Procedure went well. Seems to know his stuff (I was with the younger doctor).
The two star rating is for the consultation fee that was more expensive than the operation itself…
I understand that you gotta charge for consultation but I wasn’t digging through your brain with a pitchfork. I just gave you my condition and you listed options.

I’m not sure what these other people are talking about but I had a great experience at this office the staff is very professional, the office and patience room is very clean and the doctors are great and they keep you updated on what’s going on with lab results and On top on getting back to you I will be definitely come back when I need to and yes I would recommend this office to everyone

This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever see. The office is antiquated and I’m not sure that it is clean. The staff is rude,. They dress in hoodie sweatshirts not at all appropriate for a medical environment. They have no follow though. I had to wait 4 weeks to get a prescription approved by my medical insurance because they never followed up with my insurance until I had a second appointment and mentioned it to Dr. Melamud. I have left two requests for the doctor to phone me, and he’s never done it. They charged my credit card twice for the same service and trying to leave a message for the biller has been equally frustrating. One would hope they would see their error and correct it without having to make three phone calls about it. I recommend finding another urologist. The total lack of professionalism leaves me wondering about the quality of medical care anyone would hope to receive there. I will not be going back to this office.

I was admitted to Mills-​Peninsula on June 9^th with six kidney stones. Dr. Ori Melamud came to my room that morning and introduced himself to me. He told me exactly what the procedure would entail and stayed by my bedside asking if I had any questions or concerns. He didn’t rush me at all. The procedure went flawlessly. On Friday, Sep. 26^th, I had a follow up appointment. Again, Dr. Ori Melamud was concerned and listened to all the questions I had. I was very fortunate to get him as my Urologist.

Both doctors came highly recommended by a doctor I highly respect. Sadly, I was not impressed by the one I saw, which was the son.

I went once — my OB had recommended this office to me but advised me to see the son not the father. I specifically requested an appointment with the son. When I arrived I was seen by the father — the son was in surgery at the hospital. I felt the appointment was lack luster and dismissive. I was told my urine sample given that day was definitely not clean and to call Monday for results. I called, had to wait for a return call which again came from the father much later that night and was told the sample was clean. I tried again to make the follow up appointment with the son and was placed with the father. Clearly this office doesn’t understand when a patient requests to see a certain doctor that this is important. They will not comply. I will not return. It’s a shame I hear that the son is a good doctor. Guess I’ll never know.

Both Dr. Ori Melamud and his father, Aitan, operated on my kidney. They are wonderful caring specialists who know what they’re doing. How often do you find a father-​son team in the medical field? Remarkable! Dr. Ori Melamud and the Mid Peninsula Urology Group has made me well again. I recommend them without hesitation.
