I’ll give them the benefit if the doubt and say that I misunderstood how their billing pollicy works, but when I called in to clear up the confusion I was treated with no respect. If you don’t mind being treated as a dollar sign, this is the service for you.

I tried out face2face for the month of November and in that month, face2face booked me four times, two of those four bookings were jobs that I texted them, requesting that they submit me. So really they only booked me two times on their own initiative. In the same time period, I booked myself four times with Central Casting just by calling in to available projects, so I know that their was work available that they just weren’t submitting me for.
I spoke to other background actors, and a clear divide seemed to come up. African American women seem to be booked less through face2face than our Caucasian counterparts. Maybe there is less work available for background actors in that category, but I was able to book parts on my own twice as much as they were, so I think they may have too many people to represent in that category.
I was planning on staying with them in December, just to give them another month, when one encounter with Mike totally soured my experience with them. I was booked on a project that I was uncomfortable performing. I called to let them know and said that I would let the casting director know as well. Mike proceeded to attempt to bully me into taking the project, claiming that I may be blacklisted from the casting service if a refuse to work. The call got heated and he claimed he was just cautioning me, but his tone was clear, he was annoyed and trying to scare me into accepting work that I was uncomfortable performing.
I just want to add that my experience with staff members at face2face up until that point had only been pleasant and personable. The staff’s demeanor is the reason why I wanted to give them another month despite the fact they had charged me $ 65 and only booked me twice in one month. But, that encounter with Mike just made it clear that I was not a priority or an asset to their company. In fact, when I called back to cancel the service, Mike said «good, I’m happy» and hung up before I could thank them for the work this past month. Not cool or professional.

Love this company. I had heard great things via word of mouth from other extras on set, and it’s proven true. Everyday I make myself available on their calendar, I work. Big props to Eden, Mike, and Stephanie for their hard work and professionalism. As a non-​Union extra, it’s a good bang for your buck.

Didn’t have a great experience with Face2Face. Only stayed with them for about 15 days. In the course of those 15 days, they:
— Provided me with the wrong time for a fitting — Central Casting swears it was one time, and Face2Face swore they gave me the time Central told them. It messed up my day; I had to spend hours waiting to be fitted and missed an important appointment. And I understand that miscommunications/​mistakes happen. But when I emailed in (nicely) to tell them about what happened, there was no accountability taken, no apologies, and they said they’d look into it but never got back to me.
— Didn’t let me know about a possible recall day (which turned into another day on set). All the other extras knew so it must have been communicated by Central. The first I heard from them about it was the night before; they texted saying that I was expected on set the next day. No prior warning that this even had a chance of happening. I had actually been booked on an (unrelated) night shoot on the recall day, having led me to think my day was open (recalls take priority so they cancelled me on that).
— Sent me a June invoice for $ 65, when it only should have been $ 30 because I had joined mid-​May and paid the full $ 65. Must have been a mistake, but I’d prefer to not constantly have to be on my toes making sure I’m paying the right price.
Btw, I decided not to renew my membership for June because the the above two events. I explained my reasons but got no response; they just said they were taking me off. Even though I had paid a full month’s rate, I was only good for the rest of May (I registered mid-​May). I could have stayed for another month and gotten that reduced rate of $ 30 (assuming I called them on their incorrect invoice) but by this point I decided I didn’t want to give them anymore money. Some might say I’m being nit-​picky but if I’m paying $ 65 a month I don’t want to have to worry about not getting communicated important information.

Face 2 Face Management bettered my life by increasing my bank account balance. Not only have they been professional but extremely friendly and at every opportunity went above and beyond. I am receiving so much more than my monthly fee, even during the «slow» periods I am being booked days ahead of time, I have worked with exceptional production companies and had a better experience than I ever thought imaginable. Rating Face 2 Face Management at 5stars is the least that I can do to show my appreciation. They deserve and have earned this review, my business all all the referrals that I can send to them.

I’m torn. Although I did receive fairly good service for the few months I was with face2face, the way things ended was extremely unprofessional. I had to cancel a job that I was booked for, and wrote a very kind message, apologizing profusely for having cancelled and even put ‘I understand if this results in termination of my contract with you.’ I thanked them for their hard work and simply asked about (not for) the possibility of receiving a refund for the entire month of April for which I wasn’t booked once. They state in their contract that you pay $ 65 up front at the beginning of each month and if you’re booked less than twice (i.e. zero or once) they will only charge you $ 10, refunding you the extra $ 55. Not only did Mike tell me off just short of profanity, but he refused to refund me for the month of April. This is a violation of their contract, and now I’m out $ 55. Again, I wouldn’t have written this review if he had simply said my contract was terminated. I’m writing a review because of how he terminated my contract. He was beyond rude and unprofessional. Definitely not the kind of people you want representing you.

Face2Face management, you guys are awesome! 1^st off, the convienance is something I love. All the registration process is done online! No going to orientations, photo taking, or anything like that. It’s all done from the comfort of your home. Mike and Eden are very nice and helpful, and answer all questions asked right away. As far as getting booked goes, this is my first week with them and they have booked me every day I’m available! Thanks guys!

Ive only been with them for less than a week but I can already tell how great of a company they are. Eden is awesome, quick to answer emails and as helpful as can be! Also polite and sweet as possible! Such a drastic difference from the other larger call in services ive been with that treat their clients like garbage. So glad I decided to give it a go with face2face!

I’ve been with Face2Face for 6 months now and have absolutely no complaints. My main point of contact has been Eden from the beginning and she is extremely genuine and professional. Eden and Mike truly work for you as oppose to some calling services who make it seem like you work for them. The online availability calendar is the most convenient and easiest form of controlling your availability throughout the week/​month and every time I have a question or concern about anything I email them and they always get back to me within minutes, no matter how late I contacted them. Definitely the best calling service!

I could not be happier with Face2Face Management. They have been very professional and fair. Every Face2Face member I’ve met on set has had nothing but positive things to say about the service. Eden and Mike are truly wonderful people to work with. Absolutely love the online scheduling. It is quick and easy, and If I do for some reason need to speak on phone, they are always available. GREAT PEOPLE.

In the last three years F2 °F has been an outstanding calling service for me. They are professional yet personable, fair and reasonable. The online/​text communication system that they have in place is very effective and user friendly. If for some reason I need to reach them over the phone, they’re always available and proactive. As a union member I’m glad to be working steadily through F2 °F. Even during the hiatus they reach out to the smaller casting services as well as Central Casting to keep me working. I’ve personally heard background casting people say positive things about F2 °F so I know I’m being represented fairly. F2 °F simply works for me.

I know some people get booked a lot with one service and not booked enough with another… different calling services provide different experiences for different people and what’s great for one person might be horrible for another person.
Face 2 face might be great for some… but what really pestered me was that they didn’t book me once in the entire 3 months I was with them. They didn’t offer to refund my services and instead offered a reduced rate, and I stupidly accepted that rate because I wanted to earn my money back… at the same time, I was booking myself through central and I was calling mike and eden with tips and leads in hopes they’d get the clue and book me on shows that I’ve never had trouble getting booked on before. I called them with a lead once and they didn’t know who the casting director was so they refused to help out…
Really wish I could get my money back. But I guess they demand you pay for their services regardless of whether they provide them or not. I’m entirely to blame because I never asked to meet them. My previous calling services were getting me booked, but an acquaintance had recommended that I join face 2 face because she said she gets books everyday so I’m sure it’s great for some people… unless my friend was boasting… which could be the case.
1. Really wish they were more «face 2 face» — meetings, texts or tweets about their day in the office– they don’t meet with you before you join, they don’t send updates or ask about your availability, they aren’t personal and if you don’t contact them, you don’t hear from them for days. The only time they contact you is to send you a invoice to pay for their services.
2. They don’t take an interest in booking you. Doesn’t seem like they’re trying very hard.
There are plenty of honest reputable calling services out there, cut above, booked, extras… join them before you join face to face. I thought a smaller company would mean more attention… it just means that half the casting directors have no clue who they are when you name drop them. Stay away from this calling service.

I’ve been working as a background actor for spare money for several years and have been with Face2Face for the last year. I won’t name the company that I was with before Face2Face but needless to say I was not happy with them. Face2Face has a smaller roster than the other companies and that gives them the opportunity to focus on me and my work opportunities, rather than just getting lost in a roster of thousands. I’ve spoken to both Mike and Eden on several occasions and they are always more than happy to answer my questions regarding bookings. I’ve found that being proactive and calling them with leads from Central Casting and asking to be booked has helped me get booked. I’ve recommended them to several of my friends, and now we’re all working regularly so I’d thought I’d extend the recommendation on Unilocal

I met with the man hoping to get management. He spoke so rudely with me, and we met at a coffee house. He basically told me I don’t look good, my pictures are bad, I’m unprepared and unprofessional. I did nothing to him but meet him for a meeting which he asked for at a Starbucks. I was almost crying in the car on my way back. He made me feel worthless and I was very polite with the man.
I am now reading that he charges people? I’m glad he didn’t think I was any good, because he would have ripped me off.
I noticed, after I met with him, and goggled him that he was associated with other scummy people in the industry.

I have been a client of Mike and Eden’s for a year and a half now. They are fair, extremely polite and find me work. Anytime I find something on my own and tell them about it, they are quick to get on the phones and get it for me. I am so blessed to have them in my corner, supporting my career. God Bless them both!

This is a call in service which operates as a scam.
They will charge you $ 65.00 for the month and only find enough work for you to pay them their $ 65.00 then no more work. So basically you are working for free… and probably in the freezing cold rain without any food and without a rest-​room break. That is how I was treated.
This is a horrible call in service and very unprofessional.
They do not answer their phone on the weekend and probably operate out of their house.
Please save your money, time and find a different call in service.
They also accused me of calling them and leaving an «Inappropriate voicemail» I was so nice to them… wtf?
They misrepresent people and clearly do not know the people they are working with.
I should have called them and cussed them out… obviously someone else called them and cussed them out because they feel the same way I do about their scammy… sketchy «services»
Listen IF you want to work on set just join Central Casting or Sande Alessi then LA Casting and submit yourself.
