Oxi Fresh of Burke Carpet Cleaning

I scheduled a clean for my whole house as we were moving out; the timing was essential because we had to have everything done by a certain date. OxiFresh never showed up or called. One hour past the appointment time, I called them; the receptionist was nice and said she had called both the owner and the technician but they had not answered. She took my number and said they would call me back. An hour later — still nothing. Called again, no answer. Again, no answer. The third retry call I left a message. Two hours later, the receptionist calls me back with no recollection of our prior conversation. By this point I had already called Stanley Steemer and they were there (SAME DAY!) cleaning. I bought a Unilocal deal to partially pay for this — that’s $ 25 flushed down the toilet. The kicker is that three days later I get an email from OxiFresh saying that I had cancelled my appointment, and two days after that I get a Customer Satisfaction survey request. Wow. If I could give 0 starts, I would.

They cleaned two of my couches. I bought them from a resale shop and it had a lot of dog hair, so they tidy them up. They looked and smelt great! :)

Oxi Fresh has been my go-​to carpet cleaner for several years. Recent experiences, unfortunately, have me looking for a new company. Approximately six months ago, the cleaning technician arrived over an hour late and then left our carpets and upholstery much wetter and less clean than previous technicans had done. It took several days for our carpets and upholstery to dry and they didn’t seem particularly clean once they had.
Given previous positive experiences, and figuring that negative one was a fluke, I scheduled the same services with them again for today. When making the appointment, I emphasized that I would appreciate a call if the appointment time was going to change at all, as I would be leaving work in order to get home to meet the cleaning technician. The appointment was for 11:30. I received a call from the technician just five minutes before then, saying he would be an hour and a half late, due to a more– complicated-​than-​foreseen job with an earlier customer.
While I completely understand how circumstances can change, I do not feel it is good customer service to notify affected customers so belatedly. Oxi Fresh could easily have alerted me (as I had requested and the appointment scheduler had promised) when they first realized that the other job was going to take longer than expected. Failing to do so leaves me with less confidence in them. I should note that they did offer me a 10% discount, but for me, that small discount wouldn’t make up for my lost time and altered schedule. I cancelled the service and will be looking to schedule with another.

They showed up an hour late to my appointment. Once they arrived, however, they did a great job cleaning the carpet.

Don’t recommend. I called and the appointment was promptly scheduled. The lady who scheduled was professional. There were big stains in the basement and i asked him if it would come off. He said he would try. He finished 4 rooms and stairs in less than 50 minutes. The stain in the basement came out not completely but looked so much better. But there were couple stains in the basement i thought he should have taken out but wasn’t. I asked him to retry and because he put he equipment into his car, he complained and said it wouldn’t come out. The lady at the office said it was 100% satisfaction guaranteed and they will redo until I’m happy. When i reminded him of this, he (his name was Fernando) started screaming at me. I got so upset at his behavior, i called the office and complained. The lady now wont acknowledge the satisfaction guaranteed promise. I said i want him to try one more time then i won’t complain if the stain doesn’t come off. She spoke to Fernando and he complains but eventually he got the equipment and retried. I only asked him to remove the stains in the bedroom, but he worked on the big stains in the basement again. Well, the big stain which i was fine with his 1^st cleaning got so much cleaner. And he was able to remove the two stains i asked to retry. At the end, I’m happy with the results. Will i use again? NO. Fernando was so unprofessional and he screamed at me when i nicely asked him to retry. I don’t know why he is still working there. I see complains about him in other reviews too. He also charged extra for walk in closet. It was a small WI closet but he said it is a small room.

Found this business on Unilocal and decided to book an appointment based on the reviews. The cleaner who came to my home was named Adeel K and he was very professional and nice. The process took about an hour. Prices and communication were consistent throughout the entire process (from booking to my home). The service and results I received were great, I would definitely recommend!

I was quoted $ 207 for a sofabed and two chairs. I bought the Unilocal deal for $ 150 for $ 200 worth of services. When the guys comes he said I had a sectional which would cost $ 90 more. I ended up paying $ 50 because the sofa had a chais and did not have the pull out portion of my sofa cleaned — even though I described this to the person I spoke to on the phone who gave me a quote. It sucks being uncharged for surprises when they are in your home. After the service I was emailed and asked for feedback to which I have not received a response. I personally will shop around more next time before thinking of using Oxi Fresh Arlington again.

After getting a recommendation from a friend and doing a little online research, I was pumped to try Oxi Fresh carpet cleaning. Who hasn’t experienced the wonders of Oxyclean-​style products at home so why not try them on the floors at our newly-​purchased house?
We had nothing but great experiences since then. We have used them 3 times at 6 – 8 month intervals. We have never had specific spot cleaning issues like large, noticeable stains to contend with, but the normal wear and tear of a carpet in a house with an active family (and 2 cats).
One of the best aspects of the system is that it dries so quickly. Unlike other carpet cleaning companies that take forever to dry and leave the house smelling like chemicals, it dries quickly (30 minutes or so) and is virtually odorless.
The service technician is always prompt and on time. They give you a specific time that they will be there (12PM for example) rather than a range (12−2PM) which anyone with a busy schedule can appreciate.
To get the most bang for your buck, vacuum the carpet yourself prior to the technician arriving. We also move any small furniture to an uncarpeted area so that they don’t have to move it around. They generally run specials on their website for 3 room deals and be sure to take the survey as you get a $ 25 off your next service coupon.

I was very impressed with the service I received. Oxi Fresh did everything right and it was a very professional experience. The staff that I worked with Adeel Kamran was very thorough and professional. I even made a goof where I had left my keys to the house I was moving out of back at my new place, 30 minutes away. Adeel was very professional and decided he would wait around as I did the one hour round trip. It was a big deal that he was able to do that. Also the results of the cleaning are amazing the carpet became much more vibrant, I’m very happy with the experience.

Aleel was very helpful and did a thorough job cleaning the carpets. I will use Oxi Fresh again. It does not take long for the carpets to dry.

I would actually give no stars if that was possible. I cannot vouch for the quality of work because at 8:55 this morning I got a call that OxiFresh would be late for my 9:00 appointment. Me: How late? Caller: I have no idea as my technician is late and I can’t reach him by phone.
Never mind that I took the morning work and made sure I was ready by removing all items from my floors.

Lance, the owner of this store, was the person cleaning my carpets. Not only he was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to really care about my carpet, but he answered all of my questions, met my needs (carpet had a bunch of stains because of my dog), and gave me the best advice for treatment that will be reasonable for my budget. He even gave me free detergent to clean my carpets in case they get wine spots.
The customer service was amazing and I must admit, it exceeded my expectations.
I was very impressed from the moment he called me to notify me he will be arriving a little bit late due to traffic until the moment he left the door!!! That to me is a sign that customers come first. Lance was friendly, professional, and very informative.
He did a thorough cleaning and even gave me advice on future upkeep of my carpet.
I am extremely pleased and happy with their service and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anybody. I’ve used Oxi Fresh before, and they are a franchise, but the owners in Alexandria provided me with a service of excellence that I will definitely use in the future.

Lance at Oxi Fresh did an incredible job with our carpets. We have roughly 2000sf of wall-​to-​wall carpeting in the apartment we were renting in Rosslyn, and after 7 – 8 years of a running lease, the carpet was not in good shape. I was certain the leasing office would have to rip up the carpet and put in a new one. The carpet was beige to begin with, but some of the high traffic areas (namely near the doors) were literally BLACK from dirt, and what I learned from Lance to be oils that track in from the street and water stains. Anyway, after Lance was done, the carpets were brand new (mind you, we’ve had «regular» carpet cleaners come every other year since we moved in, never with results anything close to this).
A couple things I really liked about the service:
— Lance fully understood the science behind the various products he was using, and the mechanics of carpet cleaning itself. He also took the time to educate us about it all. He was even able to guess what specific products we were using to treat carpet stains based on how stains reacted to his treatment.
— Lance was very passionate about what he did, and takes extreme pride in his work. It was clear that he gets a lot of pleasure from seeing how good he can make a carpet look.
— Ease of scheduling: I had to reschedule my initial appointment, and then at the last minute, move my rescheduled appointment back a few hours. They were very accommodating.
— Cost comparable or cheaper than other carpet cleaners
— They use a fraction of the water that normal shampooers use. On our place, Lance used a total of 1.5 gallons, whereas a Stanley Steamer might use 30 – 50 gallons (Lance can tell you why using so much water is actually worse for stains, smells, and general cleaning). The end result is the carpets were dry to walk on within an hour. Some parts were already dry by the time Lance finished.
I would definitely recommend these guys. I’ve already recommended them to close friends. Really a stellar service.

I am very happy with the carpet cleaning that was done to my new condo before the big move in! He was prompt and courteous, also a small business owner which was also very awesome. The carpet was expertly done and will definitely use Oxi Fresh again! Professional, prompt, and thorough! Since it was a foreclosure, it looks so brand new like the day the original home owner did her first walk through! Definitely will use Oxi again when I move out of my apartment!

I used Oxi Fresh to clean the rugs in an apartment I was doing a lease transfer on. The rugs hadn’t been cleaned in four years and had dark dirt spots and areas that had stains. The technician was able to remove almost all the stains and the rugs looked great afterwards.
I would book with Oxi Fresh again but I am giving them 4 stars because they moved me time two times before calling me the day of my appointment and confirming a time. The cleaning also cost me $ 60 more than the estimated cost because they needed to use extra spot cleaners but it was worth it for the final product.

Very happy with my Oxi Fresh experience. From the first phone call until they left my home, they were awesome. They are clearly dedicated to making a great customer experience.
I had a basement to be done that had multiple dog pee stains and they had been there for a long time. I had another carpet cleaner in a few months earlier and while they appeared to be gone, as soon as the carpet dried they were back.
Oxi Fresh got them all out and the carpet looks almost like new. The carpets dry in no time at all as they use some sort of chemical process rather than dumping water all over and sucking it back up.
Apparently there are coupons all over the place which I overlooked. However I will say even at full price, they are well worth it.

I had my one bedroom apartment and my boyfriend had his 2 bedroom apartment cleaned the same day by the Oxi Fresh team. They did superior job than any other carpet cleaning I have had before and I had many… The carpets were like new and as promised dried super fast. Also the everyone from Oxi Fresh was very sweet, I was at home cleaning my kitchen while they were cleaning the carpets. I am very pleased with Oxi Fresh and will use them again in the future for sure. Highly recommend for affordable and very high quality carpet cleaning.

We had a good experience with Oxi Fresh. We learned about them through a coupon we received in the mail and used them for a move out carpet cleaning as required by our landlord. They were also on the list of suggested vendors from our management company. We selected them because they were reasonably priced and used non-​toxic cleaning supplies. Before they came, I was beginning to get worried about the fact that our place was on the top floor of a four floor building, but their supplies and equipment were easily portable.
They showed up early and waited for me to arrive at the scheduled time. They did exactly as I asked. I pointed out the stains that I planned for «spot» treatment. I left the unit early before they were done and they locked up afterward. This was my first experience with carpet cleaners so I was not expecting how long it would take. It was not excessive, but just longer than I expected. They needed to mix the chemicals using the bathtub and then needed to wait 15 minutes between the two applications.
Overall, I would use Oxi Fresh again and would recommend them to others.

I bought a Living Social coupon for two rooms of cleaning and I intend to use this company again. They were able to get the cleaning scheduled in a couple of days, were friendly and professional and helpful. Great results and I don’t have to worry about the chemicals.
