over, he was apologetic and said he really had to be at the other event because of the problems there. We told him he only worked for an hour total, so that was all we intended to pay him for. We had prepaid, and he sent us a check for the balance within a few weeks.

Zero stars if i could. Incompetent., unprofessional.
This company supplied speakers for our outdoor wedding event. When my husband called to order/​book, he immediately liked Nick, said he sounded professional. We were excited that he could come all the way out to Lafayette, in the East Bay, on our wedding day.
Problem #1: The day we ordered the speakers, the charge appeared on our credit card immediately, but it was $ 100 more than he quoted us. We called him that day, and he said he would be able to refund us in 1 week, when his bookkeeper came in. Not that big of a deal yet…
Problem#2: Nick said he could arrive at our wedding venue at 1pm on our wedding day, but didn’t actually arrive until around 4:30 (our wedding ceremony was supposed to start at 5pm). We needed the speakers for the ceremony!
Problem#3: He didn’t come with enough microphone cable. We requested around 150 – 200 feet when we made the order, but he was short.
Problem #3: Nick told us he would pick up the equipment that evening, but didn’t show up until the next day.
Problem #4: That $ 100 he overcharged us, wasn’t refunded. It wasn’t until 2 weeks after the wedding that we got an email saying the money was being sent in the form of a money order. One week after that email, the check still hadn’t arrived, so I called him and he was nonchalant about it, saying «you don’t understand how a small business runs, it’s not that easy, things don’t happen that fast.» I gave him a piece of my mind on the phone, and the next day, suddenly, our check appears! Yea, must have been real hard to make a refund after all. We’ll see if the check is any good.

I’m somewhat torn over this review. I’ll just keep it real.
Nick is a really nice guy, and gave us a good deal on the equipment. However, I was more than a little bit frustrated at beginning of our wedding.
Nick was over an hour late to the venue. We were not able to do any sound checks or run-​throughs for our performers, we had to start the event late, causing our guests to wait outside while we scrambled to get everything together. Once we let the guests in, all of the speakers still were not working, and we were still moving equipment and taping down cords.
Nick really did work hard to get everything right once he was there, and everything turned out fine. However, you really don’t want to start out your wedding panicked and angry.
It’s frustrating, because had he been even close to on time this review would be way different.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced! The delivery arrangements were very rigid and not willing to be flexible, the machine was not programmed properly so many of the songs we chose (most of the current ones) were not available. And when asked to pick up the equipment after the party, the comment was «we have families too, we have to get home at a normal hour». I mean really, what happened to «customer service»? I was the customer, right? The party ended at 10, don’t think that’s too late. Well, they did come get it, but only after much complaining. They were not pleasant to work with AT ALL!
This was a teen party, maybe his better for an adult gathering.

Nick is a real pro in the karaōke industry! I’ve rented my karaōke equipment for my birthday party from Nick Foster Entertainment three years in a row now. The 10,000 song karaōke system has sooo many great songs and the system is very easy to use. Nick gave very clear instructions from set-​up to break down and his high-​spirited personality makes him a delight to work with. A highly recommend his services!!!

I hired Nick for my wedding reception, a small, cozy affair. In the process of setting up his karaōke system, he unplugged the amp and mic setup we had going for a friend who was going to perform for us. It took forever to fix. Added to that, during setup he made some snide comments about us not purchasing the upgraded option (there was really no need in our situation). I was disappointed overall. He’s definitely a smooth salesman though — I was pretty pumped to use him before the actual event.

i rented a karaōke machine for my mom’s 50^th birthday, which was really easy through nick. i placed my order and picked it up the day of. he gave me a quick tutorial of how to hook it up and helped me get it into my car. i drive a scion tc and if i can fit all the equipment, anyone should be able to.
returning it the following day was easy and the fact that nick was so personable and friendly made the experience that much better. i would definitely use him again!

WARNING: DO NOT HIRE NICK FOSTER! We made the massive mistake of hiring him for our wedding. Not only was he completely unhelpful, but he was rude and dismissive during the time of setup. Then at the end of the night, his employees never showed up to collect the equipment. Also before the wedding, his company made several unauthorized charges to our credit card. Poor service, poor management… terrible experience.
There is absolutely nothing good to say about this company.

I booked Nick’s karaōke elite system for my wedding day, and the rental included an extra mic, sound system and 50 inch flat screen tv with delivery and setup for a very reasonable price. I received quotes from several other companies for the same services that were far more expensive and had more limited song lists. If you’re looking for a karaōke system rental, save your time and money, and just call Nick. The karaōke was a hit and there was a song for everyone – definitely worth every dollar.
Nick was so friendly and service-​oriented despite my frantic-​bride phone calls; he really puts you at ease. One tip though – call instead of emailing, it’s much easier.

It doesn’t get any better than Nick Foster Entertainment when it comes to Karaōke Rentals. Nick came out personally and showed us how to use the device and the best way to setup the room for the best acoustic. The equipment was awesome and provided hours of fun. I can only recommend them for your next party.

I found Nick Foster via google when looking for a karaōke system for a work event, and it was meant to be, just down the road from us and with a system available on short notice. We got the cheapest tv-​included option and it was PLENTY good to entertain us for two days! We weren’t quite ready for how legit it would be – we were expecting a little box and a song book, but this was the real deal. When we called to see if we could get it for a second day they let us have it free since we were a local biz too :-) So much fun, but it definitely ruined our ability to enjoy Lips karaōke on Xbox at home ;-)

I found Nick Foster when searching to rent karaōke equipment for my husband’s birthday party. We were super pleased at the high quality of the equipment. It was professional and our karaōke experience was perfect.
This is a great deal if you want to really have a quality experience. The only reason I’m not giving him 5 stars is because he charges $ 150 for delivery of the equipment from Burlingame to Oakland which I think is ridiculous (we were able to enlist a friend to help us get the equipment out of the car).
Otherwise, Nick is a nice and professional guy.

Nick is a consummate service provider. He made renting a standalone, professional grade karaōke system completely simple for our big party this past weekend. He arrived a few minutes early and brought the big rig up the one flight of stairs.
He set it up, gave us a run through on how to control it, and then impressed us with a Grade-​A karaōke rendition of a Neil Diamond tune. Nick seems to love his job!
He also made it very simple for us post-​party: he arranged with the management of the venue to come pick it up the next morning so we did not have to be there.
Fantastic service, great equipment and song selection. I belted out an even dozen tunes, and the rig helped me sound good while doing it. My buddies are in awe (more or less…). As good as it gets!
