In & Out Smog Test Only Center

I got just one word to evaluate this place. Excellent !!!
My husband recommended the place to get a Smog Check for my vehicle.
Well I’m so glad he did.
You don’t need to make appointments, I went there during the week but not sure how it gets during the weekends, well this gentleman help us out right away.
No joke it only took them 5 minutes no more than 10 when they were done .
I wasn’t sure if they did the job because I always had to wait 45 minutes for a Smog Check.
The gentleman just told me you car passed and here’s your papers and the the DMV will get the proof.
I was surprised and yet confused but the next day I went to the DMV and I showed them the paper and everything went great.
I will definitely recommend this place.

I was reaching the deadline for my car registration renewal and needed a smog check stat — I arrived at the In & Out Smog Test Center just as it was opening & they checked my car right away. Within 15 mins I was good to go and a quick mention of their Unilocal discount immediately knocked $ 10 off my bill. I will absolutely be coming back here for my next smog test!

AMAZING service!!! Went here at 10am on a Saturday and it took less than 10 min. Extremely courteous/​knowledgeable staff, great prices, convenient location, and they sent the report directly to the DMV. So easy! They also took the Unilocal discount right off of the price easily. Came in early in the morning, they’re super friendly right off the bat and move with a lot of hustle. Great customer service up front. As far as the service actually goes, they’re quick. Like really quick. I highly recommend these guys. Pass or fail, you’ll receive friendly service.

Here for my smog check. Came in 20 minutes before they close. They were very nice even asked me to have a seat inside since it’s windy and drizzling and offered a me water! Talking about customer service, thanks!

Great service — I went on a Saturday and was probably there a total of 20 minutes. Employees were polite and friendly, and the price was really great with the Unilocal deal! I’ll definitely come back.

I’ve been here twice and both time I’ve been treated very kindly, service was shockingly last, and it went so much more smoothly than I had expected.
The last time I showed up 10 minutes before closing and they didn’t ask any questions or make any comments, the guy just kindly let me in. I pulled out a book thinking I’d have time to read, and I feel like by the time I found my place I didn’t even make it a page before my car was ready! So they definitely live up to the name. I’m absolutely going here again!

I know what you’re thinking. «It’s just a smog check, so what’s the big deal»? Most people like me only need a smog check every other year so any old place will do, right? Nope. In & Out Smog Test is the only place to get your check done. I wrote my first review of this place in 2011 after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal.Went back in 2013 and again today for my third check here. It’s all about customer service. This team just makes you feel like the customer really matters. SUPER fast service, clear explanations about the paperwork and no hassle whatsoever. They even offered to move their chairs indoors for me since it was so windy today.
All businesses should take note that THIS is how customer service is done. Sure, it’s only once every couple of years. But how GREAT is this business if people like me are taking the time to write a second review?
Take your car to In & Out Smog Test. Don’t think about it. Just go. You’ll be glad you did!

Pulled in, asked for smog check, staff is extremely friendly and kind: it’s 95 degrees today and he reminded me to grab my iced coffee from the car and offered a seat in the shade.
Checked in here for the $ 10 off smog check and he immediately deducted the price, no hesitation at all. Less than 15 minutes in and out… awesome service! Definitely coming back here for future smog checks.

Background info: Came here with my 18-​year-​old Honda. I failed on one criteria.
Pros:
— If you fail, they explain WHY your car failed clearly and without unnecessary jargon. The tech also suggested I go to a mechanic and get a second opinion on his own diagnosis.
— Very fast service! I was second in line and was done in less than half an hour.
— After I get my car’s issue fixed, I can come back and re-​test and no charge.
Con:
— Only one con, and that’s that there’s no shade in the waiting area. I mean it’s August and it’s 90 out.

Wow. This is one of the easiest consumer experiences I have ever had. Everyone is super nice and has treated me like a valuable customer. The guy even made redeeming the Unilocal check-​in deal for $ 10 off feel remarkably easy. The reviews that led me here did not lie. Love this place.
Side note: I fully intend to eat at Chili John’s across the street next because they have some of the very best chili around. How can two places this great be so close? The world may never know.

We are from out of state and looked on Unilocal for a postive review. We have never had our vehicles smog tested as we are not from this state, and one of our vehicles is pretty old so we were nervous about taking it to a shady business.
We found this one, and I am sitting here now, and the owner is being very nice. He pulled out chairs for us to sit on, gave us our 10 $ off for each vehicle for our check in, and is now quickly checking them out.
I’m paying cash, but I’m pretty sure they take card as well. They charged 50.20 after discount for each vehicle, totaling 100.40.

THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE 15 MINUTES
‘Tis that time of the year, time to register The Box. The state of California requires gas-​powered vehicles that were manufactured in 1976 or later to participate in the biennial smog check program.
Pulling up the Unilocal app, In & Out was at the top of the list with high ratings. Well, golly geez, so conveniently located to the place I lay my head at night, I called to get the skinny; appointment required? No. How much for the test? $ 50.20 for my make and model of box. The kind gent on the other end of the line also mentioned they are a CA State Certified Smog Check Station. I guess that’s important.
When I arrived, I was greeted by the same gent I spoke with who asked for my license and registration renewal notice. I asked how long it would take, he said 15 minutes. He pointed me in the direction of their sitting area, wrote up the order, pulled my car into the testing bay.
Sitting in a chair Unilocaling away, the gent came over and informed me that the test is complete and my car passed. I looked at him in shock and told him that he quoted me 15 minutes. He asked how long has it been, I said, with a shy smile, seven to eight. We chucked.
Handing me my key and paperwork, he said that my results were sent to the DMV and AAA electronically and all I had to do was pay the registration fee. Taking my key and paperwork still in shock that it took no time at all, I checked-​in on Unilocal.OMGoodness!!! Whatcha you know, there is a $ 10.00 of check-​in offer. Feeling slightly embarrassed for not checking in before I was charged, I walked back into the shop and showed him the offer and asked if there was anything he could do. Next thing I knew it, he was pulling out a $ 10.00 bill from the register.
Please learn from my mistake, check-​in before you are charged. Unless I get a new car before the next testing year, I will most definitely come back to In & Out for my smog test. Staff are friendly and quick. Although I was quoted 15 minutes and it took less than 10, it was a welcomed surprise.
