Recently had our windows installed by Bay Area Window Pros! We were hesitant about taking the lowest bid, but since all the companies had bid on the same brand of windows, it really came down to how much we’d be paying for the install & service. Vlad was our helpful salesperson who responded to all our inquiries. His team was professional and did a great job. Upon install, I noticed a defect on one of the windows (not their fault). They promptly contacted the manufacturer on our behalf and the issue has been resolved. Would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Bay Area Window Pros (and Felix of course). We got quotes from several bay area installers and these guys are the highest rated for a reason. They had a huge selection of windows (which makes a huge difference — trust me). They seemlessly took care of all the permitting issues, trouble-​shooted ordering issues (caused by my error) quickly and did a fantastic job on the installation. They really know what they are doing.
We are so happy with the finished product that we are bring them back for another project in our house.

Lots of reviewers talk about what a great job these guys do getting new windows. This review is about the great on-​site assessment we had. Vlad took a good look at our window situation. He told us we didn’t necessarily need a window replacement when a (much smaller) repair should do the trick. Vlad was great. Next time I need to get work done on my windows, I will be calling these guys first, and asking for Vlad by name.

Yes the reviews are true they are the best place to get new windows and thanks to them our bedroom and living room are now dry. I got a quote from two locals here in Pacifica one was $ 4K, anther close to $ 3K and they were just under. So I took the bait and the service overall was good, a little strange on the financial transaction side but the windows went in great, fast and the inspection and permit were a breeze. I would use these guys again, I done a lot of windows here on the coast over the last twenty years and the weather just beats them down.
A window TIP: Check your window frames if you can, this will save you multiple $, sometimes they will scam you and take out good frames. I saved $ 20K on one job this way. YES.

Let me preface this review by saying that my girlfriend and I are unabashedly tough customers. I’m an engineer and she’s an interior designer. Together, we make quite a picky customer when it comes to anything involving our new (old) house.
I’ll cut to the chase: Bay Area Window Pros (and Felix specifically) went above and beyond to make sure we were happy customers, every step of the way.
The details: We spent a large amount of time over several visits with Felix (including going to their showroom — highly, highly recommend this to get a real feel for the products they use) before solidifying our order for 15 windows for our old victorian in SF. We went really deep on customization — custom sash heights, divided lights, mix of double hung, awning and casements, and special-​order hardware colors. Felix was helpful through it all and totally open to our desires. I knew we were tough customers, but he never made us feel like we were being «difficult», if you know what I mean.
They were stellar at negotiating with the City to get the proper permits to allow us to replace our front street-​facing windows, even though our upstairs neighbors have not-​to-​code replacements. As anyone in SF knows, this is no small feat. A huge advantage of BAWP is that they have a dedicated guy who spends hours and hours each week at the SF permit office, fighting to get their customers what they want. They totally succeeded in our case.
The install was super smooth. No complaints there.
Even when two of the windows came from the manufacturer with the wrong glass type, BAWP was great at getting Marvin to come out and replace the sashes free of charge and in a timely manner.
The difference in quietness and warmth in our house is amazing. It’s like a whole new house!
I really can’t recommend these guys enough. I really can’t say much more than the fact that they made a picky mechanical engineer and an interior designer totally happy with their products and service. I will definitely be calling them again if we are ever lucky enough to own another property in the Bay!

Super service, been using Bay Area Window Pros for years. I am a Realtor and property manager so I have to answer to my clients when things go wrong or are delayed, with Bay Area Window Pros I don’t have to worry.

Vlad is very knowledgeable and has great customer skills. We got a very good product at a fair price from him (retro fit 6 windows). Michael and Igor showed up exactly at 8am and finished before noon, both of them were also very pleasant and did a very skilled and clean installation. The entire process from ordering, obtaining permit and completion was done quicker than we thought. I would use them again for sure.

I doubt I’m going to say anything new that all the other reviewers haven’t already mentioned about Bay Area Window Pros (BAWP); nonetheless, this review will serve as corroboration about the outstanding work that BAWP does.
To give some context, my wife and I just recently purchased our home in Redwood City and we wanted to upgrade the windows in our house. As such, my wife and I began our search, contacting several window installation companies. Now, some of these companies, who will remain nameless, felt like high-​pressure sales situations (i.e. the discount offered is only valid if you accept that day) or the sales quote taking almost 4 – 5 days to be sent over to us.
We were getting quite frustrated; that is, until we met with Vlad from BAWP. Throughout this whole process, he made everything feel as calm and cool as can be. After taking the measurements of our windows, he proceeded to talk about the different types of windows and sliding doors that they have to offer. He also talked about the pros and cons of each brand as well as helped point out all the subtle differences that might affect a customer’s personal preference.
Although we were still undecided about two brands, Vlad offered to quote us for both brands, within 48 hours. Well, 24 hours hadn’t even passed before Vlad got back to us with the two quotes, both of which were reasonably priced. At that point, my wife and I decided that to go with BAWP as our window installer.
Four weeks later, BAWP called us to let us know that our custom windows (7 windows and 1 sliding door) were ready to be installed. While I have heard that window installation could take maybe 1 to 2 days, our installation took 3 days. Why? Well, that’s because whoever had installed the windows previously did not do a very good job. For example, the previous windows were not all installed at the same height, which meant that the window installation would not have looked uniform or aligned. Also, the old windows were rusted all the way through to its base, which made it difficult to remove. Sergey, the crew chief, really had a field day trying to fix these problems.
All in all, I’m glad that they didn’t try to rush anything. Everything looks so meticulously well done and I’m thrilled to have had BAWP work on our house. If I ever need new windows to be installed, I won’t hesitate to go back to BAWP.

We recently (May/​June 2015) had Bay Area Window Pros install 31 windows and 4 sliding doors; one back door and one atrium door at our house in Hillsborough. I must say that they did a simply outstanding job and we give them a rating of A++ if that is possible.
We worked with Felix to get ideas on how to proceed and the types of choices available. He did a super job guiding us and suggesting a combination of Milgard Fiberglass windows and sliding doors along with top of the line Anlin windows and sliding doors. He set up a tight schedule to get the complete job done, and his installation crew led by Sergei ensured top quality installation, timeliness, proficiency and cleanliness every step of the way. What a team!
Did I mention that his pricing was extremely competitive and he is one of the most honest fellows I have met in a long time! We are very impressed with their quality, delivery, service, total cost and integrity!

Had my windows done in December. Got a great price. Scheduling with Chaz was a little messy. Windows took 5 weeks to come in. They applied for the building permit. Beautiful installation. Took the better part of a day to do 8 large windows. They insulated and chaulked every nook: Even got advice on what to do when I replaced the decorative wood framing on my front windows. Excellent job.
Jump to July and I had a question on a weekend about my window. No answer at the office so I tried another number from their emails. Felix was able to answer my question by looking at pictures I sent him on his cell even though he wasn’t working that day.
And here’s the part that really says they deserve the 5 stars. They called Monday morning to say they missed a call from me over the weekend and was there anything they could help me with. They check their missed calls (no message left) and call you back to see if they can help you. That’s incredible customer service!

Very professional. I am so in love with the windows that I had replaced in my bedroom and hallway. The latches and the construction of the window are sturdy to stand up to the sometimes harsh winds. I can open to ventilate without worrying about the window breaking.
Felix was very helpful in clarifying the many options avaialbe and his team did an excellent job with the install. I’d highly recommend them and will work with them again.

Good price, better quality windows than most for that price, too. Just had our windows done (second time using Bay Area Window Pros.) Installation crew was very tidy, professional and courteous. Salespeople were helpful directing us to the windows that made the most sense for our house without pushing windows that are unnecessarily expensive. They spent a lot of time with us. They even through in some money to have our windows professionally cleaned afterwards! Nice to work with places like this that care about quality service.

These guys handled the windows for 4 rehab projects plus my own home. They do excellent work. I shopped around with most of the major window companies and the prices here were always better. Seriously, if you need windows call them and ask for Felix!

The building inspector came to inspect the six (6) windows I recently replaced. She complimented the workmanship, and asked me who did the work. Nice! Yes, the new Marvin windows are beautiful and I love them.
For whatever reasons, windows are expensive so I had to replace them a few at a time throughout my house. And after 30 years, I was finally ready to replace the big and expensive living room windows and three smaller ones on the ground floor which was put in place when the house was built in 1932. I Unilocaled and called a few companies and received three estimates. At the end I decided to go with Bay Area Window Pros (BAWP) and I am so glad that I did. Felix was a pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end. He was professional, honest, friendly, not pushy or tried to take shortcuts (no permit, partial tempered glasses) like the other sales reps. Felix also was willing with work with me on the pricing so that the project could be done within my budget.
The day of the installation, Felix stop by to make sure that everything was on track. His crew led by Hector was on time, efficient, precise and got the windows installed in a day. It was apparent to me that they are experienced installers and they paid attention to details during installation and cleaned up well afterward.

It’s been about a year since I had my windows installed. I wanted to write my review during the winter to see if having double paned windows really helped on keeping the cold out. Even though this winter has been relatively warm, there have been some really chilly night in early December. We nearly froze to death in the house and having our windows updated probably helped a little but not significantly enough to have made a difference.
The vinyl windows in the back of the house work great; I have no issues with them. The front of the house, according to SF laws, have to be wood. They have to be treated by the customer with a water seal so they don’t develop mold. I went out and bought some sealant, applied a coat, sanded, applied another coat. After applying the first coat I realized how stupid this was sealing the wood AFTER the windows were installed. It would have made much more sense to have this applied before all of the hardware was attached to the frame. I understand this gives the customer freedom to choose what color they want to paint the frame but there should be an option to have it done prior.
I was also under the impression that there wouldn’t be any water condensation build up on the windows. I had that problem with my old single pane windows and made sure to specifically ask that question. I haven’t notice it happening in the back of the house but in the front, with the wood windows I have noticed it significantly. My bedroom windows actually started to mold a little and I had to retreat them again.
Otherwise the initial experience was pleasant. Felix made the process easy and made great suggestions. Customer service was great and even our building inspector who came by after to check the work said this is a good company. I love the way our windows push out and look a little different then the other ones in my neighborhood.
