Quick, friendly, reasonable and efficient service. Not to mention they can make a key that works the first time and doesn’t break (unlike any hardware store around).

These guys have been providing professional service
for years .Very pleasant to work with which is very helpful since
some degree of drama can accompany a lock issue.
And talk about reasonable, they have actually saved us money !

I consider Suburban Lock & Key my locksmith. Period. I absolutely love these guys.
To start, the staff is extremely knowledgable about all things locks, and have even made me more educated on the subject. From a service perspective, they’re amazing, and are always more than willing to help.
I had only used Suburban to make keys, and install a security lock on an apartment prior to my home purchase. After that purchase, it turned out there were many, many, many keys missing that we were unaware of until after the closing. It was a mess.
Suburban ended up re-​keying, and re-​tooling a lot of the locks at the house. As well, I even had a missing skeleton key for the upstairs bedrooms that they managed to locate and key for the doors without my even having to take mechanics off the doors!
Speaking as to their service, one of my neighbors that happens to be elderly was out walking her dog later in the evening last fall, and she ended up dropping her house key in the leaves. Even though they don’t normally take emergency calls, when I contacted their service (which is ²⁴⁄₇), one of the guys I normally deal with called me back and made a special trip at 8 in the evening to help my neighbor out. That was above and beyond in my book. Sad thing is, we ended up finding her keys in the morning, but that wouldn’t have helped her out that evening!
Regardless, if you are in the Williamsville/​Clarence/​East Amherst area, Suburban should be your locksmith. They are just plain great.

We had just moved in our new house and we wanted some extra keys made. I was driving with my husband talking about it and he said, «Hey, there is a key place right on the corner over there, see if they can do it». So I run in the shop and they make some keys for me super fast. While I was in there I said I wanted to get the key locks changed out, could they do that? Absolutely! They make house calls!
So I went home and took some pictures of the existing locks and came back and showed them to them. They said they would be no problem to replace. I picked a day and time frame for them to show up, super easy to book. The people who work in the shop are very nice and professional.
Day of lock changes, the lock guy called me up and let me know he was on his way over. He showed up, changed the locks and made me extra keys from right inside of his truck. Took maybe 45 minutes-​ish for him to do everything. The new locks look great and work perfectly. We are very happy with the service provided by this shop!
Good price too! A little more expensive than changing your locks yourself but still extremely reasonable and hiring this out means I don’t have to nag my husband to do something he doesn’t really want to spend the time doing anyhow. Will return here for future lock and keys needs.

I needed a simple job done, and they refused.
I just bought a 2007 Chevy from a dealer, and, post recall, it only comes with a single transponder key. I did a little internet research, and found out it is really easy to get the transponder key blanks for cheap from amazon, rather than paying $ 100 per key from the dealer. I ordered a handful and got in my new car and headed down to get copies done. (It is really easy to encode the new keys once they are cut, so that was a non-​issue).
I handed the guy the key blanks and my key off my keyring, and told him that I needed copies… he said: He can copy this key, but «his boss» wouldn’t allow copies of that type of key. Seriously? The car is right outside, with the dealership paperwork still in the glovebox! He still refused as «his boss» was not there.

Not a good company to deal with, very disorganized company. They send you back and forth between locations without notifying the employees of other locations about your visit. You get there and nobody knows why you are there. Recently, I purchased a combination key pad and electric strike for a security door. The power leads were never soldered to the contacts and when I went back to the store they didn’t have a replacement. They told me to call the Kenmore store, so I did as always they had no idea what I was talking about. The Kenmore store told me they would bring me a replacement, they never did. I then called them again and asked when they were going to deliver the replacement and they said that they didn’t know where it was. Eventually I just went away, couldn’t handle the run around. Terrible terrible terrible service, please don’t waste your time go somewhere else.

So, my husband bought this weird car key thingie from Japan. It’s essentially a fob that auto locks and unlocks your car from a distance (along with your trunk), and has a blank key that folds out from the fob. They’re standard for Volkswagon, but not for the Hyundai that he drives.
We went to Suburban Lock and Key to get the blank key for the weird car key thingie cut. Not only did the key cutter make the key fairly quickly, but he then tested the key out in our car several times to make sure he did a good job. He really took his time to asess how well the key worked in our car. And in the end, after he probably spent about 20 minutes making sure the quality was up to snuff, he only charged us two bucks.
Great value, great work, great price. I’ll be calling them when I lock myself out of the house again, which I’m sure will probably be soon enough.
