This is restaurant follows the trends of many Teriyaki shops aprons burien in offering a free soup with the meal, offering Korean and Chinese dishes, and having a large selection of Teriyaki products. What I like about this location more than the other ones is that the food tastes a lot better here! The Korean food is authentic(the owners are Korean) and the teriyaki is not over sauced and the side salad is not soggy. They even offer you a free soda(not sure if that’s the same for dine in because I usually order to go). Overall this is how teriyaki restaurants should be, fast, friendly, and tasty

This is my favorite teriyaki place near my home. I love that they don’t drench the chicken I’m teriyaki sauce, in fact the don’t even put it on unless you ask. They get 4 stars from me just for that. Other than that it’s teriyaki. Great portions. It’s actually what we decide on when we’re on a budget for dinner. 3 chicken teriyaki meals feeds all 5 of us. (3 kids)

I’ve been here a few times in the past. However, this is my first time here in the summer. I’m saying this only because during dinner, I found an ant in the salad of my chicken teriyaki, an ant in the miso soup and my girlfriend found a few in her beef udon soup. Probably has to do with the weather being warm. The food was good,(I’ve had better) but I’m giving a 2 star due to this uncleanness. I couldn’t finish my food and my girlfriend had to force her soup down. We didn’t bother complaining I’m pretty sure the workers know about their ant infestation. This will be the last time I’m coming here. I don’t mean to be a jerk complaining about some ants in my food but if I’m paying for it, I’d prefer not to have extra little critters floating around in it, dead or alive.

I come here with my coworkers and the food is never great… Buxx Teriyaki is way better. Their rice never seems fresh, the chicken teriyaki is nothing I care to eat again. I went again today against my better judgment cause my coworker said someone new owns it … same food

*Writing this as I sit in 90 degree weather in front of the restaurant while I watch my boyfriend change his car battery. LOL. Yay me. I’m sweating like crazzzzyyyyy. I’ve been to many other teriyaki joints between the cities. I’ve also eaten at this particular place several times and as far as short ribs go, this place offers the most delicious ones out of all of them! The meat is just incredibly juicy and offers the right amount of flavor without making your taste buds cringe. The rice is fresh and not gross and dry! The salad is just whoa. This place brings back old memories especially for those that grew up in the Burien/White Center area because you see pictures posted on the wall! The restaurant is very clean and well maintained for not being a fine dining establishment! On top of that, there’s many sauces placed on the table for your purpose. There’s FREE miso soup available — YESFREE& complimentary water that doesn’t taste like soap! The old woman who rang us up was very friendly. When my boyfriend and I came in after getting my nails done, we decided to dine inside. I had a fantastic time because a bird somehow made its way in the restaurant and was flying around like crazy and all I did was simply open the door & out it went. Poor thing… Hahahahahhahahahh. She called me smart afterwards TROLOL. Good job Toshi’s! :) Will be coming back next time I do my nails!

I go grocery shopping every other week at Fred Meyers, and every time I do, I come here afterwards. None other than their friendly service and mega-addictive chicken has kept this ritual alive for two years now. My 8 year old stops crying when I tell him that we are coming here!

For the most part, this is your standard teriyaki joint. Decent prices. Though up charges for spicy and fried rice. The fried rice is above par and done well, I recommend putting up the extra $ 2. Portion size will fill you up. The pile of short ribs I got was very nice! Curious though why at noon on a Friday there was little traffic here and only a couple others diners… I can see where some would find the little old lady behind the counter a bit abrasive, but she is an older Japanese lady… aren’t they supposed to be? It was entertaining listening her talk to herself and grunt and groan while cleaning up after a small family had been thru. Couldn’t understand a word she was saying, but I was sure to leave my table in good order lol.

The lady at the register was very cold and rude. My chicken was dry and burnt. It was cheap but I’d rather pay twice as much to be treated better and have food.

Very large portion. Fair price! But it takes a looooong time to get our food. We have been waiting for 21 minutes for 2 orders of regular chicken teriyaki and nothing yet :(

Great food but the lady at the register made me feel unwelcome, she seemed angry and was pretty rude when talking to me. Don’t know if I’ll be going back because of that.

A great local place with good food. I usually just go back because of the owners. Big portions, smiles, and a hug is why I go back when I get the chance.

I love this place. It’s a little hole in the wall in the corner of the Fred Meyer parking lot. The have about 6 tables to eat at but the food is most excellent. I am a fan of the combo Teriyaki and Orange Chicken. It comes with rice and a salad for about 9 bucks. Awesome deal. My wife loves the Tempura Shrimp. I always know where to stop for a good meal on the less expensive side when the funds are running low. Come here!

Different feller at the counter this time… very friendly smiled took my order… I’m just sitting waiting for it to arrive… everything was consistent taste smell service EXCEPT! the damn love tester says I’m a 90 now… I guess I could have lost some passion in a week… or WAIT maybe that’s why the terriyaki is so good… that machine steals your passion and they put it into the food! Cheers mates ! Haha

LOVETHISPLACE! My wife and I go here all the time, as she works next door so we meet for her lunch breaks. The food is delicious, the lady at the counter is very friendly and always talks to us about how we’ve been doing, etc. etc. The food is cooked and served relatively quickly and the prices are very fair. This isn’t a fine dining establishment, but it is a great place to eat and hang out. Highly recommend!

Not going to spend a ton of time on this one but… Its just excellent Teriyaki. The best I have had in b-town by a long shot. The chicken was all white breast meat and lots of it. Easily double what I have had from other Teriyaki joints. Cooked well and very fresh. Comes with side salad IN A SEPARATECONTAINER which is very important for the lettuce and cabbage to stay crisp. If I had one issue with this place its a subjective one. I’m a guy who likes a thicker, sweeter teriyaki sauce slathered on my chicken and rice and here the sauce more thin. Think the same consistency as soy sauce, but with teriyaki flavoring. Can’t knock ‘em for that though. Finally, its ran by: gasp: real Japanese people! Ok ok, some of you might think its bad taste to point this out, but we all know that 9 out of 10 Teriyaki places aren’t Japanese owned or operated… — Arigatōgozaimasu

In the words of Rachel Ray YUMMO! This Toshi’s is the best ever… the owners are great and they keep their establishment clean and they bring your food to your table if you choose to eat in. The food portions are HUGE! And the salad dressing is to die for! Head to Burien and shop at Fred Meyers and then grab a bite of teriyaki at Toshi’s you won’t be sorry… Oh yeah and they always have a news paper on hand to read while eating which is a bonus as well =o)
