My son has taken ACT prep lessons from Pam. She is extremely patient, encouraging and relates very well to the student. My son has received many helpful hints that will hopefully help him with the test. He is taking the test in a week. We highly recommend Pam if your child needs help with the SAT/​ACT test prep.

Pam has been so helpful. In critical reading and writing, I went from getting around four questions wrong to almost none. In math, where my only mistakes were stupid ones, she had suggestions for how to avoid even those! I just got a 2350 on my first SAT ever, and much of that score is because of her.

As a parent, I am extremely pleased with Pam’s tutoring. She tailors each session to what my daughter, Kristina, needs so she doesn’t waste her time on subjects she has already mastered. Pam gives very gentle and thorough explanations. Kristina now understands grammar rules that weren’t clear previously and is getting 100% on the grammar section of the verbal practice tests. Kristina said that whenever she misses a question, Pam explains it in a way that makes sense to her and helps her understand the reasoning behind why she missed it initially. She also loves having a writing coach for the essays. I highly recommend The Burbank Tutor for coaching writing and increasing test scores.

Our son received the best test prep tutoring from Pam. she is attentive, intelligent and very proactive in the entire tutoring process. The individual attention to our son’s needs were outstanding. She guided him and encouraged him in his prep for the ACT. We also trusted her advice in her suggestion of taking the ACT as opposed to the SAT. She felt our son would test better with the ACT with his given skill set and his aptitude for prepping for the big test. A couple of years ago Pam tutored me for the ACT and SAT and let me just say she is an awesome tutor. She is very kind and very understanding and she makes sure you understand what she has taught you before moving on to the next step. She was also VERY helpful in proofreading and editing my personal statement.
Today I am a student at UC Davis which has always been my dream school. She helped me so much to get into this school and she is a major reason why I am here and for that I thank her and I highly recommend her as a tutor and as an essay specialist =)
