William CK Ho, DDS

This is my go-​to dentist. Dr. Ho takes care of teeth. I do my teeth cleaning, dental fillings here. So far i have no complaints. I like the fact that Dr. Ho explains to me every steps before he actually does the procedures. Also, I had done a braces procedure with Dr. William Ho, and It was a pleasant experience. Dr. Ho was really nice, when one of my braces fell off, I just called him and he would fix it the next day. My teeth look great thanks to Dr. Ho.

I stop using him since 2007, yet I was his patient from 2000 — 2006. Here is my unbiased comment about his dental services.
Likes: Clean, bright offices with the latest high tech tools to perform necessary dental services.
Dislikes: He had a tendency to cleanse the teeth too steep resulting a bloody mouth by the end of the procedure. I complained to him many times, but he never listened. Several times, my gum was severely swollen after the routine cleaning. His flossing of my teeth was so heavy that I thought my teeth were about to fall.
I personally think he is only a decent family dentist, not an orthodontist. I had him performed a root canal on two teeth. I found out both were not done completely when the roots of those teeth were swollen badly as a result of bacteria infection. Years later, I had other orthodontists consulted and they all confirmed that they were not done properly. After that, they would try to squeeze more profit me by recommending me to perform a gum cleansing on consecutive weeks. I was stupid enough to take the advice and had them performed that work. Months later, the root infection happened again! I filed a complaint once to him the first time that I got a root infection, but he would not even prescribe antibiotics to me just so that I could get a temporary relief from my pain!!! This, I will never forget, but I had already forgive!!! As a result, I had decided to switch dentist hence I had moved out of the town simultaneously! This had been in my grief for a good seven years already as I try to forget it only when I found out it is happening again now!!!

If possible, I would give a negative number of stars. After being lured into this dental practice by the main doctor for braces, I realized very quickly that not only did it cost much more than other orthodontists, but the procedures and services were also very subliminal. I have been to other orthodontists before this, and I much prefer those to this. Dr. William Ho seems more of a money oriented businessman rather than a dedicated dentist. The plan given to me by this dentist was completely off track. My braces ended up not really doing their job, and I am still left with semi crooked teeth, despite my wearing retainers everyday. The reason I have come to believe for this mishap is money. Instead of keeping my braces on for the allotment of time we had agreed upon, they were taken off only a quarter of the way through the three years. In other words, when the braces came off, all the money had to be paid. I cannot even begin to express my disgust for this dental practice. The front desk ladies are wonderful and welcoming, but the dentist himself I cannot stand.
In part of him being a dentist, instead of an orthodontist, his performance is also subliminal. My mouth was left numb, bleeding, and with inflamed gums, not because I have neglected to floss and brush, but because I feel like he is careless with his work. During my time at Peninsula Family Smile Center, I have also been to other dental offices for cleanings and I have left those other practices with a smile because my teeth were clean and my gums did not shed a drop of blood. I remember cleanings with Dr. Ho, and he would have to constantly apologize for picking at my gums instead of the tartar buildup on my teeth. I cannot express a greater feeling of annoyance and irritation for this dental practice.
Out of the five years worth of complaints I have bottled up, this review is actually very pleasant compared to what I would actually love to say.
Pros: Yes, this dental practice does provide DVD glasses for longer procedures, the complementary bag of floss, toothpaste, and a toothbrush, and the courtesy call to remind you of your appointment.
Cons: The dentist and his narrow mindedness, which in my opinion, is the most vital part of this dental office.

Peninsula Family Smile Center… can we say the best of the best in dental care? Dr. Ho and Dr. Kwong are top notch dentist who know teeth and know how to take care of their patients. My primary dentist at this practice is Dr. Ho but I have also seen Dr. Kwong. Both are very thorough, gentle, and attentive. If you have questions they have answers! The front desk is awesome and always willing to address any concerns that I have. They get me in and out of my appointments and always keep me in the loop when it comes to my insurance. The dental assistants are friendly, knowledgeable, and walk me through every step of my visit.
I have been with this practice for over 12 years and have had everything from braces, to whitening; to veneers to cleanings (they do it all). I always receive compliments about my smile and make it a point to let everyone know that Drs. Ho and Kwong are the reason why I smile so big. I have referred friends and family members to this practice over the years all of whom are still loyal patients of Drs. Ho and Kwong. When I am here they make me feel like family and who can say that about their dental office? They also have another office in the East Bay… Union City Dental Aesthetics which I have started going to since living in the Tri-​valley. It is just as superior as their Burlingame office as it is modern and clean. Both Dr. Ho and Dr. Kwong work out of this office as well which I am very happy about.
I cannot say enough about this practice and am more than satisfied with the care they provide me with… see you at my next cleaning!

I have been seeing Dr Ho and Dr Kwong for over 5 year now. Both are excellent dentists. They explain procedures in simple layman’s terms. They pay close attention to detail. Both Dr’s have patience with the fearful patient. I have my cleanings every 6 months. I’ve also had several fillings and a bridge replaced. The procedures went well, without any problems. My insurance was billed and I was told upfront what my out of pocket would be. No surprises. The office is very clean. The office staff is always friendly and accommodating. I certainly would recommend this practice to friends and family.

After a horrific experience at another dental office that reminded me of a freakishly friendly cult that smiled constantly and tried to sell you teeth veneers, I went looking for a new dentist and got a referral from a friend to this place.
I’ve been a client for over 5 years and have no complaints about the service I’ve received. I’ve had multiple fillings replaced, wisdom teeth pulled and teeth whitening session — all successes.

I had the worst cleaning of my life here. I bled for half an hour. Then my gums puffed up. It was so painful, I almost cried. Now in case you are thinking it is because my teeth are bad, they’re not. There just was nothing delicate about this process. I still love the friendly receptionists, but I really got to go somewhere else.

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Ho for over 5 years and I am very happy with his work. He takes time to review and explain my chart with me which is great cause I always have tons of questions. His offices are clean and bright! Also, they are technologically advanced… LCD screens to view your chart, glasses to watch movies during a procedure, etc. The staff is always polite and helpful, too!

Subpar. Had to get a filling and went back three times to get it shaved down just right. I’ve never needed to go back repeatedly for such an issue. Also, husband got a root canal here but had to get a re-​do (which was out of pocket) since the first one didn’t get the job done. In the process of the root canal, the metal bit broke off in husband’s tooth and will forever remain there. Husband also says that they aren’t too good in dealing with his sensitive teeth.
As for some high points… they do have nifty DVD eye glasses for longer procedures (along with an array of movie choices) and they never keep you waiting for too long. The receptionists are friendly enough and call a couple days ahead to remind you of your appointment. (However, I actually don’t like these reminders since they keep calling until they reach you –they even called me at work when I didn’t list that as a contact number!)
We’ve gone to both Ho and Kwong for a few years now, but we’ve always been underwhelmed with them. When we moved, we knew we didn’t want to settle for our dentist and decided to search for another one closer to our home.

My first visit to Dr. Ho office for routine cleaning. However, I did not have a chance to perform the cleaning as the time has spent to take X-​rays and comprehensive check-​up. I needed to go back the second time for cleaning. I thought his assistant should have told me before they make this arrangement.
6 months later, I went for routine cleaning again. This time, Dr. Ho told me I have several cavities and he asked me to schedule another appointment to fill the cavities. All my life, I never have a cavity. Hence, I went to another dentist the next day or two for 2^nd opinion. The second dentist could not find any cavity at all and asked me where i thought I had the cavities. After that, I decided not to go to Dr. Ho ever again.
I understand that those really tiny small things and stuff maybe considered as cavity, but I think as a good dentist he should explain it to me if there is any need to fill the «cavities» I did not get that from him.
I have to say that this is my own personal experience. I lost trust on Dr. Ho just based on what I experienced with him. I did not have any experience on Dr. Ho ability on anything else other than diagnose on minor cavity and routine cleaning.

dr william ho and susan kwong are well established dentists for over 10 years. I have been going to them for quite a while now and they have been pretty good dentists. I go there for my annual cleanings and Dr Ho took out 2 of my wisdom teeth awhile back and did a good job.
