Georgia’s Own Credit Union

I have been a member with Georgias Own for over 14 years have had 5 auto loans with out a single late payment and in all cases paying off the loans ahead of time. Recently i applied for a personal loan with them to consolidate high interest credit cards and a high interest personal loan. The lack of communication from the loan officer was appalling, over 10 days passed between the time I applied for the loan to the time i was declined. After the loan officer requested pay verification documentation i made 5 unretruned calls to his office over 3 days to make sure he recieved the documents as their was no communication on his part. The times i was able to reach him i was told he would call me back in a few minutes with an update, guess what? No call from him. This happened twice. I was also told the underwriter would be calling me by the end of buisness today, guess what? Call never came. I found out i was decline via the antiquated on line banking systen Georgias own provides. My credit score is 721, if for some reason my long standing relationship with this establishment and my 721 credit score was not enough to secure a loan with them so be it. But at least have the professionalism to return my calls and let me know if not in person at least via phone call i was declined. I will be closing my account with Georgias Own «credit union» tomorrow and taking my buisness to one of the mega banks where i will be expected to be treated like crap.
