History
Established in 1984.
American Way Management Inc. was founded by the late William J. Ashe in 1984. When he opened his door for the first time it was very much a family run business as it still is today. I can say that because everyone at American Way is like family and we hope you can feel that when you walk though the doors today. Some of our employees have been with company for nearly twenty years and as for customers some more than twenty. THANK YOU!!! Our thrift store is not like other stores, we are a for profit thrift store which means our employees are full time and know what they are doing and love doing it. We believe this makes for a better shopping experience. Our charity is The Helping Hands For The Blind, the charity reaps benefits from all three of our locations Burbank, Lancaster and Victorville. You can also help our charity by calling 1−800−576−5786 and donating your reusable household items for a tax deductable receipt. Lancaster phone # 1−661−723−3030. Victorville phone # 1−760−955−6511.
Meet the Business Owner
Keith A.
Business Owner
Well here are a few interesting tidbits about my family and myself and how we got started in the thrift store business. My mother and father met in a thrift store in Seattle Wash. NO JOKE! He was the store manager and my mother had just moved to the U.S. from N. Ireland and was hanging clothes in the back room. On their first date he asked her to marry, she told him he was crazy but things worked out I guess. After many years of managing stores my father took a chance at his own and the Burbank American Way came to be. Unfortunately my father lost his battle with lung cancer back in 2001 but the American Way still survives. The legacy lives on.
