I have been seeing Dr. Onkels regularly for over 5 years now and I can honestly say that I look forward to our visits everytime. I feel great after our sessions and my back definitely thanks him. Both Mike and Evelyn are warm and caring and they take time treating my symptoms. They are also very accommodating and will work with me to fit my busy schedule. I couldn’t ask for better care, and I highly recommended this place to anyone who needs a GOOD adjustment.

Dr Onkels and his staff are great! I really needed a great chiropractor in Burbank to help me with my lower back and shoulder pain Ive been experiencing from my work and driving too much. Dr. Onkels is absolutely amazing! And his wife is super awesome as well. They have helped my son so much. I took him there when my baby was just a few days old. They adjusted him together and really spent time with us. I didn’t feel rushed in and out like several other chiropractors I’ve been to in the past. He is also trained to work with newborns and has been great with my son and helping him with some digestive issues. Highly recommended.

These two truly are the Chiropractic power house couple! I have been seeing Dr. Mike for the past 7 years and Dr. Evelyn for 3 years before that. They are beyond professional, knoledgable and really have a caring attitude with their patients. I have TMJ and they really help me with pain that can start in my jaw and travel down my back. Their staff is super nice and attentive. I am, and will be their patient for life! This isn’t just a doctors office, its a home!

You can even spend time in a super high-​quality massage chair before or after your visit!
I used Dr. Mike specifically as my personal chiropractor. He takes care of the various issues that pop up in my skeleto-​muscular system, and keeps me aligned and flexible.
The Drs. have a variety of products to help with you with your body, from free Kangen water being dispensed to homeopathics that help keep you calm. Mike and Eveline care very much about your body, and stress a fully holistic approach to health that will aid you and your whole family.

I’ve had massage here too from one of the affiliated bodywork therapists and it was nicely priced and very effective.

I found Onkels Chiropractic using Unilocal (thank god for Unilocal!) It turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made to visit them for not only my health but also my peace of mind. I often get a stiff neck from being stressed out or get a pinched nerve from sleeping in a wrong position. A few months ago I had a stiff neck, excruciatingly painful, and worse than I had ever previously experienced. Usually I just shrug it off and hope the pain will subside and eventually go away, however this time I was scared because It was difficult for me to lift my head and get out of bed. Eventually I got out of bed, it was difficult for me to do my daily tasks — also had a hard time driving.
The first day I got there, Dr. Onkels immediately realized how much pain I was having. She asked me what my pain level was. I believe I said an 8 on a scale of 10. The first thing Dr. Onkels explained was «my goal for today is to relieve you of your pain, maybe not totally, but get you to a place where you can feel comfortable and get you to be able to perform each daily task.» Not that I didn’t believer her, but I was hoping that she would be able to do just that, to stop the pain. By the time my appointment ended, I was able to move my neck with a greater range of motion and substantially much less pain. I love that she set out a goal, was confident about it and made it happen! You better believe I came back multiple times to follow through with treatment. The thing I appreciated most is that she takes the time to explain what she’s doing and how it affects my health and body. I also appreciate that she and I believe in the approach to health and wellness in a holistic way. They don’t just treat the problem at hand, they look at the body as a whole and figure out how they can best serve you to make you heatlhy and happy. It’s not often you come across a practice that walk their talk, but Onkels Chiropractic does!

In this day of quick and easy fixes, Dr. Mike always takes his time and does not charge extra for adding a hot or cold pack, electro-​stimulation or other cool, mod techniques.
He listens, rubs, adjusts and advises and soothes. Dr. Mike also has training in working with TMJ (the tooth-​grinding and clenching joint) and will actually put on a glove and adjust the upper palate. It’s amazing relief.
This week, I hurt my back somewhere between lifting lighting equipment, playing tennis and leaning over to speak quietly to a hypnosis client. I was seriously out of alignment and tense. Now that I’m adjusted, I can relax and let go of the pain, knowing I’ve heard its warning.
