My furnace pilot light was out. I could light the pilot, but It wouldn’t stay on. I knew it was the thermocouple. Not my first rodeo. Gas valve and controller was new. I called a lot of places that had different trip charges and were generally secretive about job prices. Jameson came, they wanted a whopping $ 358 for a thermocouple install. I sent him away and didn’t pay the $ 39 trip charge, I already told them what was broken. tmark wanted $ 218 installed, more up front in speaking, but still too much. I called Adema and the woman on the phone quoted $ 89 trip and $ 70 for the install/​part plus tax.
That was reasonable. It took the guy over half an hour, apparently there was some corrosion, wasn’t the most straight forward it could be, but no extra charge and I used their $ 10 online coupon, which knocked off most of the tax.
After an entire day of talking to companies that wanted to push ‘whole system fix/​tune up’ that I simply did not have the money for, as in it did not exist, I got a company that replaced the part and the furnace works. I will not freeze to death today.
Shame on the company that wanted to overcharge me to death, would not budge and left me with no heat.
I recommend Adema for any furnace repair. They are honest, up front and reasonable… when most other companies state those things in their ads… this company actually delivers those things.

Pros: came out promptly and fixed my air conditioning. Cons: My reason for giving them two stars is that they charged me over $ 100 more than the quote they gave me (without tax), and the quote was not presented as an estimate. I called once I got the bill and asked why I was being charged a much different amount (I consider this a pretty significant amount), and they dismissed my concern by mentioning that the technician must have just forgotten to add service charges to the final bill without even apologizing for the error. Lesson learned –if you are going to use them, make sure you get the amount IN WRITING before they do the work because they won’t necessarily honor what they tell you beforehand.

I’ve used Adema for years. Usually you’re calling for a heating company at the worst time (failed furnace). It was sunday morning and 12 degrees out and ours was dead. Their tech was here first call and got us back and heating in no time. Recommended!

Great service. Had them out for service in the past and now to install new furnace and air conditioner. They were very professional and knowledgable, and did a beautiful job, made the whole experience very pleasant. Thank you.
