Burlingame High School

Worst school ever. The majority of the teachers are mad racist! In particular (from personal experience and people i know experience’s) Ms. Koski, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Philopopolous, the vice principle Ms. Thompson, and a few others. Ms. Koski told my classmate (who is mexican) that «her type» are all alike, followed by her laughing & telling her that she will never amount to anything. Mr. Bennett made it a point to always humiliate hispanic students infront of the entire class, and i know because i saw it on multiple occasions. My experience with Ms. Thompson was that i had my phone out, IN THE HALL DURING LUNCH, (let me make a note that i am hispanic) and she very rudely put her discusting face in my face, pointing her finger at me and said «put that phone away, i will not ask you again, i will take it.» i was in shock, and utterly disgusted when she walked passed a white student who was talking on the phone, said hello, and kept walking. students The school is extremely lacking in diversity, FLOODED with stuck up kids who look down on whoever isn’t rich. Its a pretty disgusting school. Worst 2 years of my life, SUPER happy i left!!!

I come here regularly to coach the Burlingame Dragons, a men’s PDL team made up of semi-​professional soccer players.
I don’t know much about the classrooms, but as far as the athletic facilities go they are quality and pretty new.
The location of the school is what makes it so cool. It’s walking distance from the Caltrain station and downtown Burlingame so it’s really easy to get places from campus.
It’s also surrounded by some very pretty eucalyptus trees which give campus such a great feel.
I’m a fan of BHS.

Not sure about school academic rating, but it’s a beautiful school. My 9year old son practice basket ball at this location. I will look into this school for my son high school years.

Ok for my first 2 years bad staff in 2014

Awesome school to go to. The new security guards are great and do a great job keeping the students in classes and from going off campus. The teachers are all great and prepare each and every student for their futures after high school. Big campus. New building for foods being built.

My daughter is an 8^th grader and is looking for a great school, we are from Burlingame but we will not send her there. The majority of elitist there are not only students but the parents as well. I requested for a shadowing but a parent returned my call telling me that it is fully booked! I feel that they are limitting the students to mostly white population-​! You have to admit that the scores of public schools are much higher if there are asians– :)
Worst when we went to the open house and we we felt that there was nobody willing to help out and they only welcome those they already know. I feel bad for the new Asian principal, she gave her speech but the teachers jokingly say she talks too much so she better sit. Where is the respect she deserve? None from those white majority!

Great school, really helped me get into a good college. The career center staff is super helpful and helped me find thousands of dollars in scholarships. Lots of AP classes, great faculty, wood/​metal/​plastic shop that has tons of great machines, programs with the Regional Occupation Program and Community Colleges as well. There are tons of resources and opportunities at this school. Beautiful campus, and nice facilities.
The only reason I’m not giving Burlingame 5 stars, is because the student body can be arrogant and shallow. But o well, I guess you can’t have all the great resources with the spoiled brats that come along with it.

I am white and rich, and I went here.
In hind sight, I can imagine how much this place sucks if you are not white or wealthy.
Its a decent public school though, very safe, and in a good location. But I agree, the rich white ppl (maybe 55% of the school) are assholes. Then there are about 20% whites who are not assholes.
Also, there is usually one black kid.

If I could give Burlingame High School NEGATIVE forty stars, I would. Jaqui S. is completely right… I would rather be burned alive for three-​thousand years straight than even step foot on the premises.

Probably the worst three and half years I had attending this school. I transferred here from a high school in San Francisco. I didn’t really mind the lack of diversity, but the people there are assholes. They think just because they have money, their hot shit. But anyways, soon as I graduated, I move to Oakland and never looked back. Hell, I never even went back to get my high school diploma. I didn’t even KIT with the people I graduated with.

I loved and still do love BHS. Class of ’00.
