C&C Cat Furniture

We wanted to get a new cat condo for our three cats for Christmas. I wasn’t even sure where to look and the usual «pet store chains» didn’t have what we wanted and they had to be ordered anyway. So it was such a nice surprise to find C&C Cat Furniture and Chris with his beautiful cat «trees». It was nice that we didn’t have to order anything but that they had several in the store to choose from. We were able to pick one out, get it packed in the van, and home to the cats the same day. We found exactly what we wanted, it’s beautiful and even looks like a tree, and best of all — the cats fully approve. It’s also providing the humans with hours of entertainment just watching them. Thanks Chris!

My insane weirdo cat loved the «hoop» feature on her old tower so much that it eventually broke. I couldn’t find another tower with the feature, and then I had a sad cat who would make pitiful attempts to scale the broken, sideways hoop. :(((On a whim, I Unilocaled «custom cat furniture» and I am so glad I did! Went in on a Saturday to ask if my special snowflake cat could have a hoop again and got an amazing custom «tree-​style» tower with a hoop on it the very next Saturday! The owner clearly enjoys building these and has a little wall of pictures for satisfied customers. My insane cat loves her new, sturdier hoop and my less insane but fatter cat loves that there’s a low platform that she can access.

Just picked up a cat tower from C&C. I could not be happier with the service and quality of the item.
If you have ever shopped for cat furniture before I’m sure you had have noticed that it’s expensive and poorly made. These are the exception to that rule. They are made on-​site and the quality of both the carpet and construction and vastly superior to anything you will find at Petco, Petsmart, etc.
The prices are fair for a quality made item and they are sturdy!
If you find what you like in stock, great, but they can make custom pieces as well. I will report back if I encounter any problems but I can’t imagine this thing not lasting for years.

I bought a cat tree years ago for my cats from Costco in Burbank that was made in the U.S. It is extremely well made but years of kitty scratching have taken their toll. I am loathe to buy a Chinese made one from the pet stores; they are flimsy and poorly made. After searching in vain for one as well made as the one it replaces I came across the Unilocal reviews for this little business in Burbank. Lo and behold, these are the Mercedes of the cat trees. Heavy, sturdy and well made. Customer service is great thanks to Chris who took my initial phone call and Julio who sold us the tree.
They also deliver but we were able to stuff in the car. So nice to deal with people who make things locally!

We purchased a Cat «condo» for our little Rescue Cat from here a couple weeks ago, and our little girl loves it! We walked in and looked at the selection, and found the perfect condo for her. What we liked is that they could have customized something for us as well. The prices are good, and product is sturdy. I had been looking around, and all the other places I looked, the cat condos seem flimsy, didn’t seem sturdy. So if u happen to find something cheaper. Just make sure it’s as good of quality as the furniture they have here. Quality should outweigh price when it comes to this. I can tell this cat condo will last for years. Plus the customer service was GREAT!

I really wanted to review this place cuz I was bummed to see the experience one of the other Unilocalers had.
Me lady and I have recently adopted a cat, her name is Meg White. When we started shopping for all her gear we went to many pet stores, both major chains and local independents. Now in my experience the cat condos made here are of a higher quality and fair rate. I suggest if your in the market for a condo stop by a few stores and feel the strength and feel the sturdiness. Check the price then come here last. Yes once you go in there are some already made, but you can have them custom made. They have an entire catalog of product you can order or you can simply go in with specific measurements and needs and let them make it for you. I worked with Chris, and he was a super cool dude. Gave me all the info, helped talk to me about the area I was gonna put it in and helped me see price differences. They also deliver. Please if your in the market look around and you will see these are built sturdy and with attention to detail.

A pretty rough experience …
Let me start by saying that one is much more likely to complain about a bad experience than praise a good one. And my experience is probably a very rare one … but that aside, I’d like to prepare you in the event that our experience wasn’t a one off:
My girlfriend and I went in search of a replacement cat tower on a Friday. We walked in, unsure of what to expect. We quickly discovered that there were only a few pre-​buit options to purchase that day, but that there were plenty of custom options that were available to build. We looked through the catalog, and with the help of the woman who seemed to be in charge, picked out the tower we wanted. She then showed us different carpet options, even grabbing an exacto knife and cutting us individual swatches of carpet to hold and look at in the light.
After we had settled on all of our options, she let us know that they would need the weekend to build our tower, but that she would call us on Monday when we could come and pick it up. It’s a 5’5 ft tower, so we discussed in the store borrowing a friend’s truck so that we could arrange to transport the tower. We paid in store, thanked them for a very nice experience, and then left. Not too bad?! …
Come Monday, we hadn’t received a phone call as of 2:45 PM. So I decide to call and just see if it was ready yet. The woman who helped us pick out the tower answered the phone, and after a few short pleasantries, let me know that the tower was not going to be ready today. It never was supposed to be ready for Monday. Wednesday or Thursday at the earliest. I reviewed our previous conversation with her, but she insisted that she never would have said Monday. We may have mis-​heard, but Monday was never something that she would have said. Frustrated, but misunderstandings can happen, I hung up and was prepared to wait until Thursday.
Several minutes later, she calls back to let me know that she meant to call me earlier today, because the fabric that we picked out was too short. She just hand’t had a chance to call me yet to tell me that. Yes, the fabric that she handled with us and helped us pick out was too short for the tower we wanted. At this point, we were at more than a potential miscommunication, and had arrived at bad business. When I let her know that we’d look elsewhere and would like to cancel our order, she let me know that I could return to the store at any point to have her swipe the card and refund the order, and then she promptly hung up. At that point I was ready to call the credit card company to have them stop payment, when she calls me back again and lets me know that she had refunded the order.
I don’t expect perfection. But I do expect honesty & something other than indignation when confronted with a mistake. Here’s hoping that others have a better experience than we did!

I am so glad I found this place. I have three lazy cats and they need their own furniture. C and C makes custom carpeted cat trees with real flooring carpet. I bought a cat tree last year on Amazon and ended up with a mediocre tree with terrible fabric. The tree I just bought from C and C is thick pile carpet in a neutral ivory color. My cats took to it immediately. You cannot beat the prices for these. We will definitely be back to have our cat tree reupholstered (which they do at a fraction of the cost for a new one). My only gripe is that they didn’t have a big selection of pre-​mades to choose from. It was either the few on the showroom floor or order a custom one and wait.

I happened upon this place just driving by and seeing their cat condos outside, no sign or big huzpah, just a small warehouse really.
I came in and met Julio, who I wasn’t sure if he worked there or not because he just starting talking to me and then I asked about prices and he showed me the book they have. Just some paper stapled together, nothing fancy.
We found a condo we liked, but wanted to make some adjustments and he said ‘No problem!’ And let us pick the carpet color too. Julio daylights as a flooring/​carpeting company for houses, but at night, he becomes the Mighty Cat Condo Maker. There are some intense condos being made. Like full on shaped and colored like trees. And TALL. Like a real tree.
These things are STURDY. Made with strong wood and thick carpet. Seems like you’d have to have a lion to tear this thing apart.
Julio said if anything happens or the carpet gets torn up he would repair. Talk about service! He was more concerned about our needs than his sale. He said he wanted us to be happy. He came up with this business as a way to supplement his other business when it is slow. I’m sorry not sorry, but that impresses me so much! Taking a skill you have and finding a creative way to profit.
We placed our order and $ 130 later we were peace out. (We got a condo about 5 feet tall with three levels, rope on the sides for scratching and a string play rope hanging from the third level). I did not feel gouged on this price.
We headed to Petco next to stock up on supplies (this is our first pet btw, getting two kitties!) and we saw their Cat Condos. Firstly, overpriced and half done! Some of their condos don’t have carpet on the insides! And you could tip them over easily. You could feel the quality difference. Do not buy from Petco. Julio sells all sizes and will custom make!
The material Julio uses are sturdy and you can feel good that you are helping pay his rent and feed his family and not funding a wealthy guys Yacht project. (Seriously though, Petco is owned by private equity firms).
They take Credit Cards, no Amex though (of course not, no one takes them!)
He said two days and it would be done. And they do deliver, for a small fee
$ 25 for 15 miles
$ 50 over 50 miles
And they will trash for you as well for $ 40.
