Sunday hours posted on the door and online are 12 – 3 PM. It’s 12:21 PM Sunday right now and it’s closed. Wish I hadn’t made the trip.

After breaking one of my car keys I found this place here on Unilocal and figured I’d go here instead of my normal shop because it was closer at the time.
The man that helped me, who I presumed was the owner, was super attentive as well as super fast at assessing the situation since the key that I was getting copied was a copy and one of my key slots was giving me trouble.
After figuring out what was what he made me two copies just as I asked and sent me on my way just as fast as I could pull my money out to pay him.
This place is quick and efficient, I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone that needs replacements.

Lifesavers! Locked my entire family out of the house and we were back inside within 15 minutes thanks to John! I was anticipating an afternoon stressed out, waiting and then paying an arm and a leg, but that was definitely not the case. Fast, friendly, and fairly priced. Will use them again when the time comes, which is inevitable.

I took my car in to replace my ignition cylinder and he fixed it up really quickly! Have a lot of respect for honest locksmiths. This guy is great!!!

I got locked out of my house like a goober and they came and got me back in. While they were here, they also changed a lock I wanted to have changed. It all cost less than I had anticipated and the majority of the cost was the service call, which I get. I’ve also been into the location before to have keys made and they were prompt and courteous. I gave four stars only because it took them MUCH longer to get to me than promised (they said within 30 minutes. It was closer to 75). The service guy explained what happened when he got here, and it was an understandable delay but I wish someone had thought to call and update me as I was ostensibly just sitting outside my house waiting.

Went in to have a key copied. He took it over to the machine while I opened up my wallet to grab a few bills. By the time I had them out, he was back. I was amazed.
Me: «No way. You are not done already…»
Him: «That’s what my wife says.»
Or maybe he said «girlfriend», in case he’s not actually married and you ladies are looking for a super efficient locksmith who just might hold the key to your heart (HAAA!!!). Alright, that was supposed to be a corny joke but I guess it just sounded really creepy and homo.

Quick and efficient. Ran in, got a key made for about $ 3 and ran out. The owner (I assume it was the owner) was nice and even made a cute joke. I parked right out front, as there is 10 minute parking right in front of the store. Key works well with no problems.

Less than 2minutes, under 5 bucks… & I left with the two copies I needed. He was so nice, that he made one key silver & the other gold so I could tell the difference without buying covers for them. The shop is also conveniently located & parking is easy to find on Magnolia or off the side streets. Highly recommend.

Great service. Took my key/​fob in to get the blade made and fob programmed for a duplicate and works perfectly. Was in and out in 15 minutes. Great pricing too! Highly suggest.

Saw the good reviews on Unilocal and went in to this place yesterday to have a car key replaced. Apparently, there is a chip in my car key that makes it more expensive to duplicate.
I spoke with one of the locksmith and he said it would cost me $ 135 to duplicate the key. After the work was done, he charged me $ 145. I said, that includes the tax right because you said $ 135 before the work began? He replied, no, the $ 135 price was for cash, since you are going to use your card, it is $ 145. After tax, I paid around $ 155 for the duplicate key.
This was a detail that he left out during our conversation and had me pissed off as to the type of BS tactic he uses to get an extra few dollars from his customers.
I will never use this place again. Sad, because it looks like he knows what he’s doing but the shady sales tactic is something I’ll avoid from here on out.
By the way, look at the other bad reviews for this locksmith. Seems like the owner’s shady dealings are a common theme. Stay away from this guy.

I recently broke my key in half. I was looking at my one year old daughter in the back yard while I was locking the side door to our garage. When I looked back at the key, I noticed that it was nearly bent off. I guess I should always pay attention to the lock when I am turning the key. Anyway, I tried to bend it back to its straight position, and when I did, the metal became so weak that the bottom portion snapped right off.
So this leads me to Leonard’s Lock and Key. I noticed that they had extremely positive reviews so I decided to use their services. What a great choice I made! I went inside and asked him if he could fix or replace my key. The moment I handed him the key, he was instantly carving away at a new key. In less than two minutes, he handed me the new key. I decided to also buy a colored top for the key so I could easily identify it. The whole fee was a paltry 6 dollars. He was so honest that he mentioned that sometimes the key duplication may not work with broken keys. However, he believed the key that I handed him had a clean break so it should work.
To wrap this review up, I went home, stuck the key in the lock, and PRESTO, the door unlocked.

Really needed a key that was originally duplicated fixed because it did not work. The guy at the counter was super nice. He told me it was a hard key to get right so he adjusted my original one and also gave me 2 others to try. I was so grateful and asked how much but he did not take my money. This is a place that cares about their customers and take pride in their work. They are helpful caring people. I would recommend them highly. A real neighborhood shop.

About two years ago, after finding out how many times, without my knowledge, my daughter had copies made of our house key, I decided to have my door locks rekeyed, and ended up dealing with this local yocal.
After the locksmith had finished with the door locks he asked me how many keys I’d like to have cut for the new locks. I had already given it some thought, and in an attempt to avoid having to go through all of this again, I told him to make me five keys and to stamp «Do Not Duplicate» on to three of them. He told me it would cost an dollar extra for each key that he stamped. I told him that was fine I was just trying to avoid this problem again in the future.
Approximately six months later I notice my daughters keys on the kitchen table, and at the same time I also notice that the «Do Not Duplicate» stamp had been ground off of her house key. I ask her «what’s this all about» and she tells me that she needed to have another key made for our house, for God only knows why now. Then I ask her «well who grounded off the DND stamp off of the key» And she tells me «the guy that made me the new copy of it» Now I’m thinking «Great, here I spend close to a hundred bucks having the locks rekeyed to my house and some knucklehead is out there with absolutely no regard for the DND stamp on the key and making additional copies of it.
So I ask her «Well, who made you the copy of this key?» And she says «Oh that guy at the shop right across the street from the car wash on Magnolia» WHAT!
Wait a minute!
I start at this shop hoping to avoid this problem again later on down the road, and this guy is just casually grinding the «Do Not Duplicate» off of the keys and adding to my troubles. This is very unprofessional and they should know better.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews, frankly. I’m a woman, and I used to go there for work almost monthly. They made me weird keys, 40 keys, anything I asked with a smile. Nice guys, good work. They have tons of accessories too. Perhaps when they moved they hired a slightly rude person, or perhaps customers who go in with a attitude have troubles. But the owner is great, and I never felt slighted in any way. Standing there as often as I did, I heard him solve many difficult problems for people.
For the paranoid, yes, I am a real reviewer, not a relative. It’s a locksmith, not a luxury auto dealership. I don’t expect anything but quality keys.

What more can you say the only thing missing is Wi-​Fi. Every time I come in here I need a lock extra key copy key they are always here and ready to answer the phone. In minutes you’ll be out of here I’m ready to open up my doors etc

This business duplicates car keys that have a chip in them, and having them make duplicates would be a LOT less expensive than ordering them through a car dealer. My vehicle is a 2005 Ford E-​250 cargo van. When I bought it a month ago, it came with one set of keys.
Naturally, I assumed the ignition key had a chip in it. So I called up the shop and was told to bring the van, which I did. I handed the man the keys and he immediately said: «There’s no chip in this, this is an ordinary key.» What? I thought all ignition keys had chips by now. «Not all of them,» he replied.
«In that case, duplicate each.» About two minutes and $ 11 later, I was on my way. I tested both keys in the locks and ignition. Perfect. Service doesn’t get any better or more competent than that.
